I support the idea that all lives matter.

But I do not support BLM because it is a domestic terrorist organization that is based on the myth that blacks are more likely to be killed by police when arrested than others are. That is not true.

Policing is supposed to be objective; each situation is separate and must be handled by the book.

Just because a group of the population has negative statistics about them, does NOT allow the cop to prejudice the entire group & constantly using excessive force against that entire group when policing them.

A police officer needs to be free of all prejudice, statistics or not.

Yes, you and I know the black American population has a very high rate of “violent crime”.

      So what? Doesn’t matter.

The officer still needs to be objective.

Every police situation should be handled on an individual basis. The officers should NOT unnecessarily initiate using excessive force against a black American citizen, regardless of what the statistical data says about that group.

If said officer is not able to be objective and not have prejudice for any reason (this includes negative statistical data towards any group), that person does not need to be in law enforcement.

Said person does not meet the requirements for the job.

@007kingifrit of course there is little to no evidence, crooked cops aren’t going to accurately report their wrongdoings. Duh.

So you have to trust the testimony of the victims (in this case, black Americans), but due to your racism you refuse to believe said testimony.

Talk to more black Americans besides me, and you will be enlightened about the truth about how lawful black American citizens are more likely to be unfairly policed unfairly without due cause.

@Prof_Don well i think you're racist for trusting the perps more than the cops

all the data clearly shows black people do more crime, the data also shows cops are not unfair to black people

statistical data disproves any claim that black people are killed at higher rates, infact once you adjust for violent crime rate among other things they are underrepresented in police use of lethal force scholar.harvard.edu/.../empirical-analysis-racial-differences-police-use-force
for those of you who say that the % of blacks stopped and killed is higher than their % of the population this is not a sign of discrimination. Black men commit 52% of all murders www.channel4.com/.../factcheck-black-americans-commit-crime it is inevitable that they need more policing as they do more crime.
infact studies show police hesitate longer to shoot black people www.researchgate.net/.../290437363_The_Reverse_Racism_Effect_Are_Cops_More_Hesitant_to_Shoot_Black_Than_White_Suspects

@ChatterboxShiv I'm sorry, but attacking people who have nothing to do with whatever your issue is, is NOT the way to be heard. It's the way to start civil war. White woman shot dead for saying all lives matter. Whether you agree or disagree with what she said, defending the murder of her for her opinion that ALL LIVES MATTER is racist and evil. I do not and will not support those people and I applaud anyone who stands up to them. I do not support CRIMINAL actions by police, but I damn sure support them ending violence and murders by massive mobs any way they have to.
Murders are up and violent crime is spiking hard in cities where they're defunding the police. It's no coincidence. Whether you like them or not, they've been effective at keeping people safe. It's hard to argue against that when they moment they're gone, the violence surges up. There are bad people in every group. Every group. You can't get rid of an entire group because a FEW suck. Otherwise all organized groups would be disbanded as well because of their law breaking members. I refuse to cherry pick and say all cops are bad cops because some cops are, when you say we can't judge other groups by the actions of only a few of their members.

Okay so if you don't support police violence in general, but support violence by police who are putting a stop to the "violence" from protesters, where does that put you? Have you seen what they are doing to people? I don't believe in ACAB but the police force is tailored for inevitable violence

All lives can’t matter until black lives matter. Logically speaking that makes sense. I’m not black but I do support the people of the black race that have a non-victim mentality.

if this is the case why Are they not talking about the man who was killed by the guy who ran after him and shot and killed this Black man than called him names over his dead body?
I guess because it wasn't a Police Officer who did it

The whole BLM movement to me seems like they are shaming white people. And gives off a cult vibe.

And tbh I don't think me supporting it is actually going to do anything for the black community.

I urge you to do some research. Think of it this way: a story is a two dimensional image of a three dimensional object (that being the bigger picture) in order for you to see the entirety of it requires that you see it from several different perspectives. You can't see the back of your phone if you're so absorbed in looking at the front, but it's still there, it's still part of it.

Well tell me what's the purpose of the BLM movement?

Ok... I mean you asked me why I don't support it I gave you my reason.

I ask you what it's purpose you tell me to do research.

Right now I'm still not convinced that I should support it.

I'm saying that one person cannot give you all the information, if you ask they will give you one perspective. But since you are persistent I will tell you what I think. The blm movement is focused on putting an end to needless brutality inflicted on black people by the police. Were some of these people criminals before? Maybe, however there is a system in place to decide that. The job of the police is to safely detane these people so they may be processed through this system properly. In regards to the black community this job is not being done very well and the backlash we're seeing today is a result of that. There are looters and there are rioters and there are people complaining about things so small as to be called microagressions. these people are overly zealous poopy heads and are simply taking advantage of the chaos to push their own shit out their ass. The real purpose of the movement, as I understand it, is to put an end to the underlying racism that lines the police system and has for a long time. That's why I support blm.

Ok so basically the purpose of BLM is to end police brutality against black people.

Well first off I don't believe that the majority of police is targeting black people and abusing their power. I'm sure it exists, but it's in the minority not the majority.

And secondly BLM wants to end police brutality against black people. Ok what's their solution?
