This group is a scam, just like BLM. Basically every dollar that doesn't go to self-enrichment goes directly into the pockets of politicians who would be voting exactly the same way, anyway.
Which for what it's worth, assuming that their donations actually went to where they said they would as advertised, they single-handedly outspent the entire "gun lobby." Do what you will with that knowledge.
Anyone who believes there is such thing as a world where people are safe is just delusional.
Violence predates humans it is the way of life on this planet. There is NO version of this where you don't have Violence, no law or decree will ever change that
In a thunderstorm, you can choose to sit in a car, surrounded by metal and with insulating tyres between you and the ground, or to fly a kite. Neither is 100% safe. One is a hell of a lot safer than the other. Is it too much to ask to check people's sanity and/or competent before allowing them access to firearms?
You're not understanding why it's pointless.
When a person needs a firearm said person will get one.
School shootings are done by minors they don't get their guns in the happy meal toy box they get them by looking somewhere they shouldn't.
Even if you somehow disarm their parents, they will find a gun elsewhere and if they don't they will do the deed with a kitchen knife or a molotov cocktail, or any one of 146 other tools that can kill.
The problem is you keep wasting time trying to ban guns, when that time and energy needs to be spend solving the real issue.
Why are people resorting to violence? When you create an environment when everyone is treated with some level of decency you will eliminate the extreme cases of social rejects that go berserk when pushed too far.
Are you truly 57 years old? Because if you are then you know that 18 is still a fucken child even if he can buy a gun.
You keep talking about him like he's some kind of calculated murderer who did what he did for some ulterior motive.
He is literally one of the victims, they all are. I was bullied a lot as a kid and many times that pushed me to throw violent fits, I never got to the point of mass murder but I was on that path millions of kids are as we speak.
We just hear of those who get to the end of that path.
We all make it a point to demonize these kids so that they don't inspire others but the fact is those very others get demonized every day by their own peers they don't care. A mass murderer is mentally disconnected from reality and that is not a state you get to Because you failed a test or got rejected for prom, it takes years of merciless torment and as long as that exists so will mass murderers and school shooters.
I really am 57 years old, and I have children who have passed 18. Can I take it you support the movement to restrict ownership of guns to under 21 year-olds?
Here's the thing. Angst-ridden teens have been a fact of life for millennia, but angst-ridden teens with AR-15s are an almost uniquely American phenomenon. The people demonising the child are those who claim that 19 children are dead because of his mental state, and not the combination of his mental state with an effective killing machine. Most other countries in the world understand that. Most Americans understand that.
The reason I came to this site, six years ago, was because of a young man posting nonsense about women because he'd been rejected, and because I thought the assessment of him on another site was unfair (the site owner was older than me, but he'd never been rejected by a woman in his life; he married his childhood sweetheart who was the first person he'd ever asked out, and they are still together). I have not been so lucky.
I think there's a misunderstanding here.
I am saying there is no such thing as a safe world. And that gun restrictions won't change a thing.
I'm not saying don't restrict them, I honestly don't care I'm not some gun nut, just don't expect that restricting guns will somehow make a difference.
Kids years ago didn't have AR15s but they also didn't have the internet and all the toxic information overload. There are many things that changed in today's world.
It doesn't come down to guns, it comes down with society's disregard to human sanity and well being that is higher now than ever before
This is how you know that we come from very different times. Here you are at 57 wanting for people to stand together.
And my at 25 already lost faith in people and their ability to do any good.
Maybe I'll change with time who knows. But I can't imagine a world where people just willingly do good and live lovingly together.
It's simple. You just have to stand together against bad behaviour. There will still be a lot of bad people, but society (meaning you) should stand up to them. Not to people who make you feel uncomfortable, but people who hate or don't care about other people.
If everyone left a store when someone came in openly carrying a gun, even if it's perfectly legal in that state, that store or that person will change their behaviour.
If everyone leaving a gun visible but unattended in a vehicle was ticketed, they will change their behaviour.

Biden's found 10 Republican Senators to vote for reasonable gun control, what do you think?
This is how government is supposed to work. Not just one party voting no on everything.
That’s right…make it so ONLY the criminals can get guns…
Protests generally change nothing most of the time. Now riots and violent mobs? Usually that changes things, unfortunately. Especially when it comes to BLM intimidating a judge and jury.
It is going to be like BLM. The people running this thig will grab all the money donated and buy mansions and high end luxury cars.
As a registered Democrat and a Biden voter, I am opposed to this. I smell insincerity and hypocrisy and they're just doing it to get attention and be famous.
Oh really? You don't say?
Its not “All Lives” as thats banished like Kevin Spacey.
Sounds like BLM
