Dumbest question about Armenians (are they white or not)?

Okay, I'm an Armenian from Armenia. So my English sucks.
I can't help but notice that the most popular questions about Armenians here or on "Quora" concern either Genocide or race. And questions about race amuse me. Some say that we are white, some that we are "Middle Eastern" (it's not a race by the way), others say that we are mixed (whatever that means). The answer is actually very simple, we are, WAIT FOR IT... WHITE! Who would have thought!
In fact, all the indigenous people of the Middle East are white. However, no one in Armenia considers himself to be a Middle Eastern. Just like in America and Europe, Armenians have a stereotype that the people of the Middle East are Muslims: Persians, Arabs, Turks, and so on. They are very different from us, despite the fact that they are our neighbors (there are a lot of tourists from these countries in Armenia, for them we are just a Disneyland of freedom, a budget version of America).
By our culture and mentality, we are Eastern Europeans. In appearance, we are quite similar to the southern Europeans. Most are brunettes, but it is not so rare to find blondes and redheads, blue/green eyes are quite common (I would say 15-20% of the population), skin tone varies from very light to olive (like Italians). I am pale AF, and have blonde cousins ​​with blue eyes.
In short, this is one of the dumbest questions people ask about Armenians, and it's funny how some American Armenians are starting to ask the same question. Do you really think that all whites should look like Scandinavians? In that case, I have bad news, whites will die out within 100 years.

I have no idea. I thought Armenians looked middle eastern (usually tan skin although some are paler, on the hairier side, dark hair and dark eyes sometimes green, etc). But that's just the stereotype, the northern half of my country looks rather indigenous for the most part whilst in the center and south were mostly white with dark features and yet I'm bue eyed, blonde and pale. We're all mixed up 🤷🏼‍♀️

what makes you think armenians are very different? Most eastern Turks are either kurdish or armenian.

And yes in fact every modern Turkish person have a lot of Armenian blood in his veins. Yet we belong to different civilizations. We are different, culturally, mentally, religiously. The only reason why we have certain similarities in culture is that they simply appropriated our music, dances, cuisine and architecture (even their mosques and palaces were built by Armenian and Greek architects). Turks look white because they mixed with Armenians and Greeks, and to a lesser degree with Slavs. Historical Turks were not white.

On being european, its not about skin color. There are some Asians that have lighter skin than most europeans. Its a geographic thing i guess.

But if you are looking for a legal answer: middle easterns, europeans, north Africans and caucasus people (armenians, georgians etc) are considered white/caucasian in USA.

"Armenian Turk"? What is it? Is your father a Muslim? Do you speak Armenian? I very much doubt that a Turk would allow his daughter to marry an Armenian, especially a Christian.
I know that the Armenian community of Istanbul has more or less survived and that they have preserved the Christian religion. I also heard about the Islamized Armenians of Hamshen (near the border with Georgia), but although they speak their own dialect of Armenian, they do not consider themselves to be Armenians.
My ancestors from Kars, Ardahan and Sarikamish by the way My great-grandparents fled to Eastern Armenia when Turks massacred their families, they became orphans. As you can understand, I have no reason to sympathize Turks.

its impossible to find christian armenians here. Even if there are, they hide it because its already difficult to be armenian here let alone being a christian armenian. My dad is from Iğdır, he speaks armenian but i dont. Im proud to be part armenian though :)

I am absolutely sure that there are still Christian Armenians in Istanbul. We have patriarchy there.
And you are not partly Armenian, you are just - Armenian ❤️. Most likely, your mother also has Armenian ancestors. But even if only your great-great-grandmother were Armenian, you would still be 100% Armenian. We do not have the right to split our people into the categories "100% Armenian" "75% Armenian", "50%, 25% or 12.5% Armenian". This is my position

there are christian armenians in the east too but they are generally villagers. (they generally dont give jobs to christians here). but i've seen armenians visiting old armenian churches.

Armenians are White- Caucasians. They are probably some of the oldest groups of White- Caucasians , the word Caucasian comes from the Caucasus mountains area.

@Nonfrivolous nope. It is not a fact. Most Europeans (Germans, Anglo-Saxons, Slavs, Italians etc.) have Indo-European ancestry, while neither Georgians, nor Circassians are not Indo-European, unlike Armenians.

Technically, Caucasian people were one of the first Whites, but I think genetically, they're Semetic people, like Jews and Levantian Arabs
