Is there nothing rapists or murderers can do to redeem themselves?

So it seems that everyone believes rapists and murderers deserve to die in our society. Is there nothing they could do to deserve to live. What if we are killing people who could bring good things into the world after they commit hanous crimes. How could we possibly know for sure?

Even if someone does something terrible that I disagree with and hurts someone, they should be given at least another chance. If they continue to kill and rape, say they do it a second time, they should be held responsible and incarcerated for life, not killed. I'm not saying it's an eye for an eye, and I hope and pray they find forgiveness from God and from others, but if you take a life you basically forfeit yours, and it should be given in prison. Consequences for cruel acts are necessary, otherwise people will just keep doing what they do without check.

Mike Huckabee made a run for the presidency, as a Republican candidate. Buy Mikey didn't stand a snowball's chance, because of something very stupid that he did as governor of Arkansas.
As as the governor of Arkansas, he pardoned a lot of violent criminals who were serving time in prison.
This is one of the pieces of shit that he pardoned.

One week after being freed, Maurice Clemmons walked into a coffee shop in Lakewood, Washington, and murdered four cops that were having lunch.

The next month would have been Christmas, and those cops would have been spending time with their spouses and children, but Huckabee fucked that up.

Two days later, a cop pulled Clemmons over in Seattle, on a routine traffic stop. Clemmons attacked officer Kelly, and Kelly put a bullet in his head. Kelly was hailed as a hero in Seattle and Western Washington, but some sleazy lawyer still sued the Seattle PD for $165,000 for "excessive force."

One of Clemmons' many crimes, was the rape of a child. Some people don't deserve to live.

That is a truly horendous and terrible story. I can't say that i have any sympathy for that cold blooded killer. I don't think that gives me the right to wish for his death, but i hope scociety will rid the world of the meaningless suffering people like this man causes. But we can't condemn everyone convicted of heinous crimes as if good people aren't capable of doing terrible things. I know my view is fringe and i don't expect to convince you i am right. But i have to stand by my values.
