Well, we already know from the illegal migrant wave that Angela Merkel invited in back in 2015 that there are lots and lots of people from there who are not genuine refugees.
At any rate, other than the translators that directly worked with the US military, those Afghans who claim they are refugees would be best settled in Iran and other neighboring countries so they can be repatriated when conditions and while they are waiting they are in a neighboring country which is culturally similar and they'll have an easier time.
A good point I didn't even think of. The question is would Iran or any other country take them? And how would they get there alive?
1. It doesn't matter. If they want to leave Afghanistan they should be allowed to leave. This is why the Taliban is bad news.
2. No Afghans should be allowed to come to the United States without applying for citizenship. I don't care what they did for us during the war. They weren't doing it for us. They were doing it for themselves and hopefully a future Afghanistan. If not? Well they learned a lesson didn't they. Maybe next time fight for the right reasons.

You see your question is coming from an othered perspective that discounts the humanity of the group you are speaking about. The humanity of not every person being the same.
Did it ever occur to you that each individual may have a different reason?
Also, what is actually wrong with someone wanting to immigrate to the US or the UK? Is it that there are not from a desirable group that makes it so wrong? What would you do if you were in their shoes?
Now, I will say that given the chaos, absolutely there will be some bad apples slipping through.
I've already imagined the screenplay where someone murders his friend and his wife assumes his identity and takes the dead friend's infant child with him to the West.
Becomes an upstanding citizen and raises the child as his own. Then on his deathbed he confesses the truth to his "daughter" who then 25 years later goes back to Afghanistan to right wrongs and meet her real family.
I think I missed my calling...📽
I don't think anyone would deny their immigration if they do it legally, unlike on our Southern Border. Also they have to be checked for Covid and get vaccinated,, unlike those on the Southern Border. So should the US take in anyone who won't stand and fight for their freedom like our forefathers did to win us freedom from England? With 9.5 million unemployed of our own do we really need to add more to the mix?
None of them are going to start a business up without government loans and handouts, just like they did with the Vietnamese. And now they own all the businesses and white people can't compete with them. Hell, I couldn't get a small business loan if I didn't have jack shit to start with, nor could any homeless. So that being said, whose money is going to finance them? The taxpayers of course. So money will be going from my pocket to theirs only I don't have anything to show for my money. Sorry, but I'm not okay with that. I pay enough taxes through the nose as it is.
Moust of the people who want to live are civilians who don't give a F about the Talibans lows and they know they will sufer very much if they stay.
I feel theyr pain, same did the USA afther WW2 whit my country, the abandon us to the communist and we suffer way much more then they ever can imaginate.
Same is happening whit people from afganistan, but at last ther are the eliberation army not the opresion army.
It's olso a risk to be in the crowd many bad people whit other intentions the just running from the Taliban regim.
I think is a very good idea to accept as many people posible and keep afther our eye very close on them when we bring them in Europ. Keep them izolate for a time, give them something to workd, inspect them and theyr program and activitis and if they seem to be clean and good people then lets integrate them even more.
I have a friend from Pakistan and when i ask him why all the countrys from Midle East are so crazy religios, he just tell me "i don't know, i never care about religion, i don't want to know nothing about thous countrys, now i'm here and that is the only thinkg that mather."
Sounds like many Americans can learn something from your friend. Too many racists and fear-mongrels in this country. And this is coming from an American.
The median age in Afghanistan is 20 or less. That means half the country wasn't even alive when the Taliban had control over the country before. Interpret that as you'd like.
The Taliban now is not really any ideologically different than it was 20 years ago, either. There's been a pretty ill-conceived attempt to paint them in a better picture in order to downplay the situation, but the reality is they are in fact going door to door kidnapping children and executing dissidents. It's probably true that they want "stability," except that's hand-in-hand with wanting subjugation. They're also openly backed by Pakistan and China now too, so between that and all the US and Russian hardware left behind, they will be much better supplied than before and as long as they don't step on China's toes, nobody will stop them.
Sheesh bucko, you need to quit flattering yourself, and thinking the world is only out to get you and yours!
You've been supporting the tomfoolery of the American empire for decades, but did you really think there would be no karma or kickback eventually?
Most of America's chickens are coming home to roost, from supporting dictators to cartels and gangs. The Afghans are probably the final straw as they broke up the Soviet Union and will probably break up the American empire as well.
By propping up the warlords and puppet government in Afghanistan the US overcommitted and it cost you over 1 trillion dollars. Now you've got all that kickback as all those traitors and informants aka "interpreters" (sic) will be expecting compensation and protection. Else they will be exposing exactly what the US got up to.
The real criminals were the US, not the Taliban in the affair.
It isn't the US taking reprisals and killing our countrymen.
if you live in a piss poor country with no perspective and no social security, of course another country looks better... why do you think those afganis don't flee to africa? yeah... that's right. now on the flipside, we went their and messed with their government. that is our fault. so we are guilty that they are messed up now. maybe they would have been as messed up if we had not been there. but we'll never know, cause we decided to go there, deconstruct their government, take their resources and build a half assed, instable government that won't hold for shit. so now we gotta help those people that wanna get out.
@Coulis i didn't say africa was a country. that's what you read into it. not what i said.
And those countries are either scammers or pirates, like Nigeria.
well pretty much all the countries in afrika are piss poor. most of them are even on the "worlds least developed country index".
Misa daniels not the whole world wants to leave their countries to live in the USA, take me for example, my country can't be shittier than now and we are living in hell these days because our corrupted politicians but still i'd like to stay in my country cause i love it...
Before 2 years i was living like a king but after 2019 things have started going down and the country started suffering from an economy breakdown and now i'm considered very poor compared to what i was from 2 years, will i leave my country? NOPE i don't think so even though it would be a lot better than here but i find my indentity in my country...
I'd love to visit the U. S but not to reside there...
Don't feel bad as half the politicians in the US are probably on the take. They sure aren't looking after our best interests.
That's the problem in most of the nations, you vote for someone whom you think that he will work for the best interest of his country and citizens than it turns out the opposite way, they are working for their OWN interests and personal services!
I had the same question. How many terrorists are playing scared just to get in the country? America has already paid for the weapons that the taliban have control of so technically we armed our biggest enemy and I have no doubt we are bringing some in with the fleeing afghans.
I expect a lot of them to be like the people leaving Commie California in mass exodus. They're leaving because shitty leaders are putting their lives at risk and they recognize the danger, and want a better life, BUT the moment they get somewhere safe, they will go back to supporting the bad shit that made them fear for their lives in the first place.
Long story short, yes a lot of the people wanting out of Afghanistan will revert to supporting the harmful and dangerous Afghani way of life once they're out and safe. Guess it's kind of like battered woman syndrome. They escape from an abusive relationship, but have a high tendency to go right back to one.
I am laughing at these Islamic Afghanistani people..
They praise Islam religion..
But when Islamic group take control of their nation and the country becomes truly Islamic.. 😂🤣 They start fleeing the nation..
If you cannot handle true form of your religion.. Then why do you support..
I don't know what the word legitimate means in this case. But it is obvious that most want to leave over fear of being killed. But if you are talking about Afghans who believe in democracy, etc. I just don't see that.
I mean some are in no danger from Taliban reprisals and just want to get out and go to the US. In other words not a legitimate reason for asylum. If it is legitimate we may as well make Afghanistan a state. We can't take in the whole world. If Afghanistan today it will be those in 5 other countries who will want in too.
Well, I don't believe that. We know the Taliban are absolutely brutal. I am not sure why anyone disputes that. I don't blame Afghans for wanting to leave. I just know they can't come here. The thing is while they are legit fear for their lives, most don't believe in any kind of democratic ideal. That's the problem in my view. Right now, Glenn Beck is trying raise money to bring Afghans who are Christian over. Just like that makes a difference.
Weirdness to the extreme.

Well hopefully they will also support these people and find them jobs and places to live. Right now we have illegal immigrants, homeless people and homeless Vets to deal with. I guess serving your country for 20 years doesn't deserve better treatment. We have people that are going to be evicted and those who have not been paid rent that are going to lose their homes. We have over 9 million unemployed, not including all the unemployed immigrants coming in. All these costs fall on the Taxpayers and they are just about all played out. Where is the Government getting all the money to pay for all this stuff, out of their ass? Sooner or later the National Debt has got to be reigned in because right now it is looking like it will never be paid off.
Hopefully?
I am sure there is no plan for those folks when they come over. And what's worse is they assume that just because they are Christian that their values, morals, ethics, and goals will be the same.
I am not even sure how to explain how crazy that is. Besides the fact that as Christians we would try to save all Afghans. The point is, it just is not possible.
I am not sure why the discussion turns to the debt. No one cares about it.
But back to the Afghans who want to leave, we only staved off something that would have happened decades ago.
Well we should worry about debt just like every one in the US has to worry about theirs. It is all about sustainability. How many people needing help can we sustain without raising taxes to an exorbitant rate or without a recession/depression?
Well, you can keep worrying about it.
Good luck.
Most see the writing on the wall and want out before the shitstorm. Much like everyone else I think the people of Afghanistan fear the Taliban and are just victims of their government's roll over.
They may not have foreign vigor, hell they probably love their country, but they know they can't stand another regime.
There are a few afgani students in my university and according to them majority of people don't wanna live there now. Their lives were getting better and stuff and they don't want to go back to a shitty system.
no they can't be. some must be dangerous terrorists who don't share western values
You never know.
They want to flood America with their caveman religion and turn America into a shit hole, but I have news for them, the wetbacks beat them to it…
There is truth in that.
Id be willing to bet some aren't. But then again, they can walk across our southern border.
Sorry but no of course they aren't everyone knew what was coming so why wait until now? People who were directly at threat from the Taliban have been leaving for years
Yeah they are if they let them in over here, I wonder how many could be taliban
Man, why do you think everyone wants to come to the US?
I expect Taliban is grossly overrated.
Bill Clinton and Tony Blair are small headed fools. Blair especially (Clinton's an alcoholic)
What did I miss? What does Clinton have to do with any of this?
Who started the shit? War in the gulf?
Maybe it was Bush senior
This is why your people needed to be taken out before troops withdrew.
You so right open borders who coming in everybody. He a joke he should of not ever been put on a ballot. The Democratic stole the election
Lol Taliban is Soros team...
And Soros is the puppet master. USA is slave country. Everyone looting this stupid country 😂
Afghanistan will not make a lot of refugees in my opinion. But about the ones Usa should be responsible of them.
Probably not. Why should they be any different from elsewhere?
Nope, not even close.
A lot, probably most. You know who's legitimate if they accept saudi arabia or turkey instead of Europe and the US.
our Gov't won't check them out. I am sure what ever happens from rape, or blown up , They will just blame Trump.
More votes for the Democrats maybe, which is the reason the schools and media are there for under divide n conquer. What a great economy to bring them to huh?
Kenya is big and we have a lot of land and minimal population.
Tell them to come kenya we'll assist them.
Their life matter
How can you speak for Kenyans if you live in the us?
Actually immigrants are the least likely to commit crime.
Depends on how you look at it. Legal immigrants yes, because most legal immigrants come from money. Illegal immigrants on the other hand have a disproportionate crime rate
@ChubbyKing actually no. Says the horribly liberal Cato Institute:
“The illegal immigrant criminal conviction rate was 45 percent below that of native‐born Americans”
www.cato.org/.../new-research-illegal-immigration-crime-0
No some were born out of wedlock
Not but most of them.
Nay its western media bias thats legitimate
its that our history is our greatest enmey
