Considering 2 years after his death isis almost took over Iraq yeah. Saddam never directly posed a threat outside of the middle east and obviously kept all the various factions from fighting or using Iraq as a base for terrorist activities.
When Paul Bremer disbanded the Iraqi military and law enforcement... that's the biggest step in allowing terrorist groups to spring up... because of the power vacuum that suddenly existed.
They put him in power to fuck up Iran. He did everything else but that, so they cut him off. We're told all those dumb lies. It was an effort to control the silk road.
What happens in the middle east seems so bullshit cause we're not told the truth.
