If any parent allows their #transgender kid to take puberty/hormone blockers, should they lose custody of their kid?

we don’t know what the long term side effects are but I’m guessing it won’t be good in the long term. There is so much more surgery you can do rather than take hormone blockers.

I don’t agree with giving kids meds to prevent their natural growth. I do fear the long term effects and would discourage my children from making those choices.
I also do not agree with strangers stepping in and forcing choices on families when they have no idea of the details of their specific situations. The process is more than just going to a doctor and getting a prescription. It’s much more involved than that.
I believe those personally involved should be the ones making the decisions for themselves.

Depends on how old the kid is, but I'm one who firmly thinks in the sense you make your own choices and what happens happens, best i can do as a parent is tell them every reason for and ageist. But in the end it's there choice.

That's how I would parent. So no i don't agree i should lose custody for letting my kid have freedom of his own will after been informed to the best of knowledge about it from me.
I give advice and explain things but I don't rule by an iron fist.
