Feminism at its core is supposed to be about equality, but the current generation of women have turned it into a female supremacy movement. One which is extremely political. Take the #metoo movement. In your women's studies courses young girls are taught that 1 in 4 women will be raped.. Which is completely false.. they are taught that there is a wage gap, Which is also completely false.. They push this idea that the patriarchy is some big bad boogie man when it simply doesn't exist. And you have these radicalized professors that teach it, using the SCUM manifesto as the basis for some of its teaching (SCUM Manifesto is the society for cutting up men by Valerie Solanas). Or you have them teaching things from Sally Miller Gearhart.. Which is the woman who believed that the male population should be reduced to less than 10% of the world population, and we should have a holiday where men should be marched out of their homes at the age of 13 and castrated.
And you have other feminists saying male casualties of war mostly effect women.. what about the men who lost their lives.. Most feminists see men as either the enemy or disposable. They believe that women are inherently disadvantaged compared to men, when the majority of college grads, high school grads, scholarship grants are women.. You have the National organization for women who Actively push for excluding men from domestic violence statistics, and rape statistics.. and push the idea that men simply cannot be victims. You also have them pushing legislation that forces men out of children's lives...
Then you have other feminists that believe that the death of the family is necessary, and actually push for Communism..
And sadly these aren't the majority of feminists.. these are just the ones that get the most media coverage, The loudest voices.

I think its misinderstood
I haven't studied Feminism in detail, but it's surely far from perfect. In my point of view, men and women are different, and so I don't actually want to be treated exactly like a man.
What I want the most from feminism is the acceptance that female roles and femininity is as important as masculine roles and masculinity. We need each other and we are each equally important. This would mean respecting that woman who raises children and takes care of a household is doing a job as important as a man going out, pursuing his ambitions and making money. And on a secondary level, the people who don't suit the roles should live as they like, not how society dictates.
Therefore this idea of mine has been greatly disappointed. Women's domestic roles are more disrespected than ever before. In the past only a very poor women was expected to have children, take care of the house and work, now only very rich women are excluded from this.
The way I've been raised, to value relationships and family more than career makes me look stupid. People keep trying to tell me that I've got it wrong... no one can accept that my opinion is just different. Having a good family, taking care of each other, living comfortably, that's what really matters in life for me, but I've been able to openly admit that too any of my peers. Since people claim feminism is about choice, if this is my choice, shouldn't it also be respected?

I support equal pay for equally skillful work, but the fact is most women do not do equally skillful work in equally difficult fields of work.
For example, since very few women take and pass STEM majors, you shouldn't expect women to make as much income as men in the first place, and very few women become doctors, women tend to become nurses, so again you should not expect women to make as much money in the medical industry.
the CSR at Pizza Hut who doesn't do her damned job correctly shouldn't even be paid minimum wage, while a driver should get paid a LOT more than they get paid, whether it's a man or woman. It depends on what type of feminism. Modern American feminism? NO. The original feminist movement? Yes. There is a major difference. The original feminist movement was about actual equality. It was formed to allow women to have the opportunity to vote and work. Those women just wanted to be included in society. Modern American feminism focuses on giving women more power than men. It claims to be for equality, but it isn't. It is run by extremists who want to be the ones in power. They claim women are still oppressed because they don't have the majority of power. It is about silencing men and kicking them out of the conversation. It bashes men for being masculine and calls traditionally feminine women oppressed. It pretends that men are the problem for everything. It paints all men as abusers and all women as victims. It ignores male victims of abuse. It protects female criminals. That depends on what you mean by feminism.
The good type of feminism is promoting equal rights and equal opportunity.
The bad type of feminism is promoting equal outcome, claiming men and women are the same (aside from reproductive organs), or claiming the women are superior to men and/or men are obsolete.
(Though to clarify, some women are extremely similar to your stereotypical man, but a vast majority of men and women are biologically and psychologically inclined to different things)
That being said, feminism isn't all that needed, anymore. We're pretty much just doing minor cleanup. I'm entirely certain there are female issues that should be mentioned (but I unfortunately can't think of any at the moment) but there are some things that pertain to feminism that still need to be addressed like how women are frequently given lesser sentences for things that men would get harsher sentences for. Because keep in mind the equality doesn't only work one way. But I also feel as though many feminists, even the good kind, are misguided by twisted notions like the pay gap.
In my country abortion is banned. The law allows you to do it only in 3 cases: when your doctor say you might die because of a pregnancy, if you prove that you've been raped and when we know that the fetus will be born ill. So, if your contraception fails then fuck you - you gotta go through pregnancy and birth. The day-after pill is on prescription (which you won't get fast enough) and sterilization is illegal.
Right now the government is trying to enter the new law - banning abortion in the case of illness of the fetus. Even if the fetus doesn't have kidneys and it is known that it will die right after being born - you won't be able to abort it.
They are also trying to push the law that punishes sex education by jail. This is not a joke, although I know it sounds like it.

I support equality for everyone. I don’t call myself a feminist because feminism means a lot of different things depending on who is using the word, and I don’t want to be misunderstood. That said, a lot of people would say I’m a feminist, and I wouldn’t argue the point, I just don’t use the word to describe myself.
Is feminism toxic? I think some strains are, but on the whole m? No, I do t think so. However it really depends on what you mean by the word, and without a thorough definition I can’t give an honest opinion.

I may want to care for my kids but I also have a sense of adventurousness and ambition and the love of being challenged , which would make me very unhappy spending my stuck at home all day.

I am very nurturing and feminine and caring and with no doubt I know I would be a great mother, but understand that becoming a mom is just ONE OF MY GOALS in life. I have the rest of my other goals that I want to fulfill too.
And why should making a living for one self be considered a mans job? It is basic self survival mechanism that both males and females should have. Are you implying that a woman wouldn’t have any way to survive unless she marries a man , similar to back to the 1800s?
And plus most families cannot survive on one income. Housewiving is a thing of the past that is no longer realistic. A poor woman is much more likely to date a man for money than a woman with decent income. A man with a lot of money should be extra cautious about dating broke women who cannot pay their rent because there is a much bigger chance that she is only chasing you for your wealth.
Most men nowadays are poor and they can not afford housewives. Housewives are for rich guys, not the average joe
