Preferbly answers from those who know the Canadian (ON specif) courts/law system and how it/they work/s⚠️ thank you 🙂

Anyways so... basically asking if I will be getting any serious charges/or sued.. so back in March, I lost my vehicle to an accident (no insurance, I was not driving it, but in passenger seat). Long story short I let a friend drive cause we were going to check out a new store. She offered to drive so I said "let's just take my car cuz it's already warmed up" I let her drive cuz we are old highschool friends and she never had a license when we were in highscool so I said go for it. On the way to check out the new store she is making a left turn at an intersection and juat keeps driving right into the corner of the intersection. She hit a pedestrian, a street crossing signal pole, and then proceeded to drive the car into a low cement wall/barrier, surrounding a parking lot along the intersection. The pedestrian, (a 65 year old man), was luckily conscious after the incident but suffering some pretty serious injuries. He is alive and making a full recovery last I heard. Turned out my friend had grown a pretty big drinking problem over the years. (This was the second time seeing her in years, prior to the week before, on the exact day, and I also had woken her up that day when I got to her home that afternoon, shortly before we left to go.) So I was not at all aware that she was intoxicated, resulting in this unfortunate accident. She was arrested at the scene, charged with 3 charges, and I haven't heard from her since. I was given a "summons of defendant" for permissions to operate motor vehicle without insurance, (or something along those lines), like 2 days after the accident. I've already attended the first court date for this and it was just pushed off to July 13th now. Should I be worried or get a lawyer?
