Some muslims wear black hijab for this reason: black doesn't draw attention. In Islam, the principle of clothing is "cover your 'aurat' (for women means covering all parts of the body except face and hand) and don't dress too much because too much/drawing attention." It's the same concept with office workers wearing neutral color suits (black, grey, white, beige) instead of yellow or red because that's the norm.
But black hijab doesn't always mean more conservative. If someone wears black hijab but there's a fashion sense in it, then it's not 'the conservative black hijab'. Same concept with little black dress.

LMAO no! But those who tend to wear more different styles, patterns and color combinations are definitely more fashionable! But isn't it true in case of all clothes? However of someone still wears one color all the time then it only means one thing. It's her favorite color!
Those who always wear black burkha and black hijab only may just be more simple and feel like it's unnecessary to style it up. I know many girls that cover completely in black on the outside but they are shopping for accessories and cute dresses all the time lol. It means that they are fashionable but just don't prefer to display it.
In my country, I noticed that girls who are more conservative and religious tend to wear dark colours for their hijabs and clothing in general (black, brown, grey), it goes from normal clothes and head scarves to the complete hijab, while there are others who like to wear different colours, style it in different ways, some follow hijab fashion trends etc..
Does the color of the clothes you wear mean anything? It's just another piece of cloth wrapped around the head. Shares the same meaning as the rest of the outfit. For example if you're going to a funeral a black hijab is worn with a black outfit for obvious reason.

Not really, black is The most basic go to colour in many countries. Other colours are mostly used for fashion, to suit your outfit of the day or your abaya.
Some Islamic universities and schools have specific mandatory uniform colours, most commmon I’ve personally seen is white and occasionally black (varies from country to country though).Interesting, I'm not Muslim or from a Muslim majority country, so, I'm not expert.
However, from what I get from the youtubers I watch, no, the color is simply based on the woman's liking :)
ex. I watch Dina Tokio and she wears loads of different colors just depending on her outfit and make up.I work in a community college and have students from all over the world. A French muslim girl was wearing a black hijab with white inside layer around her face and got a group of Somalian women giving condolences for her loss and they were really devasteted and telling that in their country its very bad bad bad sign. She was really confused. They explained it means you have lost your husband so its a sign of being a widow. So i do believe there is a lot of rules with colors and combinations that are just not shared.
Colours don't have meaning except green. Green is colour of Islam, it is considered holy colour. So dark green and green-white, black are maybe more humble ones. The rest is style / fashion / beautylicious reasons, so to say.
Not really, a lot of women tend to wear colourful ones because they like it, some wear it as a fashion statement. Most just wear them matching to their outfits
Some say to wear black as it doesn't draw as much attention. You mean like the bindi (i think that’s what it’s called) many indian women have? Like, it shows a certain status? I don’t think it does. Hijab is just a piece of clothing that was tied to a religion.
Black is the most conservative. Colours are just a way of expressing yourself, and being fashionable :)
Usually no.
But for some muslims, they have CREATED a muslim woman clothing as a black over sized bag.Would like to ask tho since when someone's religion has to do with the residency status of someone SMH
No it does not have a meaning, mostly they would try to match the hijab with the color of clothes they're wearing and also they would try to be more fashionable with bright color.
Out in Egypt, It is Black. No other Color will Do with a Hue. xx
I think it's like choosing colours for clothing, just whatever is in season and whatever suits you
thats like saying do shirts hold different meanings. no, they just wear what they want.
Each colors meaning is a different sign of oppression towards women so they dont show there faces while the mean go screw goats
It has no meaning, they wear it to match their outfit, the only purpose of the hijab is to cover their hairs doesn't matter what colour it is.
I've seen Europeans wearing t-shirts of different colours. Do the different colours have any meaning?
Just take it off and be truly happy. Except if you are living in a strict house or country then it might be better to keep it on.
its upon their culture where the come from it differs from to another
Doesn't mean anything, just matched with the outfits.
Nah it's just to match the color with the outfit color
