8K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. Necessary? Yes. You as a society have already proven that you can't be trusted to do the right thing unless forced to and in this case its not even being mandated by the government but by a private institution who has the right to decide for themselves if they want to prohibit certain things on their private property or deny service to them.
Other examples of this is for example mandated schooling, drivers license to operate cars, pension, military draft etc.. Relying on people to do the right thing either by moral choice or rational thinking is not going to work. When seat belts were invented and put inside every car Americans rebelled and cut them out out in response. Why? Because there is a saying, Americans will always take the correct option.. right after having extensively exhausted every other choice.
If Americans were not forced to "eat their vegetables" there would not be fire escapes in multi story buildings. Your water pipes would still be made out of poisonous lead (still is by the way). There would be cancerous causing asbestos in your walls and you would probably still be drinking radioactive water because of some commercials and shopping craze started in the early 20th century.
USA would be worse off than a 3rd world country. That is why the responsible part of your nation needs to drag the rest kicking and screaming towards a better future where we might live in a world without covid19 and without beauty products containing arsenic and mercury.
Also before you argue on this. Even if everyone is wrong and the vaccine dont work what do you have to lose? The pandemic is still here all the same and at worst the vaccine will give you some mild side effects like a sore arm for a day or two. Its practically harmless and has the potential to save *looks at the current dead in USA* 605 000 people and counting if they would have gotten it just a bit earlier.
I am not entirely sure what you see when you look at your own country but think about this. The same crowd of people that promised they would take up arms and fight any invader or tyrannical government to save their own country could not be asked to wear a small piece of fabric over their face for a few months. When asked to do the smallest effort to help they instead rebelled against the very idea of protecting the community and helping out. They are not the type of people that you should trust to have your best intentions at heart when you are relying on them to keep you safe.240 Reply- +1 y
Some valid points here.
- +1 y
There are no valid points here. Any mandatory health policies have to be based on a risk versus benefit approach. The benefits to risks of wearing seat-belts is not equivalent to mandating an experimental gene therapy. You can stick your fingers in your ears as much as you like, but it is still in clinical trials - will be so until 2023, the long term effects are not known, and coercing people to take an experimental medicine without informed consent is a violation of the Nuremberg and any ethical code. Medicines are evaluated on their safety and efficacy for at least 5-10 years for good reason.
There have been many deaths, injuries and disablements from these experimental gene therapies, including this poor young girl recently. odysee.com/.../Prress-Conference-For-12-Year-Old-In-Wheelchair-from-Vaccine-Hugo-Talks-Some-More--lockdown:3
To this date there has been a million adverse reactions and 1400 deaths reported in the UK, and the government widely acknowledges that this could be 10% or even less of all injuries..
Mask wearing has many known dangers too, you know, if you bother look at evidence that is contrary to your worldview. - +1 y
@Levin *facepalm* Before we go further into this conversation. Did you just call covid19 vaccine a "gene therapy"? Did you just claim that Americans had a rational response to seat belts and as such can be trusted not to flip their shit because they are forced to do what is in their best interest? Did you seriously just say that masks, which are heavily regulated and used on a daily basis by medical professionals and in other industries like construction, are "dangerous"?

There was a dead fly in one box of my face masks. A black stain in another.
Really, all the division and hatred this causes is bad for all of us. But honestly, citing journal articles (there was two fairly damning studies recently) is beneath my dignity at this stage. Anyone who thinks that face masks are good for your health is simply as thick as pig shit. It's basic common sense. That's all I have to say on the matter, respectfully. - +1 y
- +1 y
@Jamie05rhs Facemasks are an abomination and a serious potential health risk to all who wear them. All of the chief scientific officers during this alleged pandemic at the start said they don't work, or the jury is out as to their effectiveness, and they can cause more harm than good. Facemasks were mandated for political and psychological reasons.
- +1 y
@Jamie05rhs Since people started working on things that would kill them otherwise and/or their work. A cleanroom for example simply would not work if you kept exhausting dirty particles all over the place and I would never get my processor.
As such masks have certain standards and certifications that specifies their performance. You can read some examples here: smartairfilters.com/.../
Suffice to say that we take some of these standards and certifications VERY seriously since if we did not then it would cause mayhem in our society that expects a certain protection from the standard of masks they buy. If you fuck up a cleanroom the size of a factory because you bought a shipment of masks that were not up to spec then heads will roll. - +1 y

@Levin Also, PS. Its laughable how little you understand about the effectiveness of masks in regards to the pandemic and the medical advice given by medical officials. Let me clarify it for you step by step so that you can ignore it like you usually do but look even more stupid in the process.
1: Most masks can't filter out covid19 viruses. N95 masks arguably can but is in short supply and require training and regular fitment to work. Doctors perform these checks once per month to ensure that they are protected where as you probably dont even know what your mask size is or how to put it on/take it off not to mention you might have facial hair and other things that would prevent them from working. Point is masks are virtually worthless in your hands for protecting you directly.
2: Masks have been shown to work decently (far from perfect though) in preventing sick people from spreading covid19. As such the standard of mask is not actually that important, you are not filtering out the particles of covid19 as much as you are stopping yourself from "vomiting" them across the room. Anything that sends your breath to the sides instead of straight forward works for this and is the reason why we have a mask mandate right now.
3: Why did medical officials tell you not to buy N95 masks at the start of the pandemic? Because they, as the professionals they are who can properly use these masks and actually get the protection you simply can't, did not have enough of them in stock to do their job safely. So instead of having nutcases like you ruin perfectly fine medical masks in a misplaced belief that you are virus proof its better to let the hospitals have the masks and maybe they can help stop the pandemic from spreading to more people and save your sorry life indirectly.
The real question is why I know this and you dont when one of us is obsessed about this issue and its not me. - +1 y
@Jamie05rhs Well if you buy uncertified masks you will receive uncertified masks. Not much of a shocker there. Also there are plenty of masks being produced in the "western world" and its not like China isent making quality masks as well as long as you buy them from reputable dealers and including actual certifications like N95 or FFP1 through 3.
- +1 y
@Levin What is the point of having a micron filtering mask if all the stuff you are trying to filter is just going to go around the mask in the gaps against your face?
In fact since you are such a knobhead and I like to point fun at you lets just watch a video about mask fitting and see how much you are doing at home to follow these steps on a regular basis as is standard protocol for people who wears these masks!

Vacines are necessary for certain group of people etc. let's say for those who is
immunocompromised. I am not a doctor to debate on this but i have doctors in my family.
It was very clear- who is blessed enough to have good genes, will make it through, survive.
It is scary... but what is more scary... that there are more and more evidence that is coming...
that shows, proves that every case has to be tsken individually! and how harmful to just vacinate everyone! without proper examination of everyone's health.
But it is too expensive so govenrment decided to tske risk and let 'few' die... fir the greater 'good'!
.. once you have phizer vacine inside your system It kills your imunity system so u become dependent on...
According to studies the least harmful vacine was 'moderna'
But still every vscine has potential great danger.
.. My farther fell for this trap! he was insecure about his health , scared of dieing so He took 'phizer vacine'... and regreted later but it is too late... vacine is in his system... harm is done.
So how can someone tell that everyone must vacinate!
.. it is great evil to promote vacine without taking into considerstion the other facts are on a table.
It is must be criminalised to let just any pp share encouraging position ! tell what is to they opinion right or wrong especislly on this critically sensitive subject... without taking any responsibility for how our words impact other people's later decitions.
.. i can only say the shool she is at... taking very strong pasively agressive position based on they own attitude which is fed by fear! of loosing funding if not more... and it is difficult to tell what is behind this preasure.. , government?

It is against human rights to force young people into looing they own will! Freedom of choise.. just by having single argument "they don't know whst is right for them so we must choose for them, later they will thank us"
Many of them may do not know how to discern.. but political view 'divide and rule' is not the best available option... - +1 y
@Ceslovas I can not speak on all vaccines for obvious reasons but I can speak on mRNA vaccines such as Pfizer. mRNA vaccines dont really contain anything functional except a small instruction for the body to build spike proteins. Both the spike protein and the mRNA vaccine is harmless to your body and is quickly destroyed by your body while leaving no permanent trace left.
In other words, it literally can't destroy your immune system but putting that aside, because the covid19 virus also contain the same RNA for the same spike protein so if your argument is "Vaccine BAD" then the virus is bad for the EXACT SAME REASON plus the fact that it makes you sick on top of it all.
As such every study I have seen about the side-effects of the Pfizer vaccine only finds immune responses. Things like fevers, redness, pain, fatigue etc.. These are all your immune system responding to what it thinks is a disease and has nothing to do with what the vaccine was doing and its probably destroyed already if your body is reacting that violently. - +1 y
The best argument for why people should be forced to take the vaccine are people like you. Why? Because you have somehow obtained completely false information when the real information is readily available at your finger tips. You have proven yourself completely unable to make the decision for yourself even when given all the tools.
Combine that with the fact that we NEED to cooperate in this for it to actually matter. If a significant number of people dont cooperate for any reason then a number of things will happen.
First, the Pandemic will spread like normal. Both killing people and leaving those who survived with permanent damages to their body and health that will cost money in the future as we have to provide medicine and care for them not to mention the quality of their lives being ruined forever.
Secondly, this Pandemic will become permanent. It will come back again, and again and probably be bundled into the seasonal flu which in fact is a large number of diseases we were unable to stop and who ravage us regularly because of it.
Lastly, Even if most people vaccinate themselves it matters little because a small percentage of people who did not can still become sick and spread it around. This is DISASTROUS since it allows the vaccine time to mutate into new variants and because they come into regular contact with vaccinated people the new variants have a much higher chance of becoming immune to the vaccine.
unVaccinated people are a threat to everyone, including people who vaccinated. - +1 y

I shake my head in despair in @Jamie05rhs. Like the old phrase goes, if you can't dazzle them with brilliance, then just baffle them with bullshit.
This comment I was reading courtesy of another person beautifully echoes my feelings on the matter:
"Those who believe to own NOTHING will make them happy, the Compliants, the MASKTARDS, are who brought US ALL to this place.
Our humanity and natural instinct to live and let live whilst respecting their wish to mask up and vax up, if they want to, has proven to be misguided as it becomes clear their continued compliance now endangers us and our freedoms but, more importantly, it threatens our children and grandchildren along with their freedoms with our tolerance and understanding not having been reciprocated.
To live and let live was ever a one-way-street, as is being shown day after day, threat by threat, injustice upon injustice, infringement of liberty after infringement of liberty and discrimination upon discrimination.
If Masktards ever questioned whether they would have collaborated with Stalin or Hitler, in those tyrants’ genocides and democides... NOW THEY HAVE THEIR ANSWER.
We have OURS, too.
Anyone not with us is against us. It really is THAT simple.
All that is required, for evil to prevail, is good people to stand by and do nothing."
Just remember, in Soteris' own words, that we're the 'dirty little rats'. If that doesn't worry you that someone could so casually dehumanise their fellow brethren, someone supposedly so educated, without batting an eyelid or a flicker of conscience, then humanity is really heading towards some dark times in the coming months and years. - +1 y
by the way, in response to the rest of your hogwash, the UK government is currently running a propaganda campaign on the nation's radio stations literally stating the words, 'even if you're double jabbed, you can still get it'. The overall message still being to stick to the guidelines, rules, etc. Our health minister has been double jabbed but currently has covid.
I don't suppose it has to make sense though, as long as you can virtue signal and grunt out 'stay safe, get vaccine, wear mask, get health passport'.
Also, all of these allegedly clever people might have liked to have factored in to their grande plan that democracies are supposed to represent broad church of people, with differing opinions, who are endowed with their own innate autonomy and human rights. And guess what? We don't want it. We never will want it. Many of us would rather die than take it. How are you going to convince a person who believes they will die if they take the jab, to take it (irrespective of the veracity of that statement, I'm making a point about human behaviour, what are your tactics, besides from de facto coercion and threats)? Aren't you aware that people are, as I say, individuals, have a rich tapestry of human experience, and have seen their own selves and family suffer at the hands of the scientific reductionist Western medical system. So you can stick that jab right up your arse. The more you push us, the more we will push back and become ever more resistant. This isn't a threat. It's a basic representation of human psychology. All the people pushing and coercing and guilty of human rights and crimes against humanity violations. We don't want your fucking experimental medical treatment. Get the fuck over it, and fuck right off. - +1 y
@Levin Well the biggest problem you have is that you believe in everything being an isolated case and that your freedom does not extend outwards and influence he lives of others. The idea that if only you had the freedom to make your own decisions just as they had the freedom to make theirs then you both could live in your own perfect worlds.
Needless to say that this does not work in reality. Your actions have direct consequences for others and as such depending on the circumstances it can directly contradict other peoples freedoms and rights.
In your own overwhelming selfishness you prioritize your own freedoms and rights whenever there is a clash like this. In your mind it matters not if other people suffers or dies if only your freedom is maintained.
Secondly you are relying on a rational world. The idea of if people are given freedom then they will choose the best choice available to them. This is laughably naive. If people have the wrong information they are unable to make an educated decision. You are exhibit: A for this by the way. That is why we can not always rely on peoples inherent ability to make the correct choice in critical situations.
You are simply not equipped with the tools that you are expecting yourself to use. The information is at your finger tips but you are entirely unable to grasp it, you are not mature enough to make your own decisions. You are incapable, you need help to get it right and your choices are suspect because its not based in true facts. - +1 y
What a predictably horrible and smug little reply. Such cold intellectual arrogance betrays what a horrible petty excuse for a man you really are. What a wretched technocrat you are, to boot.
So really what you've said is you're quite happy to take peoples' rights away from them. Are you going to personally do it? Are you going to pin them down and forcibly inject them yourself, or are you going to go with the usual cowardly route of de facto mandates and getting other people to do your dirty work? Human nature again. Tyranny doesn't seem to bother people, so long as they are the ones in the majority.
I'm sorry, but you're overplaying my power here. I have little bearing on other peoples' health. And, as we go further and further into a corrupt, insane and failing system, the people themselves find the concept of taking responsibility for their own health, eating properly, regularly moving and well, not being a lard arse who rots in front of the tv all day, as the bare minimum, an alien concept. Nice work to demonise us by saying we don't care about other people though. Utter hogwash. You are the one who has amply demonstrated you don't respect other people's fundamental human rights time and time again. Dirty little rats, remember? Must feel good to see yourself as such a good and noble human being though, and all of your political opponents as selfish evil bastards.
- +1 y
This nothing to do with individual freedoms versus the collective safety false dichotomy. Just because your mind can't conceive of a world where it doesn't split everything into binary this or that, and can't see the richness of each person's outlook. This is opposed because it is literally stupid and insane. Makes no sense. And is based on shoddy techniques, data, people who invent tests, win nobel prizes, and then say in their own words they are being misused and should not be used for diagnostic purposes etc.
Anyway, I've said what I wanted to say. I'm sure we can each find something more productive to be doing. - +1 y
by the way, as an interesting little adjunct, your Orwellian 'single source of truth' outlook pretty much echoes what Jacinda Ardern was saying recently, without the least bit of irony.
This really is becoming ever more dangerous, absurd and desperate, as each day passes.

@Levin Ahahaha! Hilarious as always. I guess I should take your attempt at a jab at my "intellectual arrogance" but I am not sure you should point out just how garbled and sloppy your replies are by comparison. You keep relying on buzz words as if they mean something. "Hitler" this and "Orwellian" that and my personal favorite right now "technocrat". I guess the right wings war against science has progressed so far that "experts" and "intelligence" has become dirty words for you.
- +1 y
@Levin
But you got one thing wrong, what I am expressing towards you is not smugness. There is no accomplishment in deconstructing the flimsy arguments of children. Trying to use such weak arguments like "I can't defend my actions but my influence is so tiny that it should not matter!"
Do you not feel shame? That is literally what children say when they get caught for something and tries to push the blame on someone else that was there. If anything this just reinforces my argument that you need to be forced into compliance because you can't even judge cause and effect.
Likewise the conflict of unlimited freedom. I am not even talking about collective safety here but one persons freedoms and rights vs another. At what point does one give way for the next? The reason I say that you dont care if your freedom kills other people is because you dont recognize this conflict.
You argue that your freedom must not be infringed upon even if it means that your own freedoms infringes upon another persons freedom or even their life. You rather keep your freedom and let that person die than find a compromise. The weight of your personal freedom is greater than the lives of other people for you.
But there is actually another reason why I advocate mandatory vaccination in USA specifically. Why? Because a large part of the right wing is authoritarians. They need the guidance of a strong leader for them to actually do something. If they are not outright told to do something they will not even if it is in their best interest and they know it. Kind of pathetic coming from the crowd who claims to value freedom if you ask me but that is none of my business. - +1 y

Honestly I’ve been waiting on getting vaccinated but I’m going next week cause I’m going to Mexico next month and you can’t travel without it , not really fair though. I know some people have allergies or other reasons why they can’t get the vaccine, so should they not be able to go to school or travel? The way they are forcing it onto people is making everyone more skeptical on getting it I think. I do know a lot of people who have gotten it and they’re fine. They’ve actually been working on the vaccine for 10 years it’s not just some quick little concoction lol

I guess so, you’re still allowed to do online though right? I guess it’s cause they want the pandemic to blow over quick so we can go back to normal. I’ve already seen a lot of people not wearing masks anymore cause if the vaccine as well. My mom got it and I’m going to get it soon too

Frankly, I doubt the FDA will have the courage to refuse it at this point, no matter WHAT the testing says, but we've still got a a year and a half- minimum- before that even comes up.
If they try to force you, threaten to sue them. The law's on your side. Medicines should have at least 5-10 years of clinical studies, particularly stage 3. There is no way to know what these experimental technologies will do to you in 5 years time, if you're even still alive. It violates the Nuremberg code to coerce people to get a medicine that is still in clinical trials until 2023.
What are your choices in terms of what you can do at university? Can you transfer elsewhere?21 ReplyBring forced to take a vaccine is ridiculous. I'm not anti vax either but...
#1. Covid has a 99% survival rate and the vast majority who've had it... didn't even know because they had no symptoms
#2. The vaccine does nothing to prevent you getting covid. It makes the symptoms less
#3. There have been some major side effects such as blood clots, heart inflammation, etc
#4. (And I really think this is the most important part). It's your choice on if you want it or not. North America is supposed to be a free place where people can make their own choices. Having freedoms taken away unless you take something forced on you... that's not okay.
#5. Anyone telling you that you have to get it to protect others. If those others are so afraid of non vaccinated people. Then those people shouldn't be out in public. That's their choice.10 Reply5.8K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. Vaccine mandates are entirely about pumping money into pharma at this point. The most obvious proof of this is how even people who have COVID-19 antibodies with proof are still being forced by schools and workplaces to get the vaccine anyway. This is also all in spite of the CDC (very quietly) admitting that teens shouldn't be getting the vaccine regardless due to the comparative health risks.
