Friend and I were debating corporal punishment in school. My christian school was a rather big fan of it, generally right at the head of the classroom... Her school experience was different and they didn't spank...

Mine did but doing that today would be difficult. I walked, rather than running on the grass, down the sidewalk. I learned both consequences and discipline. And the nuns didn’t mind rulering a note 📝 passing knuckle or two either.
