@exitseven I understand that. Increasing the standard deduction was all he really did. I don’t know what loopholes you’re talking about. Increasing the standard deduction was not really a rewriting of the tax code. It simply appeased a subsection of the population. My taxes still went up and became more complicated. So despite what different media outlets say, he did not do me any favors enacting his policies.

Personally I know Biden’s not helping the tax code for me, but it’s not because of “democratic” programs. To be honest the government spends most of its budget on Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, and the defense budget. All of those things are programs that republicans would never cut. So what programs are you talking about?

No Trump supporter is unaware of the differences between themselves and Trump. Nor are they blind to his faults. They would all prefer it if he had more couth and tact. But that's ultimately far less important than why they DO support him.
Trump believes in the rule of law, and he is America-first. Most other politicians are completely corrupt, most by China and all of the money they throw around, but there are other sources too (Ukraine being an obvious example - the Biden family has huge interests in Ukraine and they have been selling out the US in order to increase their power and profits there). And let's be clear - plenty of Republican politicians are just as corrupt, the majority also by China.
Trump is one of only a handful of people who respects the Constitution and understands that the job of politicians is to further the interests of and protect the rights of ordinary, average American citizens - not just the elites and not foreign interests.
That's why the establishment hates Trump - he's an outsider who didn't come up in the Washington system, owing tons of favors and being dependent on other people (who are themselves corrupt), and he doesn't need their money, so they can't control him like nearly all other politicians. That puts all of the Elites' power at risk, so they are compelled to destroy him in any way possible.

In reality, he spent a lot of his business life stealing from people like them. It’s funny, because I have been told that saying that is making unsubstantiated accusations. @dustybiker. I'm not a Republican or a fan of the party. But here's the thing about Democrats and the idea of voting choices. In 2015, the vast majority of Democrats wanted Bernie. Tulsi was growing in popularity, too. But the Democratic party and its msm henchmen did their best to slander and ignore both of those candidates. Nevertheless, Bernie had the most support. But the party ignored the will of its voters and magically managed to appoint Hillary as the candidate.
The same happened in 2019. Bernie was ahead once again. Biden and Harris had to drop out of the primaries for lack of support. But somehow, magically, Biden was nominated by the party.
So the idea of giving voters worthy candidates is not the issue. The system is rigged, especially on the Democrat side.

Well, my take on that was the popularity of the republican side. Hillary had the best chance over an usually independent and outspoken Democratic option. And both sides were dirty in that race if memory serves.
