Question: SINCE WHEN was any of that firmly established as "rights"?
Answer: It was not, and you should have gone to your state legislature the way the Constitution originally intended.
Even though I am not anti-abortion. It is long since time to hash this out in the state legislatures, *where the issue belongs*, rather than reading into the Constitution what *just is not there*. The 9th and 10th Amendments of the Constitution ARE blatantly there, and they are clear that where the constitution is ambiguous, state law prevails. And no, I am not anti-abortion or "pro life". I am not keen on compulsory birth, but this issue needs to be hashed out in the states, where it properly belongs.
That goes for you too, who demand that "gay marriage" be called the same as marriage, whatever status it may merit, it isn't that, and nor is there anything in the Constitution that upholds it. Go fight for domestic partnership laws in your state as needed.
That said, for most, nay the overwhelming majority of women, it really will not make much of a difference. Why not? The dirty little secret about this whole issue is that for all the rights rhetoric (whether “right to choose”, or “right to life”), abortion is not an abstract "rights" concept. It is (1) a medical procedure (2) requiring a doctor willing to perform it.
In states where abortion is frowned upon - the states likely to ban or at least restrict abortion if Roe *is* somehow overturned - abortion providers are already incredibly rare. Vast swaths of these United States simply DO NOT have abortion providers as it is. Women seeking in those regions already have to make the long car or Greyhound Bus trip as it is, crossing another state line will not really matter much. This is not in some hypothetical world where Roe v. Wade didn't happen, this is the "boots on the ground" (or tires on the road, or fetuses in the womb) reality, *right now* already.
Suppose a woman in Idaho or Utah wants an abortion. Do Idaho and Utah even HAVE abortion providers? Or do those women drive or ride the Greyhound Bus over to Spokane or down to "Sin City" Las Vegas as it is already? This also goes for the rural Midwest and South even more so. All an overturning of Roe Vs. Wade would do is cause some people to change the car or bus trips, that they already have to make, a bit longer. The rural Nebraskan seeking an abortion might no longer have a provider in Omaha (if there is even one there now?), so she drives or takes the bus to Des Monies, Minneapolis at the most. As it stands, it's already a long trip for rural women seeking abortions, crossing a state line doesn't matter much.
Most abortion providers, understandably, prefer to practice in states where people support them and where clients are more likely to be, i. e., states where abortion won’t and will never be banned.
This reality means that however much energy is spent on Supreme Court nominee battles, a Roe reversal wouldn’t change the country’s total number of abortion providers much. In fact, a year after Roe is overturned, it would be the rare woman who would notice any difference in her life at all.
In their zeal to fight over the Supreme Court, though, neither side of the abortion debate has absorbed these numbers. Few pro-life groups realize they’ve fought a 50-year battle to put just a handful of doctors out of business. Pro-choice forces haven’t grasped that the millions they’ll spend lobbying to block certain nominees could be better spent tipping a lot of state and local legislative races. Or, for that matter, to build abortion clinics in solidly pro-choice states that are near the borders of states likely to enact or keep abortion bans.
And where I live in California, it's "Abortion Today, Abortion Tomorrow, Abortion Forever!" You can say that in your best George Wallace voice if you want to.

No one in the United States is going to force you to get pregnant and have a child women have 13 types of birth control men have 2 one is permanent. Also no one is forcing you to have sex (if you want to limit abortion to rape cases only sounds good to me rape incest and potential death of the mother most people even of the right support abortion in these 3 cases which would turn that 1-4 abortion stat you sited and reduce abortion to 1 in 10,0000 cases)
5th you say right to life. What about the babies life? When the women is pregnant does she now have 20 fingers and toes 4 ears eyes lips 2 butt holes and if the baby is male does she now have a penis? 6th the only excuses I’ve heard for abortion are selfish arguments “I wouldn’t have become a lawyer if I didn’t kill my unborn child” Or “I wouldn’t have become a famous actress if it wasn’t for abortion”. If you as a women (course what is a women) need to kill your unborn child in order to advance your self then you shouldn’t have that job I’ve been told all my life women are strong. are you not strong enough to raise children and have a career? Do women need to murder there unborn children to have a career? Kinda destroys the argument that women should have a career if they can’t have a career and have a child at the same time.
this is an issue I’ve done a lot of research on heard every argument from both sides and the pro life argument is the only one that makes logical sense otherwise your telling me women are weak and do need men to take care of them all there lives they are so weak that they should be living in there father’s home until she gets married and in which case she should move in with her husband and never leave the house again. Could you do me a favor, and let me know where it was reported that the Supreme Court indicated that it will “reconsider same sex marriage” and what is the case involved. As there has to be a legal case that worked its way through the courts and was accepted by the Supreme Court for them to consider anything. For example the abortion case was:
“Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization (19-1392)”
I would hate to think same sex marriage would be overturned, my great uncle is gay and has been with Phillip for almost 30 years, the were married a couple of months after the June 2015 Supreme Court case of Obergefell v. Hodges, which legalized gay marriage in all 50 states. Also one of my dearest friends is the daughter of a gay married couple. And the wonderful people who live across the street from my parents are a beautiful, sweet gay married couple. I have always been an ally to the LGBTQ+ community, even before my best (previously male) friend came out as transgender, now she is probably the best looking girl in our group of friends, and I couldn’t be happier for her! So if that is going to be overturned I need the court case so I can begin to organize opposition to it. I’m asking because I have heard this before, but when I asked the LGBTQ+ center on campus they were unaware of any cases currently making their way through the courts. This would be a HUGE help to me. Thanks in advance!
It was Justice Thomas on page 118-119 in the official decision on Roe v. Wade released this morning.
In a concurring Dobbs opinion by Justice Clarence Thomas, he says that SCOTUS should "reconsider all of this Court's substantive due process precedents, including Griswold, Lawrence, and Obergefell."

I understand that it doesn't affect these decisions. But it does show the stance on that Justice regarding those cases.
I’m certainly no fan of conservatives, and Clarence Thomas least of all, as he was credibly accused of sexually assaulting Anita Hill, yet he went from nominated to confirmed in 8 days, despite the very credible accusations against him by Prof. Hill. That being said, one of the cases included in the fear fest that seems to be going on from our side, is an end to interracial marriage. Yet Clarence Thomas is married to a white woman! Now it would seem to me, that the precedent upon which gay marriage was based is the same foundation for the legalization of interracial marriage, and I find it impossible to believe that Clarence Thomas would signal his “stance” on those cases, given that by SCOTUS policy as he IS married to a white woman, he would be forced to recuse himself from any case involving interracial marriage, so why would he signal his “stance”, it simply does not make any sense. The one thing we on the left do very well is make people afraid of the “What If?” I truly think this is one of those times. I worry enough for women in the states where abortion will be so restrictive, it will be da-facto illegal. Let’s not push our luck by spreading easily debunked rumors, as it will give those who oppose us even more ammunition to debunk our genuine concerns. The facts of this case are bad enough without the need to fabricate any “possible future boogeyman”. (Not that I believe YOU are doing that, but those on Twitter, where you get this info, are more than happy to try to scare people.)
After 50 years of this law being in effect and two being overturned, they are going to come after the LBGT community--they will ban same-sex marriage, restrict to take away the rights gay people who want to adopt children, who knows what else? All the laws now that are in effect are threatened--and this is why it is so important for people to go. out to the polls in November or SOONER, before you run into something and can't vote for whatever reason. The government is trying to and is succeeding in controlling people--and if we don't vote these old geezers out --if we don;'t vote BLUE, then you can bet they will also go after those rights and laws.
This was not a law that was overturned. The law to legalize abortion has never been passed by Congress. The was the overturn of a poorly written and based decision by The Supreme court in 1973. When Congress finally gets the balls to pass a law, the court will have no reason to decide on it.

I want to be clear why.
This is the 10th Amendment, the last amendment in The Bill of Rights:

In the past, the Tenth Amendment was used to give people rights - such as a right to privacy for abortion and a right to have homosexual sex. Since the Federal Government did not have any enumerated powers regarding legislating these areas, they fell under the Tenth Amendment and "... are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people."
The problem with the current conservative Supreme Court is that many take a strict constructionist approach meaning that "If it's not explicitly in the US Constitution, it's not in there and you don't have the power or right."
That's a problem.

That "OR" is the problem.
It means the states OR the people, but it doesn't say which has rights and powers and which do not.
What THIS US Supreme Court is doing that previous Courts have not is basically throw out the "OR" and make everything go to the states.
This is why abortion is no longer a right. A right to privacy was never an enumerated right of the individual, so they are leaving the issue up to the states.
The longer-term problem is that, for centuries, this ping-pong over abortion rights can go back and forth between conservative and liberal Supreme Courts for generations. Unless there is a Constitutional Amendment clarifying the Tenth Amendment or enumerating certain individual rights, ALL individual rights - except to own a gun - are threatened.
And I want to be clear: ALLLLLL personal rights are now threatened.

First off, no, the court very explicitly said that it will NOT be revisiting those issues, and the only person who has even considered it is Justice Thomas, and he wouldn't be able to do anything of the sort by himself even if he wants to without a majority support. You are being lied to.
The Supreme Court's decision also didn't illegalize anything. All it did was (rightfully) identify that the issue of abortion is not something that the federal government has a role in as defined by the constitution, and therefore it is fully in the hands of the state governments. Roe v Wade and its successors were very idiotically founded on and protected by a precedent of "making sh*t up that isn't there," and as far as politicians are concerned, the only reason they really cared about it so much is because that precedent gave them loopholes for government overreach elsewhere, and it's very likely that other, lesser known rulings will be revisited as a result. There have been several points since Roe that they could've actually amended the constitution and passed it into law if abortion was that important to them, IE Obama's first two years in office when the Democrats had total control of every facet of government, and public support for abortion was generally more favorable. Due to how the new ruling has been worded, it will also be extremely difficult to ban it (or much of anything else) nationwide, so it's not as much of a "big win" for the pro-life movement, though it will draw significantly more attention to state elections, which is on the whole a good thing.

In general, very few countries on Earth have a complete protocol of laws that respect the notion of moderated, free-thinking consenting adults.
The fact that the one crime that the most countries came together to enforce was about drugs should be reprehensible. That many nation of the world did not come together to ban rape or slavery. The decision was simply correcting an error - the Fed gave back the states' responsibility as to how the STATES will handle the killing of 60 million innocent lives! No one has taken your right to abortion. If you believe that than you truly do not understand how the government works. All turning over roe v wade did was push the power back to the states. If you live in a state that made it illegal, leave the state for another one where it's legal. It's still completely legal in most states. A case against gay marriage and contraception is unlikely to make it to the Supreme Court in the near future. And there are no cases now. Unless they have a case to rule on, it's simply not going to happen. Even if it did, the solution is simple, vote people in your state that will either make it legal at the state level or keep it legal at the state level. But the legal ruling is that there is nothing in the Constitution specifically about abortion, therefore there should be no court ruling permitting or preventing abortion. The problem is that can be applied to any right not granted by the constitution, gay rights, civil rights, etc.

The overturn of Roe vs Wade DOES NOT ban abortions. That is a liberal lie.
It returns the decision to the state government rather than it being federal. Abortion is not protected by the Constitution, therefore the decision by the judges back 50 years ago was wrong. Until it is passed into law by Congress and the POTUS, it cannot be protected on a federal level.
They said nothing about same sex marriage, by the way.
