Perhaps the greatest threat to democracy in history of America.

Not only that, but in that ridiculous hearing they are fucking misquoting YouTubers such as Tim Pool and saying he is radically right-wing.

Same. I used to like him when he was writing http://glenngreenwald.blogspot.com/, what, 15 years ago?
"Glenn Greenwald’s decision to resign from The Intercept stems from a fundamental disagreement over the role of editors in the production of journalism and the nature of censorship. Glenn demands the absolute right to determine what he will publish. He believes that anyone who disagrees with him is corrupt, and anyone who presumes to edit his words is a censor. Thus, the preposterous charge that The Intercept’s editors and reporters, with the lone, noble exception of Glenn Greenwald, have betrayed our mission to engage in fearless investigative journalism because we have been seduced by the lure of a Joe Biden presidency. A brief glance at the stories The Intercept has published on Biden will suffice to refute those claims."

Chenehesd! And that phony vaudeville impostor from Illinois, Adam Kinzinger... lol. What the pointy headed wonks will never understand is that a Liz Cheney denouncing Trump doesn't move anyone a fraction of an inch, because it's people exactly like her that fueled his rise to power to begin with.

Thank you! I should be confusing because i don’t play the games other people are playing. This response is no less rational, i assure you.
I have watched some of the hearings, but not all and i haven’t read any transcripts. However i don’t need to in order to know that this post was written strictly with bias. Cheney isn’t brave; she’s just doing her job. Bravery requires great risk, acknowledging that risk, and accepting the risks of certain behaviors. Cheney is risking nothing. Also, suggesting the events of January 6th is the greatest threat to democracy in the history of the US is pure hyperbole at best. Anyone who says this or believes it is grossly undereducated about US history.
Did you look up that book i recommended? - +1 y
Okay. How is it that you perceive a risk to her position in Congress?
“Being Wrong” by Kathryn Schultz
- +1 y
You’re changing the point again. You didn’t justify your belief that Cheney’s position in Congress is at risk. I disagree. We’ve caught congress members breaking the law, and they lost nothing. We’ve exposed others for behaving contrary to their words and apparent expectations, and they went nowhere. Even if she were the subject of the hearings, she wouldn’t be in any danger. There’s literally no risk to her position.
I’ve seen enough of the hearings to know that they’re nonsense.
You can feel free to ignore my posts, comments and replies though. Your bias is overwhelming and if you’re not interested in improving on that, i have no need or desire to feed your irrational impulses. - +1 y
No, I'm not. You just can't be bothered to check anything. "2022 Wyoming Primary Polls 2022: Liz Cheney now trails Hageman by 26 points.". For Republicans, telling the truth is worse than breaking the law, which is why Arizona Republican House Speaker Rusty Bowers is "no longer a Republican in good standing" after the state party's Executive Committee voted to censure him.

@Jamie05rhs Guess when the last time SCOTUS had 200 votes against their confirmation in the Senate. Guess which party made it that nominees for SCOTUS could be voted on without the assent of 60 senators. Guess which party already stacked SCOTUS.
(To save you time: Never, Republicans, Republicans.) - +1 y

And #3 Which party did Harry Reid belong to?
(I'll wait.) - +1 y
@Jamie05rhs 1. People should. 2. Nope. 3. Democratic, but he explicitly didn't change the rules for SCOTUS; look it up. He changed the rules for normal judges because the Republicans were objecting to more nominees under Obama than in the history of the country.

@Jamie05rhs No argument, then? Just shout and hope the conversation will go away?

@Jamie05rhs No, but it seems you are. Or unable to make a reasoned argument. Republicans changed the rules so that they could push Federialist Society justices onto the SCOTUS.

@Jamie05rhs Yeah, that's the funny thing about the truth, it exists independent of people's opinions. Like, say, there has never been a SCOTUS with 200 + votes against their "justices"' nominations.

You're lying about the money, of course. The bill to provide much-needed medical care to veterans would have easily passed if Republicans who voted to pass an almost identical bill earlier hadn't decided to change their vote.
Read the bill: www.congress.gov/.../text
Even Newsmax's Shaun Kraisman know Republicans are full of shit:
"But you can imagine — you can imagine — veterans that have served overseas in Iraq and Afghanistan, back in the Vietnam era, that have sacrificed their lives for us to be here today, are watching you and I have a conversation about certain pieces of this bill when all they want to do is get health care. Hey, stop all this back and forth, get us the health care that we need." - +1 y

So, true: Republicans decided not to pass a law that they'd previously supported, even though it would give veterans medical support.
But rather than accept reality, you'll lie and insult (and delete proof that you're wrong, given half a chance). That's what being a sad piece of shit is. - +1 y
So? They're lying. It has that much spending total. Show me what is unrelated to veterans' health care. Bear in mind 84 senators voted for the bill in June, and there hasn't been a word added since.

You don't have to trust me, you just have to read the legislation. And explain what changed for 29 Republican senators to change their minds about supporting it.
The cost of the bill was known in June, when 84 senators voted for it, and it never changed between then and now, when just 55 did.
