Okay, Jonah Hill (women reverting to type) was criticized for being heavy and this gal could fit him inside her torso with no difficulty. I love it when the group who enjoys many levels of double standards always claims that THEY are the suffering victims.
Name one obese male celebrity who doesn't only get roles as disgusting losers, clueless buffons, or flat out evil people.
Now think about obese actresses who are taken seriously... quite different, isn't it?

When you put it that way (considering the roles male actors are given compared to females) I completely agree. There is totally a double standard there. I answered that question you’re referring to. Not in the way of standing up for her, but to try to explain to the asker that she’s not promoting obesity, she’s just promoting self love and showing her confidence. You make very valid points in your question here, not something I can say for the other asker. I didn’t like how he came on here for opinions but then would tell everyone who didn’t agree with him or see things his way that we are wrong. The one double standard that also seems to exist though, is how more females in the public eye are criticized for gaining weight. Jonah Hill and Seth Rogen have lost weight. If they put on about 20 lbs again, magazines wouldn’t care. Now, take maybe Adele who’s just had dramatic weight loss. If she gained the weight back, I wouldn’t doubt that people would think she’s the worst person for gaining weight. Media loves to point out when female celebs gain a few pounds. If there are more men I am missing, let me know, I could be wrong in saying there are more females pointed out. This is just from what I’ve noticed.
Thanks for sharing that. I didn’t realize how many males out there had been shamed. It proves what I shared on that other question to be correct: shaming doesn’t help others lose weight. Depression can lead to over eating. Everyone is allowed to love their bodies, big or small.
Thinking about what you've said I think you are right. In this case there is a double standard. The body positivity movement focuses on only women not men.

You've written nothing but truths. It's honeslty disgusting to see feminists taking the defense for morbidly obese so called - models, and once when fat man appears they shout at him to lose weight as he is unhealthy fat.
It's the double standars dude, feminist are stupid enough to have stupid belief that everything has to be centered about women, every type of women body has to be accepted and celebrated, no matter how skinny or fat. But when guy shows up, he immidiatley gets spat on for being disgustingly fat.
I'm getting sick of it, I am not fat myself, but a friend of mine goes through it regulary, and he is indeed trying to lose weight, but no one even supports him, which is terrible. I can only imagine if woman was the case, she would immidiatley get applauses for being brave and accepting of her body. Disgusting, but unfortunately, I don't believe this will ever change.
I could care less of how lizzo looks. Don't approve of her showing her ass and acting vulgar allowing young women/kids to think its normal. She just trashy.
While I do agree that we shouldn't be shitty to obese people, because we don't know their struggle, if there is one, I agree with you as well. I also hate how this whole body positivity movement has led to extremely large girls wearing super tight, super revealing clothes. I admire the confidence, but I just don't want to see anyone's belly literally hanging out.
Which is why no one actually like feminist, all they claim about sexism despite being extremely sexist and one sided themselves. Good job man for exposing their hypocrisy.
I wouldn't date Lizzo, because I find her neither attractive nor healthy; if I were a girl, I wouldn't date any guy looking like Jonah Hill in the picture; and for the same reason; so she me!
