Those saying abortion is better than pedophilia. Let's assume a child was raped, I would rather know a child is alive not dead. Few things:

1) They're not even the same category of comparison. One is a predatorial assault that permanently scars an innocent child for life. The other is a termination of a foetus that hasn't even developed to the point it could be considered a conscious, living creature.

2) Having said that, I'm against late-stage abortions, and think there should be reasonable grounds for proceeding-- eg: the father is absent, or there's an unstable home environment, or there are no financial means to raise the child, or its the result of a rape, etc. Any abortion resulting from sober, consenting sex should be paid for by the person getting the abortion, and not offloaded to the taxpayer. I don't like the lack of accountability, where a woman can just keep getting knocked up again and again from risky casual sex, and just be like "meh, I can just get another abortion". It should be treated as a serious procedure with some actual costs or conditions involved to deter such poor decision-making in the first place.

3) Your updates are borderline nonsensical, anyone can recite vague biblical quotes and retroactively make them fit whatever agenda that person wants to push. And it almost sounds like you're making excuses for child rapists, "because abortions are bad but they're seen as acceptable, so why not legalise kiddy fiddling?" People seam to put all kinds of sinful things into a ranked order of more and lesser degrees. Probably because everyone sins and we all want to be able to say things like, "well at least I'm not as bad as that person" or something along those lines. I was watching a video on YouTube that got me thinking, how is it worse to touch a child than taking a childs life? I can't say for sure but I think more often than not pedophiles don't often get much further than touching inappropriately and surely this can lead to some sexual disorders when the victim is older. I try to keep in mind that sin, is sin, is sin. Not more or less sinful. I admit I do fall into ranking sin sometimes when comparing my sins to others, and I try not to do this of course. It can't always be halped. For example, I don't believe touching a child it's worse than taking a childs life. I also don't think ranking it makes it more or less moral in any way, but having said that, everyone finds some way to affirm their sin before acting on it though one way or another acting against the moral choice they should have mad. That goes for all sins. For argument sake though if it was a choice between a child living a life but getting molested twice during that life or having their life snuffed out because the mother and others don't want to think of the child as being a living being, I would say taking the childs life is worse than touching a child inappropriately. Murder is worse. Sure it's a difficult situation even more so if the woman was raped and gets pregnant, as in this case the child being innocent only being conceived unintentionally. The woman being a victim of a horrible crime. Then choosing to take that innocent life because you didn't want it turns you into the one committing an act that takes the life of an innocent child now the victim. A life that could have been filled with love and joy and ups and downs and all the wonders that life offers. Again it's hard to say but I think the act of taking that unwanted childs life is even worse than the act that created it in the first place. In reality this doesn't make molestation of a child or rape of a woman in anyway less than what it is. Agreeably horrible indeed words would have trouble to even compare. Having said that though, the taking of life is permanent. It outweighs an unwanted sexual encounter. I guess that's my opinion at this point of 38 years and only recently coming to this conclusion. No matter what I say there's nothing that everyone will agree with so one way or the other my opinion will get criticized. I accepted that before even saying anything. I guess I want to know if I'm right or wrong or if more or less people agree or disagree and that will in turn give me more to think about and if I'm willing to change my opinion in time. Exodus 21:22 states that if a man hits a woman causing a miscarriage, then he should be subject to a court mediated fine to be paid to the woman's husband. This means that Mosaic Law did not consider killing a fetus the same as murder, since in Judaic Law one could not compensate the family of a murder victim for a murder. There is no such thing as a "perfect translation" of any text by the way. That's not how translation works, especially when you're dealing with a language from a whole different family (English is Indo-European, most Biblical languages were Afro-Asiatic with the exception of Greek which I believe is the language that Luke and perhaps occasionally St. Paul wrote in.) So really you can just go shuffle words around until something fits with your world-view. E. g. the same word could very well translate into "men who practice homosexuality" and "homosexuals", especially since afro-asiatic languages like Hebrew, Aramaic and Arabic are so heavily gendered grammatically. Hebrews by the way did have a word for abortion (pronounced "shachol"). Never made it into the Bible for some reason though... almost as if they didn't care.
