Its a constitutionally correct choice, the Federal Constitution does not mention abortion anywhere, which is why the issue was a State issue for nearly 200 years prior to the edict just like any other form of murder or medical procedure.
Frankly people who don't trust their state legislator to strike a tolerable balance should be far more concerned about the State's control over roads and murder laws given they are already born.
This is, was, and is once again a state's rights issue.
I have no problem with women be scrapped and vacuumed out (as I understand the abortion process), but the federal government has no say in medical procedures, which belong in the hands of the individual states, as they were prior to Roe.
Yeh before that a woman could decide to kill your baby or not. If she did it's none of the man business and if she didn't , the men should support the baby ، so now you tell me if its good or not
Anything that returns power to the states so that local people’s will makes more of a difference an only increase the effect that their participation in the democratic process has. Like it or not, powers not explicitly stated in the constitution are reserved to the states. If the issue is that important to you, get out and campaign for it! You are now empowered to make a difference locally, which means far more than anything that happens in a distant court.
Personally I would say that it is bad but I am a man not even attempting to tuch this 150lb land mine my a 15ft pole by driving a tank over it. All girls should have their rights on seriously to themselves not to a bunch of Idiot's on the Supreme Court!
It's amazing! The government shouldn't have a say in anything anyways. I just hope the states all ban it and stop this horrific stain on this country's history.
This decision is NOT federally “banning” abortion. So many sheeple (yes sheeple) are misinformed about that. It’s just giving that the power back to the states to decide on abortion regulations.
Why the hell liberals living in blue states care about what laws are made in red states extremely irritating.
all the ruling did was overturn it at the federal level which means it's now up to each state to decide how to handle the matter. many deep blue states will likely remain pro-abortion with no restrictions. many deep red states will likely go pro-life with heavy restrictions. while the rest will likely go pro-choice with limited restrictions.
I believe sex is meant as a tool to help couples bond on a deeper level and not something to be used for casual hookups. but I'm not saying couples should have to wait until their married to start having sex. just consider waiting until they proclaim each other as their relationship partner before having unprotected sex. so if the result is pregnancy they have hopefully talked out what they plan to do about it.
Very good decision. Now states with common sense can protect babies. For the libtards who believe a woman's life is more valuable than that of a defenseless baby, go to the 20+ states that still allow it. This ruling does NOT ban abortion in the nation. It simply tells the federal government to stay out of state affairs. If you live in a state that bans abortion and want it so badly, move to a state that allows it. If you live in a state, you abide by that state's laws.
Oh u think I’m gonna stay in this country? Lmaooooo WRONG but guess what while u complaining, women in Europe have had less rights than u and they deal with it. Same with men. Some European countries are authoritarians…. But I’mma still go over there and have kids
@leighbee those millions of women should use birth control if they want control of their own body. They need to be responsible when they have sex!! Or don't have sex!!! Wouldn't it be easier to use birth control and not get pregnant than to get pregnant and have to go to another state to get an abortion? I mean, which one is more difficult?
Shut the F up, few less than 0.0001% rape victims will have right to abortion at state lvl but 99.99% Child lynches have lost their capability to murder someone kid... Yes its your body but its my kid who have 50% of my genetical material in him. Woman should stop their typical bitch ass "you do everything" attitude and start owning up for their shit and use birth control, I don't care if gov forces B. F to pay for female contraceptives or Plan-B but its a lot better option than murdering 6 months old baby with beating heart and functional brain.
Stop crying states will enact after 1st trimester ban, which will give woman 3 months to do the deed and 3 months is more than enough to know you are pregnant.
I will not allow you to use "worse thing that can happen to anyone (rape)" to get what you want, its extremely disrespectful and you are no better than one that deserve hanging.
@leighbee you said "Millions of women lost their rights today". Then you say "Tell that to all the rape victims that it is their fault that they were forced and are now forced to carry that child". I don't believe that there are MILLIONS of rape victims in America 🇺🇸. So do some research and find out the correct number of pregnant rape victims and I'm sure it will be a lot less than the millions that you say.
How the determine this? Did gov run a survey doing door to door asking people about it... NO its freaking trash made by the woke media with no scientific basis and you don't live US, so top making shit up. I am MD and currently enrolled in my Masters and I am far far more educated than you, to tell you something about epidemiology and scientific data collection. These fake ass surveys literally talk to one block of the city with very high incident rate and then try to apply it to entire country and recently US high school fail anchor tried to say, it represent entire human race. NO idiot you have to ask everybody before you present the data as facts and rate of false claims is also very high in US... I will stand in front of firing squad for rape victims rights cuz unless your useless ass, I have worked in emergency ward of our hospital for 2 years and have dealt with 100's of rape cases and unlike you I understand their pain. I have also seen thousands of fake claims brought to hospital with woman claiming rough ordeal with zero evidence of absolutely anything and when you tell them consequences of lying, they own up to fake claim. Rape victims need rights, we can agree on it but I would not allow anyone to treat them like useable commodity in argument !
another thing don't quote these bitch ass news outlets, present actual SCIENTIFIC PAPER on NCBI or any reputed site like this, https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/21164210/ Its legit scientific paper !
I just dont get why people need abortions except for rape victims. I mean there are condoms, pills, capsules and even medical procedures to prevent pregnancy.
I will not put my dick in a vag without protection, unless I wanted to get the girl pregnant who would want me to do so. Responsibility goes for both genders.
Condoms break, birth control is not 100% got pregnant twice using condoms and birth control. I even tried using plan b and still even after doing everything in my power to not get pregnant it still happened. I ended up loosing both babies but the point is nothing is 100% sadly
as much as I hate abortion for the fact that I believe is still murder I have to say that this was a bad decision because something tells me that there are ulterior motives behind this decision.
If someone is pro life, you should realize that this doesn’t only affect abortions. In states that will ban abortion, there is the question of enforcement. How much of someone’s privacy might be taken away, and what sort of precedent will this set for future legislation (like can the government regulate other stuff regarding one’s right to one’s body?)
Meanwhile, the American government has no problem dropping tens and hundreds of thousands of bombs on "BROWN BABIES" and "BROWN CHILDREN" overseas.
What's the death count in Afghanistan and Iraq ALONE at this point? This has nothing to do with the "sanctity of Life". They actually just want people to think twice about having sex in case of an "accident", because they're obsessed with OVERPOPULATION (which is a MYTH).
Yes there are thousands of things the constitution doesn’t mention. But it does mention the Supreme Court and the justice system which we saw play out today. There were other cases announced this year by the SCOTUS. So we see the constitution in action.
@BarryLiverstone there is nothing at all mentioned in the Constitution. So, what you're are saying is it doesn't matter what our Constitution says, everything under the sun is decided by the Supreme court. Who then needs the Constitution at all if what you say is true?
Nope that’s not what I am saying. I was answering the question and that like other cases this is the constitution in action. The USA needs the constitution as it is the basis for law and order in this country. Most other countries don’t have a constitution as long lasting as we have.
Good and bad but more so good than bad. We need less federal control. People are acting like abortion is banned or something. I'd imagine most places are going to allow it to some extent, and if not, you can just travel out-of-state to get it where it is allowed.

Wow. Someone with a brain. I didn't know that was allowed on this site.
This is, was, and is once again a state's rights issue.

thats interesting to hear a 17 yr old girl say this, i usually expect our generation girls to be totally pro choice especially the 16-17 year olds
That means no forced vaccines or masks!!! Yay
It's a very, very bad decision. Fuck all the people who are happy about this.

I feel sick. Millions of women have lost their rights today
@leighbee yes, but the unborn have rights now!!
@leighbee not all their rights when u say it like that it sounds like ur saying women lost all rights
@sage2021 you silly person. It makes abortion more deadly because women do it unsafely meaning more will die!
Then don’t do it unsafely
@JohnK123 yes women have lots their rights today. Welcome to Gilead
So having sex and getting an abortion is all the rights u have?
You are missing the message. The government is forcing women that to do with their bodies
But that’s not all ur rights
You are 16 years old. This is the future of you're children and grandchildren etc.
Oh u think I’m gonna stay in this country? Lmaooooo WRONG
but guess what while u complaining, women in Europe have had less rights than u and they deal with it. Same with men. Some European countries are authoritarians…. But I’mma still go over there and have kids
I am European 😂

Yes because when I was 15 years old I should of been on birth control when I was raped walking home from school. Shut up
@leighbee you said "Millions of women lost their rights today". Then you say "Tell that to all the rape victims that it is their fault that they were forced and are now forced to carry that child". 1 in every 6 women get raped in their life time

Do some research 🙃

@leighbee but not every single rape victim gets pregnant.

No they do not I agree with that. But they also may get STI's and obviously they will have trauma
@sage2021
Oh... My..
I'm not even a woman, and I feel sick. Something needs to be done, fast!
At least you won't want to ban guns now, don't you want to protect yourself?
Gilead here we come...
It is sick, 25 million women have lost their basic right to life since Roe v. wade was invented and imposed.
What not to sleep around? It is a choice. Rape is a crime. Abortion is murder. Sleeping around without protection CHOCIE
if women take illegal or unsafe measures... Then they did it to themselves...
@sage2021 which if you know something could kill you... Why the fuck would you do it?
I just dont get why people need abortions except for rape victims. I mean there are condoms, pills, capsules and even medical procedures to prevent pregnancy.

Sorry for your loss.

How much of someone’s privacy might be taken away, and what sort of precedent will this set for future legislation (like can the government regulate other stuff regarding one’s right to one’s body?)
Also like it or not, this legislation will lead to women seeking more dangerous methods to get an abortion.
It’s neither good nor bad. It’s based on the constitution.
The constitution is old and a million years from now hopefully we aren't going off that same piece of paper.
Umm ok
@BarryLiverstone but there isn't anything in the constitution about abortion.
Yes there are thousands of things the constitution doesn’t mention. But it does mention the Supreme Court and the justice system which we saw play out today. There were other cases announced this year by the SCOTUS. So we see the constitution in action.

You understand the legal foundation for the decision?
That abortion is not a right explicitly stated in the Constitution. There are a lot of rights not explicitly stated in the Constitution.
So what is next?
Any time a country starts legislating religious beliefs it's a backward slide to primitive violent bloody theocracy.
You don't care about this one and think they'll stop at abortion? They won't. And sooner or later they'll come for something you do care about.
They always do.
Good and bad but more so good than bad. We need less federal control. People are acting like abortion is banned or something. I'd imagine most places are going to allow it to some extent, and if not, you can just travel out-of-state to get it where it is allowed.
Stop having unprotected sex then.
The only times I'd think abortion was a reasonable option is sexual assault, or if the woman is in serious danger of dying.
Taxpayers shouldn't have to pay for your mistakes.
The irony is that I'll be hounded for this opinion, but guess what? My free speech trumps your abortion "rights" LOL
