Is it like:

"every two oranges" is inclusive of two oranges, but the third or more would be neglected? Or a rule that every two oranges must be paired, without exception?

while "every other orange" would mean the first of every even pair, would be neglected, and only the second would be included/ noticed/ picked?

I guess without variables, and just looking at the indicating words.. "every other" means the following singular model/noun is a focal point, while "every two" has two models/nouns as a combined focal point.

So they're not the same?

But then let's say a person is driving and they say, "after every two traffic cones, make a left turn."
or "after every other traffic cone, make a left turn." It would appear the two statements have the same implication.
