Second, for those bitching about the jury being mostly white, when a jury is selected it is a JURY OF YOUR PEERS, meaning people similar to you. Race is not an important factor to the criminal justice system. What does matter are the circumstances in the situation, how well the attorneys do their job, the evidence presented and whether or not the defendant chooses to go to trial or take a plea.

5. Throughout the entire incident Rittenhouse was trying to get away. He tried to turn himself in to a cop (who blew him off). He called someone on cell phone to notify them what happened. Does that fit the description of an “active shooter”.

Self defense is a very difficult argument to place for that very reason. In the case of Aubrey it is public knowledge the case was almost swept under the rug.

Do you care if they disobey police in pursuit of justice? If they are there while a riot breaks out and get arrested is your very first assumption "This person is innocent until proven guilty"? The Rittenhouse incident is not even remotely close to the Trayvon Martin case. With Rittenhouse there was solid video evidence, witnesses and even FBI aerial footage. Even the 3rd guy who got shot Guage or whatever is name is admitted on the witness stand he (again) pointed his gun at Rittenhouse WHILE he was getting cross examined by the prosecution.

Rittenhouse was a slam dunk case for the defense. But let me ask you this? If Rittenhouse was found guilty would you see conservatives rioting and going ballistic about it? What I will say is this:
BECAUSE he was/is white he certainly got a bigger benefit of the doubt most other races of men wouldn't have, and it's very likely that had he been a black teenager he'd be in jail right now. After all this is America where the Aubrey case was heavily debated AND Aubrey was running away for his life.
With that said I don't think that him being white is what saved him. I think the level of public interest, the judge (with an admittedly clear bias), and the absolute garbage prosecution is what saved him. Let's just hope Rittenhouse doesn't go the Zimmerman route and try to ruin his life by filing frivolous lawsuits against everyone who will hear them.
