Officially, in 1997, the Federal Government's Office of Management and Budget (OMB) issued a directive on race and ethnicity reporting that I believe all other parts of the Federal Government adhere to. This directive is "OMB Statistical Policy Directive No. 15"
Office of Management and Budget (OMB) Standards The Revisions to the Standards for the Classification of Federal Data on Race and Ethnicity (OMB Statistical Policy Directive No. 15) define minimum standards for collecting and presenting data on race and ethnicity for all Federal reporting.
The race and ethnic categories are presented as separate questions, and individuals can select multiple racial categories. I love this question I love that picture you have because from Winter to the middle of summer each one of those shades is my arm my body from winter to summer time so in all reality we are all each individual different so I guess we should all be our own race did you know there's over nine hundred different shades of white there's over 100 different shades of black so if we are being judged on our skin color then I think we should all be our own race because none of us have the exact same shade or color as somebody else we are all each individual unique in our own way

Unifying on racial phenotype seems like a very dumb idea to me. It would make a Jamaican unified in some sense to a Nigerian. Diversity isn't erased among Hispanics as I see it. It's the opposite. They have too much diversity as with Asians. Chinese and Japanese don't see themselves as the same because they have too many cultural differences.

Real diversity comes from an individual. It doesn't come from collectives. Every person is an island unto themselves: a minority of one. There is tremendous diversity if we look at one person at a time beyond their skin color, ethnicity, etc. That is the real promising future. It's not in looking at trends like a person's skin color or ethnicity or broad interests.
I'd never really considered latinos to be Mulatto. Just a core genetic base of Native and Indigenous peoples who some mixed with European colonists and African Slaves. Lots of the Latin world look heaving mixed with Europeans while others looked heavily mixed with Africans.
I’m Dominican and this white guy I used to know came to my house and a few days later asked me my mother looks Hispanic. (She way lighter than me) then proceeded to ask “ is that my real mother” OMG!!! I cut em off as a buddy because I strongly dislike people like that. It’s usually white people who have that mindset. But that goes for all "races". "Hispanic" doesn't really tell you anything about a person's phenotype, so it makes even less sense to consider it a race. But then again, "race" is a completely inconsistent concept anyway. What is considered "black" in America is a mix of all sorts of entirely different ethnic backgrounds.
