As for BLM, that group is racist as hell. BLM is a front group to funnel money to the DNC; most of the donations that are going to them are first redirected to two other umbrella organizations that siphon off what they need to fund other DNC campaigns and initiatives and give BLM the scraps. It is sickening that the DNC is taking advantage of wholesome Americans desire to help solve racial injustice in order to win elections Iowa.
Actually that has been debunked many times, the money that goes to blm has not EVER went to dnc, there have already been investigation and the head of the organization have already state none goes to dnc
Not directly it first goes to ActBlue then to Thousand Currents; both of which report receiving donations for BLM but then report less donated to BLM. Act Blue primarily funds Democratic campaigns and Thousand Currents primarily funds DNC initiatives.
Act blue is a platform for people to donate to campaign and causes, it moves donations to organizations and doesn’t actually pocket any of the money, Republicans actually have their own processing tool as well called wind red, on both windred and act blue, donation to directly to its recipients, many people have already fact checked that act blue is not taking money from blm to give to democratic campaigns, you can go through fec reports to check this or literally google it, this information I easily accessed
I have a hard time supporting BLM because of all the crappy people associated with BLM, their cult mentality, and ideological differences. I'm sure we would find common ground on a lot of issues because I am left leaning, but there would also be a lot of disagreement. Especially when it comes to why and how we should do or change something.
They have shown to be extremely racists, violent, totalitarian, they don't give a shit about anything that they can't use to get more power. Are they protesting for the huge majority of black people killed by their own? No. Are they protesting for white people killed by police, or by black people? No. Are they protesting for true equality? Which would mean renouncing to "affirmative" action discriminating white and Asian, the freedom of saying whatever they want while being completely protected by every social medias, and medias in general. No, they don't.
The truth is BLM is not a movement for equality. It's a racist and supremacist movement that has one purpose: attacking white people on everything. They don't want equality. They want privileges, they want white people to give everything they have and pay for everything.
1. They have. It shown to be racist or violent 2. They actually are trying to fix black on black crime but that’s not a valid point because all races commit crimes 3. They are protesting police brutality for ALL races and the racially motivated deaths of black people 4. Affirmative action doesn’t discriminate against any races but even getting rid of affirmative action would not do or change anything in applying to colleges or getting a job 5. The media is only showing blm as a violent group even though there have been thousands of peaceful protests have taken and multiple changes have been done, the news is very quite about it. 6. The truth is blm is a group fighting for police brutality, systematic racism, the education and healthcare system and black on black crime.
Because BLACK LIVES MATTER does not equal ALL BLACK LIVES MATTER. For example, if you are a black police officer, a black conservative, or anything that contradicts the principles of BLM, then you are not part of it. I believe BLM are hypocrites on so many levels.
I support blm. It saddens me to see how trump has managed to misconstrue the purpose of the organization and has brainwashed people into believing that it is about something that it is not
Do I believe white lives matter? Yes, but I do not support it as a movement only because it’s very existence is in direct retaliation against the blm movement.
I’m sorry. I didn’t realize white people were enslaved in this country. No? Oh I forgot they had to deal with Jim Crow laws? Oh, they didn’t? Surely they too didn’t get the right to vote until the 1960s? Oh wow, they had it before? And I’m sure they didn’t have to deal with a racist law enforcement system perpetuating a belief that they were inferior and locking them up at disproportionate rates? Oh, no? They didn’t have to deal with that either? White lives have always freaking mattered and many of those white lives intentionally kept minorities from mattering and still do. So white lives matter is an unnecessary movement.
If “White lives have always freaking mattered” then how come more white people are killed by blacks than the other way around? And why are you using the past as an indicator of the present? We’ve largely moved past that as a nation.
Yes, it is a problem, but do you not believe that a police officer killing an unarmed black civilian who isn’t even resisting arrest is a problem? That’s what blm addresses. It is specifically addressing the way the cops treat blacks which historically has been unequal. What may appear to be things of the past are still perpetuated in today’s society. Our modern institutions were created by the racists who created Jim Crow. When Jim Crow ended, racism didn’t end. There were people pissed to think of blacks as having equal rights as them. So people had to disguise racism to keep it going, the criminal justice system being one of those places. Blm doesn’t attempt to solve all the problems of the world. It specifically highlights this particular issue and says to a country with many hidden racists that black lives do in fact matter
I agree with you that racism is still ongoing in certain places. But it is not a federal issue as BLM suggests. Democrat led cities deflect the blame on our country to excuse from their own failures of Governance. Also Police Brutality does affect every demographic. Make no mistake. My issue with BLM is that they don’t protest when unarmed white people are killed by police. Does the well being of my race suddenly not matter to these people? I understand they have no problem indoctrinating white people into supporting their agenda but I’m left defenseless.
Looking at the words coming from the president of the United States, (calling blm a terrorist group but neo-nazis fine people, defending the confederate flag and statues which honor a group of traitors who were angry because they wanted to own black people) this is a federal issue, and watching as the gop says nothing, that shows that this is probably a sickness within the Republican Party. I don’t believe democrat led cities are deflecting the blame. I believe they’re the only ones who are actually calling it out. Republican leaders aren’t even willing to do that much. And unarmed white people being killed may be an issue but it definitely isn’t to the same extent that it happens to unarmed blacks. Look at the way police officers who had Dylan roof in custody took a person who just killed 9 people to freaking Burger King because he was hungry. Meanwhile with George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Elijah McClain they never even killed anyone and they didn’t even survive their encounter with the cops. For too long being black has been synonymous with being a criminal or being guilty and blm was created to address that issue. White people do not have that same issue because people usually assume your innocence or when something wrong happens, people blame it on mental health issues. Typically white people serve lighter sentences even when they commit the same crime as blacks, or even worse. So the issue, again, is an issue within our institution as a whole. It unfairly favors one group at the disadvantage of another. I get the impulse to try and make this about you, but it isn’t about you. White people may have a problem but it historically has not impacted you the same way that this has impacted blacks. I’m very proud and grateful for of all the white people who have taken the time to educate themselves on this issue and fight for this cause. And if you feel defenseless, imagine how black people would feel if they hadn’t started blm
You can’t claim something isn’t true but then not explain what makes it false. I have credible sources to back up everything that I said. I apologize if this isn’t the information that your news sources have been spinning to you (I hope you don’t watch Fox because they literally aren’t news. They’re propaganda), but just because you may not have learned this before, it does not make me delusional. Please take some time to educate yourself on what the blm movement is about beyond what trump tells you or take some time to learn about how minorities are treated in America, especially by cops. I highly recommend the documentary 13th on Netflix. Anyway, you take care sweetie.
“You can’t claim something isn’t true but then not explain what makes it false.” But I just did. “I have credible sources to back up everything that I said.” Hmm haven’t see any. Saying things doesn’t make it true either.
It's not really a racial issue. A lot of white people are killed by the cops and you don't even hear about it. Making it to be white vs. black is stupid. BLM is an organisation ran by self proclaimed Marxists. A lot of their supporters are saying that we should abolish prisons. Many of them are hypocrites. They are marching on the streets, tens of thousands of people half of them without masks, when just over a month ago they were calling people who wanna go to a church terrorists.
Because Black Lives Matter is a Communist organisation that is carrying out the Communist imperative to destroy the police as a prerequisite to allow a Communist takeover to take place. If blacks in the US do not want to be killed by police, or be most of the prison population, they should try not committing crimes. Figures published by the US Justice Department tell the true story, which is the opposite of what the useful idiots of Black Lives Matter screech.
He literally just told you where to find factual evidence 🤦♂️. And I swear to god you Liberals hand the word “racist” out like it’s fuckin candy. It’s not racist if it’s the truth. He’s not blaming them for being killed. The majority of black deaths from police stem from a violent act where that officer had his life on the line or it was justified. You don’t even bother reading the post before you jump to calling the man racist. Shame on you...
@scarlett774 You said that US Justice Department figures were not 'factual evidence'. Are you really that stupid? Official statistics are as real as it gets. When a black person is killed while committing a crime, that black person is 100 per cent responsible for what happens to them. It was their choice to commit the crime.
From the Washington Times: "Today blacks are about 13 percent of the population and continue to be responsible for an inordinate amount of crime. Between 1976 and 2005 blacks committed more than half of all murders in the United States. The black arrest rate for most offenses — including robbery, aggravated assault and property crimes — is still typically two to three times their representation in the population. Blacks as a group are also overrepresented among persons arrested for so-called white-collar crimes such as counterfeiting, fraud and embezzlement. And blaming this decades-long, well-documented trend on racist cops, prosecutors, judges, sentencing guidelines and drug laws doesn’t cut it as a plausible explanation." www.washingtontimes.com/.../
You having nothing to prove that blm is a community organization and you also have nothing that proves that black people would stop getting killed by the police if they stopped committing crimes.
@scarlett774 Black Lives Matter is a Communist organisation. New York Post: "Black Lives Matter co-founder Patrisse Cullors said in a newly surfaced video from 2015 that she and her fellow organizers are “trained Marxists” – making clear their movement’s ideological foundation, according to a report." nypost.com/.../ The United Midwest: "Black Lives Matter was created as a part of the Chinese communist organization operating in the United States called Freedom Road Socialist Organization." www.theunitedwest.org/.../
So you're basically saying black people should stay in there lane based off of what the same way black people were slaves or when black people was tested on in the early 60s or when white people build this world yea it's true there's only 10% of us or 12% witch ever it is who commit crimes an that but who portrait us to make it seem that way I'm 18 now my guy I don't plan on going to jail, get a girl pregnant, raping someone, murder, Rob a gas station an etc if you're saying black people should stop committing crimes than tbh stop labeling us as we're something brand new that came out of a box an fucking hopped in some weird shit that white people build
@HappyAccident If you want to know why the US black community went to Hell in a handbasket during the 1960s and has been going down hill since, here is what the Democrats et al. do not want you to know. Before Lyndon Johnson's Great Society (the welfare state), black crime and social indicators were similar to those of the white population. Black entrepreneurs were increasing the number of jobs and general prosperity among blacks. If you look up photographs of black neighbourhoods during the 1950s and early 1960s will be shocked by difference, compared to what they look like today. One of the most notable differences is that the black-owned businesses are gone. The welfare rules of Johnson's Great Society led to an explosion of black single mothers, among other things. The result of the Great Society was the destruction of black families, increased delinquency (which led to increased crime) and the economic and social collapse of the black community. Success and enterprise were punished by the welfare rules, failure was rewarded and black women were rewarded if they kicked their men out of the home. All of this was self-evidently by design. In other words, that was the outcome that the Democrats wanted, because they wanted to create a dysfunctional welfare-dependant underclass that would vote Democrat forever. See: ammo.com/.../lbj-great-society-war-on-poverty-welfare-state-helped-ruin-black-communities
Because BLM is an inverted KKK... I wouldn't support either organization They are the same brand of left wing nutters as the UK labour party They are anti-capitalist so instantly that makes me against them They have a severe lack of intelligence given they've vandalised statues of abolishionists in their rampage
I don’t support any movement that destroys more than it creates. What have BLM contributed to society other than a few murals of a CRIMINAL, let’s not forget? All I hear about is destruction/looting, censorship and even more people being killed in the protests. Their goal is to “end racism”, which is just as likely to be achieved as eliminating murder 🤦🏻♂️
Because it's just All human rights matter. Which means i support all human rights and no matter what skin color you are, you have human rights to not be treated in such ways and that's what i support. I don't put an emphasis on "Black" Because the color don't matter what matters is just when someone human rights is broken. Then i would like to focus more on Hong Kong since there rights are been more broken than most people in America. Other places honestly have much bigger problems.
I support radical police reform and ending the war on drugs--and not just in regards to marijuana, but every drug known to man. I also support abolishing (privatizing) the police, eventually, but at the federal level first, followed by the local level.
However, I don't support left-wing economic policies like slave reparations or any other method of redistributing wealth. I also find the racial narrative unnecessary for accomplishing the stated goals, as well as unnecessarily divisive.
I don’t support them. All lives matter. I do not believe in systematic nor institutionalized racism in America. Everything points to the contrary of those things existing in wide spread amounts.
Blacks are not the only race who’ve been killed by police either legitimately or not. There is a long list of people of all races with fatal encounters with police. I resent the media and left wing turning a police reform issue into a race issue.
Do I believe black lives have the right to be as respected as any other lives? Yes! Do I believe that any lives that are not black need to be wiped off the Earth in a mass genocide? No! Why? Partly because I am not black, and partly because any life matters, how is it okay to murder anyone because of differences in skin pigmentation? That would be like dogs killing dogs because one has a spot and the other does not.
Shall we find lists of all the lives rioters, protestors, and other armed “BLM advocates” have taken? I can assure you that that amount far surpasses the amount of lives taken from police brutality in the past couple months. Check out my recent comment I wrote for more on my opinion of all this, because I don’t feel like writing it all out again. My point being, the negatives have far outweighed the positives of recent BLM riots and protests.
When the protest have started after Floyd’s death all the protest were absolutely peaceful, the police them made it violent to control the huge crowds they tear gassed and shot rubber bullets are people. A lot of young beautiful people and children have died from tear gas and rubber bullets. Obviously the people are not going to stand around being abuse and watch their children being abused. A cop actually started the fire of one of the building whilst he was undercover. The looters are selfish people who are trying to mooch off of the innocent protesters. There have been a few riots and then there have been thousands of Peaceful protest, the positives outweigh the negatives
The police had no choice but to take action as people were blocking the roads and preventing people from making their commutes. The protests may have been peaceful, but I can assure you that the people were given ample opportunity to leave the area before tear gas and rubber bullets had to be used. Children and unhealthy people should not have been protesting anyways. Everyone there was technically breaking the law as they were jaywalking in the streets. Please check out my recent comment on a Tabitha Morris post I made, because I went much more in depth there. I also like how you mentioned that “a cop” started a fire... Really? I had no clue that a single person could do something wrong! That must mean that all police are evil and we must defund all police!!
Ah, an anarchist, I see. I hope you realize that you aren’t going to enjoy your life very much in a country of anarchy, nor will anyone else. Since you clearly aren’t aware, ‘defund’ means to stop giving funds to. It’s in the name: de-fund. No funds= no police. No police = anarchy. Please don’t try to tell me what’s up before you thoroughly educate yourself.
Actually I’m not an anarchist and defund doesn’t mean take it all away, the police departments get 100 billion dollars for a very fucked up system. By defunding the police they would give some of that money to education systems, healthcare systems, more job opportunities
It amazes me that you think less funding would make for better law-enforcement system. Really seems like an un-related point to the whole BLM thing anyways. Anyways, I’m tired of wasting my time trying to educate you.
I never said that. I think that those few police who have killed when it was not necessary or his/her life were not in danger should serve time. But there are many police who have been arrested because they killed when their life was in danger. And I do pity those cops. Massive riots and street blockages aren’t going to solve those problems, though, are they?
No, mostly because black lives don't matter to BLM, or any lives, for that matter. They're openly a Marxist front and basically terrorists. They don't care who dies as long as they get the power that they're after.
The founders were Marxist but since then the movement has progressed and it’s filled with all new people, and founders of an organization doesn’t represent it as a whole, do you really think all those millions of people who protested are Marxist? No
True. Marxists have a long history of taking advantage of useful idiots. Most people on the Left genuinely want to help the less fortunate and make the world a better place. They are simply being deceived.
I’m not denying that the founders of blm are completely clean, but the millions of people who are protesting and donating money are not Marxist they are good people
And I'm not saying that they're not good people with good intentions. I'm saying that they're being deceived by those who are not good people and do not have good intentions.
I don't, 1 the creator of the movement is a Marxist that thinks violence is okay. 2 the movement is completely detrimental to the black community. Like their ideas aren't knew. They're just following in Malcolm X's foot steps. 3 George Floyd got more justice than anyone else. He died over a month ago too and they're still using his name as an excuse to behave poorly. It's not people fighting for their rights. It's a bunch of opportunists wanting to be destructive and get away with it
My sentiments exactly. The trouble makers don't give a shit either way, they are just there to cause trouble. If you could trace every bus ticket in the US of these protestors you would see they all converge from all over the US to the trouble spots which they live for.
I don't support them. Mainly because they are emotional and irrational. Defuding the police means the police will be less active. And also means that the police would use less force. They might even be afraid of shooting any black person because the whole thing might happen with them too. No police means chaos. And you've seen what chaos looks like.
So I agree with you, in that black lives matter. They are just as human as any other race, and we all deserve the absolute maximum of respect for our dignity and our humanity. So why do you support the movement then? Because I don't, and I don't see the connection between supporting the movement and actual black lives. Other than the name they chose
Because the central point of the movement is to address police discrimination and killings against black people. I agree with them that such things need meaningful change which has yet to actually happen.
I agree that all unjust killings need to stop. And that some cops are definitely discriminatory. Why do you think the movement doesn't seem to care about black lives being killed when it's not by a white cop?
I don’t think it’s that they don’t care, it’s that the groups message isn’t about that. It’s focused on one aspect of society. To me that’s like wondering why RAINN isn’t addressing addressing sodomy laws.
I think you're saying, but the slogan, black lives matter, seems to imply that they're focusing on black lives. And anyone who disagrees with them they accuse of not caring about black lives. And yet, in 2019, only nine unarmed black people were killed by cops. That's obviously nine too many, but it's not a serious problem facing black people. Heck, there were more black people killed in the riots in the past month than there were by cops in the past decade. That's insane! Killing a bunch of black people doesn't show that you want cops to stop killing black people.
I agree there are flaws, but it’s not just killings. As I said it also deals with the discrimination, which is very prevalent. I’ll be doing a poll on here soon that I’ll try and gauge a sample of prevalence.
And yes, but when your slogan is black lives matter, But if you only take a look when a black person is killed by a white cop, it doesn't seem that that black life matters to you. Only just the ones that get you political activism
But even then, far more cops treat black people well, even in tough situations, than the reverse. In addition, a cop is 18.5 times more likely to be shot by a black person than the other way around
Oh, I agree. Most people think they don't. After all, in a country of 320 million people, there will always be some bad ones. And the media only focuses on those stories because it gets them views. So most people get the idea that cops don't tend to treat black people well. But when you look at the actual numbers and not only stories (valid as they are), then it becomes clear the vast majority of cops aren't like that
Even if a majority aren’t like that, a sizable amount are, and they are rarely held to account. That’s usually due to a concept called “qualified immunity”, which protects them from most lawsuits or conviction. The fact that police, judges and communities aren’t all for removing those problem officers from power, just degrades trust in them as an institution. It looks like catholic priests protecting pedophiles.
How much is a sizable amount? And yes, some of them definitely get protected. But I don't think it's because of qualified immunity. That is a theory that I don't see holding water. But I do think police unions are the cause of a lot of that
We can’t know, as there is only peoples testimony on the matter. Police can’t exactly be trusted to bust their own friends for what they culturally tend to see as minor issues.
That seems a bit circular, no? Trying to prove the police mistreat blacks disproportionately, so you said we have to only listen to the testimonials of those who claim to have been mistreated. And that we can't trust the cops side, because they view it as a minor issue.

Again this isn’t factual evidence and you can’t Blame black people for getting killed by the police that’s racist
@scarlett774
You said that US Justice Department figures were not 'factual evidence'.
Are you really that stupid?
Official statistics are as real as it gets.
When a black person is killed while committing a crime, that black person is 100 per cent responsible for what happens to them. It was their choice to commit the crime.
From the Washington Times:
"Today blacks are about 13 percent of the population and continue to be responsible for an inordinate amount of crime. And blaming this decades-long, well-documented trend on racist cops, prosecutors, judges, sentencing guidelines and drug laws doesn’t cut it as a plausible explanation."
www.washingtontimes.com/.../
You having nothing to prove that blm is a community organization and you also have nothing that proves that black people would stop getting killed by the police if they stopped committing crimes.
@scarlett774
Black Lives Matter is a Communist organisation.
New York Post:
"Black Lives Matter co-founder Patrisse Cullors said in a newly surfaced video from 2015 that she and her fellow organizers are “trained Marxists” – making clear their movement’s ideological foundation, according to a report."
nypost.com/.../
The United Midwest:
"Black Lives Matter was created as a part of the Chinese communist organization operating in the United States called Freedom Road Socialist Organization."

I'm replying to you're first post that's all I already knew what the department an NYTimes said
@HappyAccident
If you want to know why the US black community went to Hell in a handbasket during the 1960s and has been going down hill since, here is what the Democrats et al. do not want you to know.

Because BLM is an inverted KKK... I wouldn't support either organization
They are the same brand of left wing nutters as the UK labour party
They are anti-capitalist so instantly that makes me against them
They have a severe lack of intelligence given they've vandalised statues of abolishionists in their rampage
I wouldn't join a movement but i’m always gonna want to see things get better for my people
I support radical police reform and ending the war on drugs--and not just in regards to marijuana, but every drug known to man.
Yes is agree we must defund the police. Acab
So you just want to have the police have no repercussions and have then continue on doing what their doing?
I never said that. I think that those few police who have killed when it was not necessary or his/her life were not in danger should serve time. But there are many police who have been arrested because they killed when their life was in danger. And I do pity those cops. Massive riots and street blockages aren’t going to solve those problems, though, are they?
Silence is not going to solve these problems
Well neither are riots and protests. Not without all of the clear negatives, that is.
No, mostly because black lives don't matter to BLM, or any lives, for that matter. They're openly a Marxist front and basically terrorists. They don't care who dies as long as they get the power that they're after.
👏👏👏👍
I do, because black lives do matter. They’re human being that deserve the same considerations and respect as any others.
Do you think it's possible to support black lives but not support the movement?
Yeah
Okay, that's a good idea.
And yes, but when your slogan is black lives matter, But if you only take a look when a black person is killed by a white cop, it doesn't seem that that black life matters to you. Only just the ones that get you political activism
I know what it seems like. But to me it’s a reference to the belief that to the cops, black people don’t matter.
But even then, far more cops treat black people well, even in tough situations, than the reverse.
In addition, a cop is 18.5 times more likely to be shot by a black person than the other way around
That’s not what many believe, and I’m inclined to agree with it from what I can ascertain. I could be wrong though.
What's not what many believe?
That cops tend to treat black people well, even in tough situations.
A bit maybe, but that’s the truth of the matter
It may very well be the truth. You definitely could be right.
But it can't be proven with a circular argument.
We will just have to see then
I suppose so.
Thanks for talking with me
