Whenever I talk to people from outside the West, they almost always have a strong view about race and ethnicities.
The only ones who seem aggressively against 'racism' are the ones that either think like White Western people. Or the ones that abuse their victim status for social gain.
When I tell people outside of the West that I prefer to live and love my own people, they don't seem to bother.
While, if they are from the West (no matter which race) they lose their mind over the idea. Even though statistics show that we mostly stick to our own (even with all the constant push from advertisements and media).
What do you think is the reason for the more down to Earth viewpoint from non Westerners?

Because they’re trained in school that all whites are racist. No joke. I know somebody who who’s professor said on the first day of class that anyone who is a minority is a victim of racism and it was his job to teach them how they are victims if they disagreed. He went on to demean anyone who was a majority because he claimed it was impossible to be a majority and not be racist. hope that helps
They haven’t been taught for generations that their ancestors were evil and that they should abandon their identity. This is only a thing in the West, and only for white people. All other racial groups are ethnocentric in general.
I think you might more accurately say democratic countries are more tolerant than dictatorships (in their various forms- monarchies/ one party states/ rigged elections / whatever the fuck is happening in Russia and Turkey these days). To put it another way, some countries want open opportunities and balance, others have control through bullying and fear. If the people are happy with bullying and fear of monitories, they end up with the government they deserve. You can't make a government golden when the population are shits, (because the government is staffed by the people). Kinda that simple.
Western countries tend to have more of a blend of ethnicities, so it is harder to be racist and not bump into someone with at least a favorable view of the ethnicity you're racist against, and if you like to stay within your own ethnic group that's going to be seen as weird or unnecessary
It might be a fact to you, my group of people has different ethnicities in it. I've met people of different ethnicities to my own through other friends, friends/siblings SOs, school etc.

I'm not saying that self segregation doesn't happen, but it's not universal, especially in the West. Which is why you see Westerners being disturbed you want to purposefully self segregate
White Westerners live in a universe of fantasy ideals. Either they are the only supreme race or they must erase themselves into oblivion. Because their cultures are based on childhood stories (Hans Christian Andersen, Brothers Grimm, old English stories) so as adults they can only think like children.
Well that's my jaded view at least but also I think I'm Westernized myself so I don't agree with basing decisions on race. Even things that seems innocent like preferring your own race is still bringing attention to race which is a blight to the modern definition of civilized thought.
I don’t think there’s anything wrong with wanting to date within your own race... having a preference doesn’t automatically make u racist. But as a mixed girl I do see where people are coming from in the western world, however I definitely think that it’s over the top and exaggerated a lot of times. People use racism as an excuse for things that aren’t even relevant and that takes the focus away from REAL issues that actually has to do with racism. But that’s just my opinion I guess..
I understand. I have had quite a lot of conversations about this (and similar topics).
My understanding is that we accept other races right to protect their nation (as in people) from outside influence or harm. But we remove our own right in the West because we want to cater towards every non White group who has made their home here.
It's very quite damaging to our society if we willingly break our own spine.
I know it's not easy. But White people have made their own problems. You don't even need to say it's because of imperialism or blah blah blah.
It's the fact that we (as in our governments) felt guilty many centuries and decades later. And decided to sell out their population, in favour of a multitacial project of eternal racial struggles...

I mean the word is obviously negative and I feel like I would be alarmed if someone was being called a racist.. however like I mentioned earlier, people are using the racist card for the dumbest shit ever nowadays so I feel like I prefer to make my own judgement of people rather than following other people’s opinions if u know what I mean..

what did you read the washington post article? the end of it confirmed that the data brought by the two swedish economists was wrong + washington post is not a reliable source.
I think they probably just recognize that ethnic and religious background is a lot more important to your identity than western people want to believe.
Its all about balancing the roles in society. You gotta be extra sensitive to minorities in order to keep the system balanced. Same case for women and men. Western countries have made good job on that, soon they will have no sexist problems
