What are your thoughts on Mayra Flores’s win in South Texas? Do you like her as a person? Did her election victory also make international news?

First time Republicans won a seat in South Texas since 1870.

Things are definitely moving in the “right” direction haha.

Anyway, won’t be that much longer until the left loses big in November.

But besides that I do really like her. She is a really pretty person physically and spiritually and not afraid to tell things like they are.

Anyway, I came across other news channels as well that seem to be from outside the country reporting on her win.

One station was from Colombia and the other was from Mexico.

Just curious how many people from outside the country knew about her election win?

I know basically nothing about her other than party affiliation which means it's safe to say she's a pro-family unit politician at least in terms of how she markets herself, but the fact a pretty decisively blue district swung so far into the red is a big deal. Not sure if it's one of them, but I know there were two Democratic districts near the border that were called almost immediately after Biden took over border policy that they'd be flipping red, and at least one border town's mayor actually switched parties on account of it.

The moral of the story is you can only make empty promises while screwing people over and running on platitudes for so long before the people you take for granted start demanding results.

I don't know who she is. I am not into politics. I just see the trend of those entrenched in power, putting up defenses and "legal" barricades to keep themselves in power.
People are all hoping in November while they are planning now.

I used to follow politics close enough to figure out that both parties are controlled by money from special interest lobby groups. I became disenfranchised with their political posturing, and bickering back and forth. Canada is another country where you're screwed no matter which party you choose.
