I am very much in favor of racial equality. I have cohabited with black men for several years including the summer of 2020. I have been in relationships with minority women. I have minority in laws. I have long time volunteered in latino countries. However I never supported Black Lives Matter because I knew damn well it was bullshit from day one.

BLM leadership never had a singular focus for supporting dispossessed black people in western countries. Sure they marketed themselves as that but there was deeper much more sinister long game going on the entire time.

In reality BLM had a multi-faceted Marxist anti American agenda and they were admitting such from their founding. Founder Patrisse Cullors (who got rich from donation money) admitted this years ago

But the one great irony of Jewish people living in the United States is they are mostly secular and vote overwhelmingly democrat. They have been this way for decades because there was a time they were considered minorities and vulnerable to hate (for obvious reasons). But since they are often financially successful they started losing their place in the “intersectional” coalition.

Hamas however openly wants to annihilate Jews. All the bullshit talk about anti Zionism is euphemistic bullshit lie. This is true anti-Semitism in the most insidious form.

Hamas brainwashes Palestinians to hate Jews since they are children. It comes as no surprise given that young men were able to commit some of the worst anti-Semitic atrocities since the Holocaust on Oct 7th and BRAG about it. That takes years of brainwashing to motivate someone to personally murder innocent people including children and be proud of it.

So I am curious how many leftist Jews are going to keep on supporting Black Lives Matter. Some insane suicidal idiots probably will but I got a feeling many won’t.

I didn’t explicitly mention that BLM chapters are “supporting” Palestine by tacitly supporting Hamas. The Chicago chapter put up a graphic of a f*cking hang glider on their blog. They took it down but offered zero apologies for it.

3 years ago I would be quickly labeled a racist if I openly said I didn’t support BLM. People tried to doxx me on here. But a minority of people knew what BLM really was back then but were threatened to speak up.

Do your homework before supporting organizations that use grievances and “social justice” to push their causes. If they don’t openly condemn rioting or much worse terror then they are likely run by sociopaths and grifters. Possibly terrorists themselves.

Now is Israel just wonderful and beyond reproach? No. I do not believe they are without sin. But why is that they are continually blamed for the oppression of Palestinians yet no other Islamic country wants them (although Iran happily funds Hamas).

Anti Zionism IS anti semitism. Hamas has been brainwashing Palestinians since they are young children to hate Jews. They even put in their f*cking cartoons. How else could young Palestinian men rape, abduct and murder innocent civilians (including children) and BRAG about it afterwards.

I support the idea. I don't believe there is actually a blm organization with any influence over the idea. There are grifters on both sides of everything but I've never seen anyone of the left even think there is a "leader" for the blm movement.

So, I suspect these blm leaders are actually funded by right wing billionaires. I have no proof but the results they've achieved are nothing for the idea of blm, but everything the right could have hoped blm leaders would do. Some people got really pissed off when I posted that. If it isn’t abundantly clear already I absolutely do NOT support anything Hamas.

But still it was hard to believe that Mossad has zero intel about this. Israel has some of the best counter terrorist intelligence organizations in the world. Given they are under constant threat on all sides they have to be hyper vigilant.

It’s just hard to believe they were caught that off guard with this attack. You would think they would at least beefed up their staff at the military bases and/or sent in plain clothed (and armed) special ops teams to border areas just in case something happened.

So my deep devils advocate question is someone intentionally let this happen as a necessary sacrifice for the greater goal. They now have full justification to eradicate Hamas once and for all (which I fully support) They would never been able to invade if that terrorist attack never happened.

It's stupid that anyone even has to say they are against the attacks on Israel. Obviously pretty much everyone is. And it strikes me as brainwashing to force people to say it over and over, like a pledge of allegiance or something. Moreover, the angry manner in which people ask others to denounce Hamas pretty much assures nothing else can be discussed after the attacks are condemned. Yet nearly everyone knows Israel has not been kind to Palestine. But that same rage flares up if you bring it up and we jump all the way to being expected to defend Hamas's actions.

It's infuriatingly disingenuous and routine. No one can insert objectivity into the conversation without getting pounced on. Well.. almost no one. Those in power can. And I must say I think Biden has navigated that about as well as it could be done. An American president is pretty much the only person who can be objective, since if people try to jump on him for being anti-israel there's always the option of just no longer providing military aid. The threat of "if you don't want to see what a US president actually being anti-israel would look like then you're going to shut your dumb mouth" is always in the air. He probably could have gone a little further but he also could have fallen so much shorter and no one would have criticized him, so meh..

Biden is in an extremely difficult position right now. I am NO Biden fan at all but I have to admit that he has so far handled this very well.

I do NOT want him to screw this up just so it hurts him politically. I rather have him resolve this and keep it contained vs. starting WW3. Even if that gets him re-elected (which I don’t want tbh) i am still completely rooting for him to keep steady and handle this.

If Hezbollah gets involved this will quickly escalate into a world war. Nobody wants that. No.

You can 100% denounce Hamas and still be pro-Palestine and pro peace. But you are seeing rallies and protests in the west where people are supporting Hamas. I have a VERY serious issue with that. It doesn’t have to be all or nothing but many people believe that. It’s scary. Very scary when that is going on in the west.

Well, again, it's not like BLM has elected leaders. I've never heard anyone on the left defer to the opinions of BLM leaders. Indeed, I've never heard of anyone on the left who was even aware there are people calling themselves BLM leaders. The whole concept seems to exist only in right wing media, which is the main reason I am suspicious of those calling themselves BLM leaders being funded by the right.

Also, personally, I really hope Biden does get re-elected. If you ignore the media and just look at the numbers, the job he is doing is astounding. If Trump had numbers like this even democrats would be clamoring to crown him king. Nowhere is this better spelled out than in the October 8-10 yougov/economist poll, in which all of the questions about people's reality (how satisfied are you with your own life, how happy are you with your job, how's your income..) recieved high approval, but questions about people's perception (what do you think about the economy, what does the job market seem like) got really low approval. The media is responsible for ensuring people's perceptions line up with reality and they are failing to do that. Because the media is owned by the right, and they do want Biden to fail..

Well we should want what’s best for America. I don’t want to go off on the deep end on Biden vs Trump. But I do not want Biden to fail America in a time when the stakes are incredibly high just so he doesn’t get re-elected. That’s not how I look at things.

But there people on both the right and left who do think that way. I remember far leftists back in 2018 who were openly hoping the economy would crash so it would get Trump out. Thats incredibly short sighted, stupid and asinine thinking.

And I feel the same way about any conservative who openly hopes for Biden to screw up the Israel Hamas war conflict. It’s not worth having a world war start just so Biden gets blamed and loses the election in 2024. No.

At the end of the day I want what’s best for America and the world. You and I might have disagreements on politics. But we should never hope for a politician we dislike to make a catastrophic mistake just so they lose voters. So that’s why I’m rooting for Biden to pull this off despite disliking him otherwise.

I dont remember anyone hoping the economy would crash under Trump, no. I remember people fearing his reuse of Bush's economic policies would result in Bush's failures, but no one I know of was hoping for it - they expected Trump to fail. They didn't hope he would. There are a lot of moments in his presidency where if he took the job seriously, as the left wanted him to, it might have assured his reelection. But he seemed to insist on doing no work and getting reelected because he did no work, not in spite of it.

Nothing made that clearer than COVID. All he had to do was defer to the professionals and he would have won reelection with 60% of the vote. Instead he instantly politicizd it and made it a wedge issue. It could have united the country around a common goal. But he wanted more rage and division, not less.

Indeed it kind of buries the lede to say whether one wants a president to succeed or not. First you have to know their goals to state whether or not they succeed at them. Biden was clear about his, despite all the misinformation from the right about them. Stabilize the economy, turn down the temperature, get us back to a normal steady sustainable growth. Something nearly everyone can agree with so of course right wing media made absolutely sure no one on the right knew these were his goals. But Biden has pretty much made progress on all of those goals, anyway. Meanwhile Trump didn't even have a platform in 2020. Republicans didn't have one in 2022. How can you hope for someone's success without knowing what their goals are? I hoped Trump would succeed at turning down the temperature, stabilizing the economy, etc, but those weren't his goals.

i think the leadership can certainly be characterized as you did. sadly this often is the way of leadership at the top of so-called no profits or political action or activist groups. power and influence tends towards corruption. again this is why i rarely financially endorse groups. because while i may agree with their supposed ideology, what the group does with the money they receive or even some beliefs of those in leadership positions may not match with mine.

Also even though I support Israel I have been asking myself a lot of devils advocate questions about what is going on. Trying to figure out WHAT is right vs BEING right. This requires patience and ego control and thats sometimes easier said than done.

I got a friend who is Egyptian and has alluded to being very pro Palestine in past conversations. I see posts anti Israel stories in his IG stories. I wouldn’t go to far to say he’s pro Hamas. But still it’s very controversial.

I didn’t engage the conversation and he changed the subject. At the time I was bit more naive on everything that is going on. But I’ve read up a lot on it.

Obviously current events are on everybody’s minds right now including his. So I dunno wtf to do when it comes to that. I used to not care but now I very much disagree with him. He’s got a violent temper too.

Similar to feeling uncomfortable in the summer of 2020 (I lived with 2 black dudes). We got along totally great until that all went down. So again I feel very uncomfortable talking to my friend about this current situation. Here is one of the only safe places I could bring that up.

Hence this is why I am on GAG sometimes. To ask questions about difficult topics I can’t bring up elsewhere without severe consequences.

Never did. On Jews and people in general, I don’t like greed. I also don’t like hyper vigilant guarding against antisemitism as if they are above judgment. But they shouldn’t die for it. This is where Muslims will disagree. They predominantly are poor. The Western world ensures that, as long as Islam is adhered to. I am just noticing lately that NO other Muslim country is willing to take in Palestinian refugees right now. Not Egypt. Not Jordan. Not Turkey. Not even Iran. Israel has a 20% Arab population.

But what bothers me the most is how many people are supporting Hamas in the WEST right now. They aren’t the majority thank God but there is definitely a sizable minority of very loud and very proud people in western countries that won’t disavow a terrorist organization. It is possible to completely denounce Hamas a still be very pro Palestine. But people aren’t even doing that including elected congress (Rashida Talib). The fact she is able to get away with this is scary. Very scary.
