Have some men actually changed their political stances over the last few years just to please women?

There is a scary trend I’m seeing where former moderate political guys change their viewpoints to be more liberal just to please women. Most women I’ve met are liberal and since 2015 they have made a increasingly unfair (and self destructive) requirement they don’t want to give men with different political views even a chance.

I do think some liberal women are actually secretly turned on with the drama/challenge of arguing with someone they disagree with. However it’s become such a headstrong prejudice they instantly reject many guys if they find out they are conservative.

Personally I will NEVER sacrifice my viewpoints just to “please” a woman. I do enjoy debates and if i can be proved factually wrong I sometimes change my perspective. But I am not going to switch views just to please someone’s emotions.

There is nothing more beta and simpy than a man who does something that pathetic. Yet I think lots of guys are just so they can date more.

This is actually kind of stupid - women don’t find arguing about politics hot and it’s not unfair or self destructive to want a partner who has the same values as you (especially if the other person has sexist beliefs relating to their political opinions)


I have not heard of men changing their political stances to get women, and I don’t think this is something that happens often at all

I notice women are much more likely to bring up politics early in dating situations. You should see how much they talk about it on dating apps.

Probably because it’s important for them to find someone they feel compatible with and share the same values

@sunflower00 I’ve been around a lot longer than you. I can tell that most women never brought up politics in dating situations 10+ years ago. Seriously. I went to a very liberal college too and even there most girls never brought up politics.

Society has changed and not for the better. While I do agree that you need to compatible. For example I would never date a radical feminist. Fortunately most of them are ugly anyway.

However there is a larger swath of women who are getting brainwashed into believing that any conservative guy is evil and undateable. No matter how thoughtful he is about his views.

I know a couple guys who at least publicly claim to have changed their stance on supporting abortion to appease their wives or girlfriends. In both cases I don't think either one actually has a strong stance on the subject one way or the other.

Beyond that... No, I can't say I know anybody who actually feels remotely strongly about anything political who would change their stance on the subject for a woman.
