Take Christina Hoff Sommers.. she's a real feminists, she has been ostracized from the "sisterhood" because she started defending boys and calling bullshit on some of their false narrative. Feminism at its core is supposed to be about equality, but the current generation of women have turned it into a female supremacy movement. One which is extremely political. Take the #metoo movement. A woman was sexually assaulted by Joe biden years ago.. Women's groups are silent on this. Aid foundations built because of #metoo refuse to help because her politics are wrong. All because she supports Bernie. And yet, Were he republican he would have been torn apart by both the media and leftists alike.
In your women's studies courses young girls are taught that 1 in 4 women will be raped.. Which is completely false.. they are taught that there is a wage gap, Which is also completely false.. They push this idea that the patriarchy is some big bad boogie man when it simply doesn't exist. And you have these radicalized professors that teach it, using the SCUM manifesto as the basis for some of its teaching (SCUM Manifesto is the society for cutting up men by Valerie Solanas). Or you have them teaching things from Sally Miller Gearhart.. Which is the woman who believed that the male population should be reduced to less than 10% of the world population, and we should have a holiday where men should be marched out of their homes at the age of 13 and castrated.
And you have other feminists saying male casualties of war mostly effect women.. what about the men who lost their lives.. Most feminists see men as either the enemy or disposable. They believe that women are inherently disadvantaged compared to men, when the majority of college grads, high school grads, scholarship grants are women.. You have the National organization for women who Actively push for excluding men from domestic violence statistics, and rape statistics.. and push the idea that men simply cannot be victims. You also have them pushing legislation that forces men out of children's lives...
Then you have other feminists that believe that the death of the family is necessary, and actually push for Communism..
And sadly these aren't the majority of feminists.. these are just the ones that get the most media coverage, The loudest voices.
Until feminism can decontaminate their ranks of that kind of cancer, i will always be the enemy of feminism.

I think its misinderstood
I haven't studied Feminism in detail, but it's surely far from perfect. In my point of view, men and women are different, and so I don't actually want to be treated exactly like a man.
What I want the most from feminism is the acceptance that female roles and femininity is as important as masculine roles and masculinity. We need each other and we are each equally important. This would mean respecting that woman who raises children and takes care of a household is doing a job as important as a man going out, pursuing his ambitions and making money. And on a secondary level, the people who don't suit the roles should live as they like, not how society dictates.
Therefore this idea of mine has been greatly disappointed. Women's domestic roles are more disrespected than ever before. In the past only a very poor women was expected to have children, take care of the house and work, now only very rich women are excluded from this.
The way I've been raised, to value relationships and family more than career makes me look stupid. People keep trying to tell me that I've got it wrong... no one can accept that my opinion is just different. Having a good family, taking care of each other, living comfortably, that's what really matters in life for me, but I've been able to openly admit that too any of my peers. Since people claim feminism is about choice, if this is my choice, shouldn't it also be respected?
It honestly depends who. Not all feminists are toxic and not all feminists have the same idea of 'feminism' in mind.

It is a very toxic hypocritical proto totalitarian misandrist groupthink that aims at dividing men and women. They claim to care about âequalityâ but their actions say otherwise.
Feminists frequently complain about âtoxic masculinityâ, the âprivilegedâ, âpatriarchyâ but these are three non existent scapegoats they use as adhesive to keep their movement from falling apart. Without these scapegoats the feminist movement in the developed world would collapse on itâs own because there really is nothing else for feminism to rally against.
What these feminists really want is a matriarchy where men are reduced to âsimpsâ who are subservient to women and where the so called âprivilegedâ groups become second class. More and more people are starting to realize that the 4th wave feminist movement is everything it claims to be against, which is why the 4th wave feminist movement is on verge of collapsing.
4th wave feminists care about âequalityâ as much as totalitarian communist regimes are âdemocraciesâ.
We need women who step in for women's rights when it is reasonable. If one looks back at how it began and with whom, it was nothing like it is with today's feminists. We don't need aggressive fanatics of any kind, be it from MGTOW, feminism, incels... As long as they just live peacefully mentally and in actions with all others, why not they all are welcome in the world.

In other parts of the world, feminism is desperately needed. What's needed in the west is for people to support people. Traditional feminism was not toxic. Traditional feminism advocated for women for equal work and pay, the right to vote, and transforming society's view of a woman equal to the view of a man.
However, modern feminism is 100% toxic. Women these days involved in feminism are over-the-top, get offended/triggered easily, and are trying to make women superior to men. Most people are probably thinking about modern feminism here so I am not surprised to see a majority of people seeing feminism as toxic.
While I am not a feminist, I do support equality but men should still be the 'captain' of the house and take charge. Although, instead of standing in the background, women would be the 'first mate' and help direct what is going on but take control when the 'captain' is not present. This co-control can be beneficial for the environment and create equal respect for both the male and female.

I support equal pay for equally skillful work, but the fact is most women do not do equally skillful work in equally difficult fields of work.
For example, since very few women take and pass STEM majors, you shouldn't expect women to make as much income as men in the first place, and very few women become doctors, women tend to become nurses, so again you should not expect women to make as much money in the medical industry.
the CSR at Pizza Hut who doesn't do her damned job correctly shouldn't even be paid minimum wage, while a driver should get paid a LOT more than they get paid, whether it's a man or woman. Also, I mean, I've seen male employees who are slackers and refuse to do their job right too, but they get fired right away. The manager will give a woman 6 months to try to do her job right before firing her, but He'll fire a man in a week if he doesn't do his job right.

It depends on what type of feminism. Modern American feminism? NO. The original feminist movement? Yes. There is a major difference. The original feminist movement was about actual equality. It was formed to allow women to have the opportunity to vote and work. Those women just wanted to be included in society. Modern American feminism focuses on giving women more power than men. It claims to be for equality, but it isn't. It is run by extremists who want to be the ones in power. They claim women are still oppressed because they don't have the majority of power. I find it unfortunate that it has become so mainstream and people cannot see the major problems it is causing in American society. I live in Japan now and feminism here is much more reasonable. It is about changing unfair rules, like the fact that a lot of employers make women wear high heels even if they have to stand all day. People want to change that, because it is causing those women damage to their feet. Things like that are reasonable. Blaming the male population for all of a women's problems is not reasonable, but it's happening anyway. I am expecting to get massive down votes and accusations of being sexist, but I am just being honest.
That depends on what you mean by feminism.
The good type of feminism is promoting equal rights and equal opportunity.
The bad type of feminism is promoting equal outcome, claiming men and women are the same (aside from reproductive organs), or claiming the women are superior to men and/or men are obsolete.
(Though to clarify, some women are extremely similar to your stereotypical man, but a vast majority of men and women are biologically and psychologically inclined to different things)
That being said, feminism isn't all that needed, anymore. We're pretty much just doing minor cleanup. I'm entirely certain there are female issues that should be mentioned (but I unfortunately can't think of any at the moment) but there are some things that pertain to feminism that still need to be addressed like how women are frequently given lesser sentences for things that men would get harsher sentences for. Because keep in mind the equality doesn't only work one way. But I also feel as though many feminists, even the good kind, are misguided by twisted notions like the pay gap.
In my country abortion is banned. The law allows you to do it only in 3 cases: when your doctor say you might die because of a pregnancy, if you prove that you've been raped and when we know that the fetus will be born ill. So, if your contraception fails then fuck you - you gotta go through pregnancy and birth. The day-after pill is on prescription (which you won't get fast enough) and sterilization is illegal.
Right now the government is trying to enter the new law - banning abortion in the case of illness of the fetus. Even if the fetus doesn't have kidneys and it is known that it will die right after being born - you won't be able to abort it.
They are also trying to push the law that punishes sex education by jail. This is not a joke, although I know it sounds like it.
I'm not from a muslim country, or some African/Asian region. I'm from Europe.

Modern feminism is toxic and actually disempowers women than empowers women. Modern feminism supports the abuse of women in pornography. It teaches women to degrade their selves for the pleasure of men by advocating âsex worker rights.â It teaches women to have unprotected sex with men and then when women end up as single mothers, it solely blames men for not paying child support. Yes, men who donât take responsibility for their kids are scumbags but if feminists hadnât told that woman to go get knocked up in the name of being âsex positiveâ she wouldnât be a single mum struggling to make ends meet.
Modern feminists also support toxic menâs rights movements like Red Pill because they would rather slut shame other women for the sake of getting picked by a low value man.

Feminists are not toxic in themselves, feminist radicalism is toxic.
This means people who simply support women's rights and believe in equality of women is fine. The Suffragettes were feminists and not radicalism.

Radical feminism is essentially just a entire anti-male society, basically going against the real feminism goal of equality between genders and instead just calling men the worst thing to ever exist.

Like all things, I think it started out with good intentions, but groups and special interests got a hold of it, and have made a mockery out of it. Femminism by itself is just asking for women to be treated and afforded the same opportunities as the male counterparts. Stop trying to treat us like its your job to protect us. that might have been a thing when we were still cave-dwellers, but that's not the case any more. That's what its supposed to be. A beacon of equality. However, groups have hijacked it to make political statements, reach groups for politics, and have even disregarded men in similar situations.
The feminazis are definitely toxic. And then there are the mainstream feminists who are unwittingly influenced by the feminazis (who control much of the narrative unfortunately). And then there are the more "classical" feminists who ACTUALLY believe in equality and freedom for both men and women. The latter group tend to focus on issues that actually matter, like FGM in developing countries, or sex trafficking gangs who target vulnerable women, etc. The others just focus on petty shit that demonises men, like "mansplaining" or non-existent "pay gap".

I support equality for everyone. I donât call myself a feminist because feminism means a lot of different things depending on who is using the word, and I donât want to be misunderstood. That said, a lot of people would say Iâm a feminist, and I wouldnât argue the point, I just donât use the word to describe myself.
Is feminism toxic? I think some strains are, but on the whole m? No, I do t think so. However it really depends on what you mean by the word, and without a thorough definition I canât give an honest opinion.

There are specific tenets of some kinds of feminism that are needed in some places in the world.
But, generally speaking, the goals of feminism, especially modern feminism, are not aimed towards equality. And most feminists are all to eager to pounce on every perceived wrong in first world nations, while ignoring, utterly, third world nations, muslim nations, and non-white cultures.
So, as long as feminism is the ideology of people who will condemn me for saying "man hole cover" instead of "person hole cover," while ignoring forced abortions in China, or child marriage in Islam... then yes, feminism is a toxic ideology that has nothing to do with equality, or even for women's wellbeing and rights.
