They're all major, if right wing media has anything to say about it. And they do. Endless things to say about it, in fact.

But it depends. If republicans take the house right wing media will start saying everything is sunshine and roses until the next election. And republicans have already said they will give in to Putin, so that will at least avoid the immediate nuclear threat. Granted, it gives ground to fascism but republicans notoriously "negotiate with terrorists," so if that's what people vote for it must be what they want. That will probably also bring down gas prices as Russian crude hits the market at a significant markdown. The only cost to us is a little bit of our soul, but it's not like we were using it anyway.

However, if republicans do not take the house, chances are Putin will see his last opportunity for an easy victory slip away and then he would become truly unpredictable.

Economically, at least, democrats have already laid the groundwork for a solid recovery. I suspect by summer 2023 things will be better than they have ever been in this country. If republicans win they will try to take credit for it, though, as they already have for some of the initial projects they voted against. Or they might even just sabotage it because in fact they do want economic collapse. They want us to be like Russia. That has been their goal for the last 4 decades.

you can see why many people would disagree with you given your point about Putin going "unpredictable". that is a substantial problem, yea? it sounds like your view is one of the current government... keep pushing until there is regime change. is that right?

But the jist is of it is to bring back domestic production as much as possible so that at least our necessities don't crash whenever global supply lines are so strained.

But yes. Hold the line until there is regime change or surrender is the ideal. In the US we are about as far from the problem as it gets, though, so the EU is suffering the brunt of the strain. If everyone turned off the news and just lived their lives, most would agree that things are actually pretty okay. But if they then went to, say, the UK, they would think we in the US might just be living as lords.

It is in line with it, yeah. Intimidation, xenophobia, and sociopathy are pretty well worn tools for the far right, and threatening nuclear war is certianly all of those things on display.

Oh, and boasting an unearned power they don't understand is also a well worn tool. I don't have "visions" per se, but I have weirdly symbolic thoughts from time to time. One of those is if a God abruptly existed and also abruptly gave humanity the ability to peel flesh off other people remotely if you first stomp your foot in a circle while bawking like a chicken 7 times, there would be a lot of right wingers stomping in a circle while bawking like a chicken. The thirst for magic power is pretty universal and universally unsated but only the right acts like they're being put upon for not having it.

The biggest problem Biden (and consequently Americans, and the world) faces is the fact that he is perceived as very weak by the international community, and nations like Russia, North Korea, Iran and China see it as an opportunity to destabilize and diminish western power. That's why Putin waited for Biden to take office to invade Ukraine. Things are going to get much uglier during the next year.
