When people go on about contraception, they often fail to realise it is banned for certain Christian Denominations.
Ireland was a perfect storm, contraception was banned, abortions were banned.
Children were taken from mothers and put into religious care homes run by nuns etc.
i used to do some volunteer work when in Air Force and went to Namibia to help out on various projects, I was doing mainly driving and security but some stuff such as setting up tech or repairing it.
There was / is a lot of work done to reduce the spread of AIDS / HIV in Africa and key to that has been condoms and having more people use them, the work carried out by the UN and other agencies was actually doing well, then a bunch of Catholic missionaries arrived from the US and Europe, they then told everyone that it was a sin to use them and not to use contraception or be damned in hell type of thing.

I dont like abortion. Infact I'm staunchly opposed to it. But I draw my line in the sand at it. I do so because I don't want murder to happen. Weather others agree abortion is murder or not, it's irrelevant to what I'm about to say. These are my views so here they are: I believe abortion is murder and as such preventing it with any and all contraceptives is preferrable and I would not stand in the way of people using contraceptives at any point. In fact if need be they should be supplemented and free.
I'm not going to speak on the morality of casual sex or it's many contexts into what is moral and what is not. Sex with whomever you want is apart of free choice. As such I wouldn't stand in anyone's way. Allowing free education on sex, free vasectomy, free tube tying, free birth control, free morning after pill, free IUDS, I'm all for it. I dont want to see life snuffed out and I believe people ought to understand that there are risks involved whenever you have sex. Could be STDs, could be pregnancy, could be emotional trauma, a lot of things can happen. That's why sex is special.
People keep saying sex is no big thing. I disagree. Its an act you take with those risks in mind with another person. Sex is about trust and it should be about love too. But some people don't see it that way because of their backgrounds. Maybe no parent (s) in their lives or they got brainwashed in school to believe sex is only about having fun and hedonistic desires. I am not 100% opposed in cases of rape or if the mother would die or if the baby would die or suffer so horribly that the pain it would be in after birth would be unbearable allowing them no chance at a happy life. I'm not heartless, it's the opposite. It's because I care so much about life that I dont want to see it snuffed out for things like the sake of convenience. I know, I get you dont agree and many on gag dont. But I'm a hardliner on this and that won't change. Of course its going include wide ranges of diffrent values and beleives which have varring levels of support and popularty in each region due to divergent geographic, cultural and economic reason.
This is why state parties are technically separate with separate platforms. This is indeed part of the problem with federalism we have yet to master how to keep the parties and their platforms separate, and that comes down to commutation and strict division of power.

u I don’t use contraception but that doesn’t mean I think it shouldn’t exist. Contraception helps women in more ways than just avoiding pregnancy. It can help regulate hormones, it can help get rid of hormonal acne/skin conditions, it can help manage PCOS severe bleeding, it can help with a lot of things. It doesn’t help everyone but for the women it does help, there’s no way contraception should ever be taken away.
I'd try my best to move away, It's my right to have sex with my boyfriend without worrying about the risk of pregnancy. It's also my right to decide if I want to have children or not.
Also, for some women pregnancy is life-threatening (like my mother), and if she couldn't prevent it then she wouldn't be here.

@Still-alive, While it’s true most don’t support repealing Roe v Wade, the problem is the Court doesn’t think it should be making those decisions. Abortion isn’t explicitly protected by the bill of rights (Which is ironic considering many on the Left want unrestricted abortions, but support limits on gun rights, which IS explicitly protected by the bill of rights.)
The reality is most support legal abortion with restrictions. Gallop has it at 53% last I checked. The problem is the Left wants no restrictions and the Right is torn on either banning it or restricting it in some way. Since over 50% agree with the safe, legal but rare line of thinking, it all comes down to how strongly people feel about it and state representatives voted in will decide.
If it’s that popular on a National scale, congress can write a bill protecting abortion.
That said, there is no widespread desire for anyone to restrict contraception. I’ve heard some people come out against birth control since it has side effects, but nobody is going to go after contraceptives. There is no legal or logical argument. It’s simple fear mongering that the Democrats do to try to regain the support they lost over the last year.

I would not support that, I've used a condom every-time even if my partner said they were on birth control, and if they balked at the use of a condom I’ve gotten dressed and walked away.
That's a disaster asking to occur. It's already a mess with them being available to the public. Without them that's an STD's and pregnancies fest, not exactly what you would like with how economy is becoming.
Far as I know there aren't any states that ban contraception, correct me it I'm wrong. I'm sure a few nations in the middle east ban them but like banning drugs it's not very effective in stopping thier use.
