So I don't view it as a personal attack, but the main issue for me is that it hinders my vision. It makes it dangerous for other drivers in certain conditions.
Because you can see, but they can't. You are blinding the people going the way and the guy in front of you who's rear view mirror is shining that directly in his eyes.
Even the low beams on the newer cars are hard on my eyes to see when they are coming towards me. Let alone ones with their high beams on! Don’t drive at night if you can’t see!
This is very true, and it's worse now than ever because of a) all the different types of lights (halogen, xenon, LED) and b) the height of some suv's and trucks. If you drive a lower height sedan, all these higher sitting cars are shining right in your face. It's awful.
Are you stupid. Can't see if drive in high beams switch to low beams for on coming traffic. How did you get a license that basic rule of driving and big one
No one will sing that since blinding lights put u in a life or death situation, ofc they gonna be pissed. I do have solution tho, just put a sign on your car "Person with night blindness" or smth so people will carefully drive around u like whats done when someone has a learner's license.
@Gwenhwyfar It is a big deal. If the other driver can't see because of her lights blasting them in the face, they could run into her and have a head-on collision.
@Jamie05rhs to be fair, the ONE thing you’re NOT going to hit when some asshole is driving with their high beams on IS the asshole with their high beams on! It’s the only thing you can see! But if there’s a bend, or a curve, they are going right off the road, because you really cannot see a thing, even after they pass! I can’t believe she is getting all night and mighty about this when you told her that others are blind. She cane back with “Yes for two seconds, so I don’t get into an accident instead, Big deal!!” That comment right there “so I don’t” was all I needed to know she’s a fucking narcissist! Literally could not give one single fuck about the lives or safety of anyone but herself! Not the drivers, their family, or their children… NOBODY! Unbelievable!
@Jamie05rhs Wait! What? How could you disagree? We are saying the SAME thing! “All you can see is the light”, well given that every driver knows the “light” is an oncoming car… you are going to do whatever you can to not hit it. As you just wrote, “You can't see the lines on the road, nor the boundaries of their vehicle” and I totally agree. So you might go off the road if there’s a curve, you might hit a tree, you might hit a deer, or hell, here in Florida, you might hit an alligator! But the one thing you are not going to hit is the car with the high beams on. Even if you can’t see the “boundaries of the car” every experienced driver knows the approximate size of a car, so even if you can’t SEE the “boundaries” you know approximately where they are. You know that 5ft to the right of the closest light to you is not going to be part of the car. Just like 2ft to the left of the closest light will be guaranteed to be 💯% CAR! (Obviously if you are suicidal, and you really want to take a total douche with you to the AfterLife… then yeah, under that circumstance you might hit the asshole with their high beams on, and that’s all but guaranteed if you aim for the light) other than that, I stand by my original statement that the only thing you are NOT going to hit is the asshole w/ her high beams on. **Disclaimer** “no two circumstances will ever be the same, and while the average driver is unlikely to collide with the oncoming asshole w/ their high beams on… certainly an inexperienced driver, or one prone to panic attacks could be so affected by the blindness associated with driving towards high beams, and in their panic, accidentally hit the oncoming asshole.
"Every experienced driver" knows you don't just turn the wheel hard to the right and run off the road to avoid hitting something. You try your best to stay on the road!
@Jamie05rhs That sounds amazingly like an answer that a troll would give! Especially given that I specifically said “IF THERE IS A CURVE”. Your answer reads like a how-to on pedantry. As for pedantic answer #2 that “round or rectangular thing” you get at the auto parts store is a called a bulb. The light is a stream of photons generated by exited electrons and NONE of this has anything to do with the question on driving w/high beams on. Sadly this is how you treat someone who actually agrees with you? Jamie you used to be interesting and fun, someone whom I would look forward to engaging with… what happened!
Also, OMG. I thought you a car person!! 😂😂. The bulb is the thing that goes INSIDE the light!! (Meaning inside the headlamp.) SMH. Now I'm starting to wonder if YOU'RE trolling ME! 🤣💀
@CrazyGirl2. I'm still the same person. I swear to you. 😄😭. I have ZERO beef with you, sis. As a matter of fact, I just liked your question about your mom's hospital and the staff getting fired. I thought it was very well written! 👍
@Jamie05rhs Okay, thanks Jamie. Look these sites are designed to breed conflict, since the majority of human communication is non-verbal cues, and they are completely absent when communicating with the written word. Also, with the actual verbal aspect of verbal communication, most of that is in the tonality of your voice, (ie. it’s not what you say, it’s how you say it!) but again that is non existent here. So misunderstandings are bound to happen. I guess we just chalk this one up to a misunderstanding, eh? Oh, and never question my bona fides as a “car girl”, or you might just wake up with your oil soaked steering wheel under the covers, next to you. LOL 🤣
@CrazyGirl2 You are absolutely right. See, you couldn't see my grin and the twinkle in my eyes when I was arguing with you. ☺️ And yeah; tone of voice, too!

You're literally blinding other people with high beams. You can cause an accident. I think it would be better you stop driving
So I don't view it as a personal attack, but the main issue for me is that it hinders my vision. It makes it dangerous for other drivers in certain conditions.
At the very least turn them off when other cars are coming your way because they can't fuckin' see when your high beams are shining in their eyes.
Because you can see, but they can't. You are blinding the people going the way and the guy in front of you who's rear view mirror is shining that directly in his eyes.
because high beams tend to blind the person in the oncoming car.
People love feeling like they have the moral high ground.
Because it is illegal and dangerous to overtake or ride close behind cars with them on. If you are that blind you shouldn't be driving.
Because you’re the cause of MY night blindness lol. Did you know that you’re actually not the only person on the planet? Crazy right?
Even the low beams on the newer cars are hard on my eyes to see when they are coming towards me. Let alone ones with their high beams on!
Don’t drive at night if you can’t see!

@loveslongnails so true!
I suggest finding out if you have a vitamin A deficiency.
because... you are "Blinding" the drivers coming towards you... if you have Night Blindness, stay off of the road... blinding eveyone else is not SAFE
Are you stupid. Can't see if drive in high beams switch to low beams for on coming traffic. How did you get a license that basic rule of driving and big one
They can blind people who are also driving on the road at night.
Ooooooooooh i am blinded by yo lights
girl i can't see it until i feel it crash
No one will sing that since blinding lights put u in a life or death situation, ofc they gonna be pissed. I do have solution tho, just put a sign on your car "Person with night blindness" or smth so people will carefully drive around u like whats done when someone has a learner's license.
You may want to check the laws in your state. I understand in some place failure to turn off high beams to oncoming traffic can get you a ticket.
Because it usually is that way. Of course their are people like yourself who simply have awful vision, but their are people who do it to be assholes
Because you’re blinding them
Yes for two seconds so I don’t get into an accident instead. Big deal
I agree with you. But that’s why they’re pissed. They have no way of knowing you have night blindness.
@Gwenhwyfar It is a big deal. If the other driver can't see because of her lights blasting them in the face, they could run into her and have a head-on collision.
@kyleelyn199723 I'm not trying to be mean to you. Just explaining the danger and why this is a serious issue.

@CrazyGirl2 That's not true at all. All you can see is the light. You can't see the lines on the road, nor the boundaries of their vehicle.
@CrazyGirl2 I was just responding to your first sentence.
@Jamie05rhs Wait! What? How could you disagree? @CrazyGirl2 I'm saying you can see the LIGHT -- NOT the CAR!! 😂🤦🤦🤦
Do you think Moses actually saw God? No. He just saw the LIGHT from God.
"Every experienced driver" knows you don't just turn the wheel hard to the right and run off the road to avoid hitting something. You try your best to stay on the road!
Okay, let me clarify 😅:
You can't see the rectangular (or rounded) glass object known as a "Light" at the auto parts store.
What you CAN see is the natural physical phenomenon known as "LIGHT" within the scientific community!!
😂😂😂

Lololol
Because you are now blinding them thus making it personal
It's hard to see into another person's high beams. You can't see that well with them coming at you.
I guess you have never been blinded by someone else doing it to you. I really mean blinded by the light.
