I'm not saying we're bound by our genders, but we've both evolved in such a way that we specialize in certain fields.

Men are physically stronger and thus excel in more dangerous situations.

Women are more nurturing and are better with raising kids.

Men can lactate, yes, but people only lactate after a pregnancy, so, unless the man deceives his body with special hormones into thinking it's pregnant, the body won't start lactating. Also, women are by nature built for lactating unlike men.
