Roommate is flirting with me without knowing about it!

Alright, this one is a little complicated. I live in a house with 3 girls and one other guy (I'm a guy). We've lived here for a year and a half together. One of my roommates has had a boyfriend since before we moved in together, but about 7 or 8 months ago I got the feeling that she liked me.

Over the summer, her boyfriend left for China for a few months, and I am almost sure that she liked me, but I didn't try anything because I didn't want to be a dickhead to her boyfriend. Then, her boyfriend got back and she didn't show it as much, until recently she has started flirting with me more often. She'll hit me playfully, squeeze my knee sometimes, and playfully tease me.

My question is, does she like me, and if she does, how can I get her to break up with her boyfriend for me without making it awkward to live together?

Have you gone mad? You will start a relationship out of someone's misery? It won't help you one bit in the long run. How will you trust her if you ever have to move away, or her? And if somehow you break up with her down the road, you will have to live with your ex girlfriend, which is not that fun I hear. Who will you date or go out with, without her knowing about it, or the other way around?

Playful flirting and being attracted to one another can be fun but be careful and think about the consequences before you decide to take it to the next level.

Go for the gusto. I say, if she wants to flirt, flirt back. Hit her playfully, and squeeze her knee too. If she doesn't want to get cornered, she shouldn't play around.

Well her and her boyfriend have been together a long time so maybe she is just getting bored with it. She is trying to make herself feel like she can get another guy to like her even though she has no intention of doing anything about it!!! This happened with my friend; she was tired and she and her boyfriend had been together a long time and she just felt like she could not get any other guy to like her and then she started flirting and found out that she could!

You should never come between two people. You should just let nature take its course. If she is into you, she will call it quits with her boyfriend. Sometimes when the boyfriend is out, she is getting lonely therefore drawing attention to you. But maybe not. Keep it cool. If she decides to be with you after she breaks up with her boyfriend I am pretty sure you guys can figure living arrangements. Don't break the ice, let her do it.
