Note, this is something I missed, but evidently Viktor is being offered back to Russia for two prisoners being Brittney Griner and Paul Whelan. About each person here:

1.);Viktor Bout (former Soviet military officer and known arms dealer)

2.) Brittney Griner (woman's basketball player, arrested for having vaporizer cartridges containing hash oil which is illegal in Russia)

3.) Paul Whelan (former Marine, arrested allegedly for espionage)

Britney Grinder is a celebrity women with homosexual traits so is rescued by America for symbolic reasons, not because her moral value or contributions to the world are higher than others. It’s like rescuing Jennifer Lopez or Will Smith, a social move and not an ethical one.
