Why, pray tell, does Canada have the French language in it?

Anonymous
I'm a proud Welshman (South Wales valleys) now living in Canada; I fled that wretched principality on account of the costly and insignificant Welsh language (which I never spoke ever) and also the communist Welsh Assembly.

Anyhow, I'm now living peacefully in Toronto. Previously I've lived in Montreal. Like in Wales, I regrettably had to deal with language zealots and "bilingual" people while in Quebec. I even filed complaints on the French language, but to no avail (What, I fled the godawful principality of Wales to come HERE?). So I moved to Toronto, and you can call me a hypocrite for living in a city with many Asians (in the UK, we call those from the Indian subcontinent "Asians"), Afro-Caribbeans and those of the Far East, as well as various languages. The point is I didn't want to live in Quebec (not even in Montreal) and have the French language stuffed down my throat, like the Welsh gibberish in Wales. In Toronto, you are who/what you are. No language or culture is superior, and you are immediately a Canadian upon your arrival.

I love Canada (English Canada aka REAL Canada by the way).

As a proud born-and-bred Welshman in exile, I'm entitled to my opinion. šŸ˜ŠšŸ‘
