Good question. I'm having a hard time coming up with something novel, or that's not very obvious, or negative.
There is one huge shift I have seen - the disappearance of natural materials. Apparently our resources have dwindled down to almost nothing, but also... have we philosphically shifted far the other direction (some people) into a much greater emphasis on protection?
Long story short, I have always loved things of nature, animals, flora/fauna, all that, but wish I had known the natural things of the earth were going to no longer be as available. Like, we have over-harvested the trees, and now there are apparently not enough to go around, to be able to make real wood furniture. Is that true? Or is it merely a cost issue? We got spoiled, we became lazy, we are fickle, and now we expect our furniture to change with the times? And 'break-down' furniture (did you know they used this during WWII, to be able to easily and quickly set-up and break-down a base camp, but really, do we need this immediacy and convenience nowadays?) Out with antiques, and in with disposable. Pressed particle board. More glue than wood. Sawdust, basically. Is that what the world wants? Cause that's not what I want. I think long and hard about every purchase I make. And let me tell you, it's not easy trying to not have any plastic in your home. (Or anything that includes the word "faux".) And to live with all of your purchases, no matter when or why you made them.
And while I have very conflicting feelings about the amount of meat we consume via livestock raised for this sole purpose, I still can't stand 'vegan leather' (call it what it is - plastic... vinyl). I miss the longevity, staying power, and beautiful natural patina that 'real' things used to have. Authenticity is so-often manufactured now. 'Honest Ice Cream'. Come on. Ice cream is ice cream. Ok, fewer ingredients, higher quality ingredients (yes, I am all for it, in general, but ice cream ingredients was never a big problem - I mean there's never been any danger of message being in there, which f's your metabolism, for instance) but it sounds like pretentious, pandering, marketing manipulation. Just make it with cream and sugar and fruit and chocolate, whatever - done.
What I wish is that there was enough money and financial resources to challenge corporations, big and small, and not allow them to make false, lofty claims, false advertising, and try and manipulate minds (I know - I do also believe in 'free will' and that we are all ultimately responsible - I really do believe this.) And I wish if we did raise animals, such as cattle, for our consumption, that it was always done as humanely as humanly possible (yes, I'm saying it that way for emphasis; And watch the outstanding HBO movie Temple Grandin based around the idea of an autistic who revolutionizes the cattle livestock industry), and if it was, we used all parts of an animal and were never wasteful or disrespectful, because I really miss my leather and suede jackets. Or we should all go vegetarian. But I don't know. I don't feel at all balanced when I don't have protein in my diet.
So sorry for the long answer. But I can imagine a world where many genuine materials are banned, and I'm not sure that I want to be around for that day. But what I wish would happen is that false product claims could be challenged, and those things eradicated from society. Because what we need is less conspicuous consumption, and more thoughtful decisions being made about who we are and what we want. If 'you are what you own', many people are in trouble.

Private ownership of certain types of property, like commercial vehicles.
I don't think many things will be outright banned through those means, but instead regulations will prevent the production and importation of things, like cars that don't achieve X miles per gallon or better.
