Why do some many people hate on single mothers? (Page 2)

Question

I've seen so many people especially men who hate on single moms and I really can't understand why? Yes children need both parents but this isn't always an option. Sometimes they're widows or they divorced their husband because he was abusive and it's better for children to grow up without an abusive father than with one. I think it's really a noble and impressive thing when a woman is raising her children and also doing all the work alone, it shows how brave and powerful women really are. If any single mom is reading this I love you and I respect you ❤

We don't hate on them. Just avoid them. you just end up paying for all their kids stuff. Then there is the father. Then you are always like 12th on the list of importance. Then there is the extended family. Dating a mom, you just end up getting treated like the white knight simp with a bank account. Yay, i get to take care if someone elses kids, get even before marriage “im too tired”, back seat to everything meh. Life is short. Dated a few, been there, done that, no thanks.

People don't hate single mothers. They dislike what they represent, which is a breakdown of social strength for a reliance on governmental supervision.

I'm not making a judgement on individuals here, nor am I trying to label a group. I know two single mothers - one of them is fabulous and a victim of circumstance - one is in it for government support.

I am indifferent whether or not a woman is a single mom or not. Single moms are so dang prevolent that women without children in my area are a rarity.

I pretty much assume that any woman I meet has at least one child.

I think some of it is because everyone treats single moms like they are heroes and are always quick to celebrate them but single fathers get none of that love. they work just as hard at it but are ignored for their efforts

OK, the reality is that dating a single mom can be very tough. Financial problems are common and getting along with someone else's kids can be hard, esoecially if you have no authority over them and they know they come first on their mother's eyes.
