Well, certainly there will be protests. Certainly this is the kind of thing that can happen when someone runs from the police. In the event, I voted "protests" as that seems the most obvious and immediate answer.
That said, whatever the particulars of this case and other cases like it, the cultural context is what is making situations like this increasingly common. The society is suffused in a self-pitying populism in which the common man feels - please note, "feels," and not "THINKS" - that he is oppressed and that the laws and institutions of society are corrupt and unworthy.
The result is a disrespect for law that conduces to the high crime and violence that plagues society. Eventually, and none too surprisingly, this feeds back into those institutions and those that are employed by them - like the police, the politicians, etc. - feel a similar contempt for the law and the institutions of society. The result then, in certain circumstances, is the case like the one in Memphis.
To be sure, there are particular factors and circumstances that were and are at play. These cannot be discounted and will, no doubt, be revealed in the courts. However, in the broadest sense, this is what happens when a society adopts the idea that freedom is separate from, and in opposition to, the institutions of society.
As Disraeli said, "A nation's freedoms are embodied in its' institutions. The march of intellect is not enough." This episode of police brutality in Memphis, as well as the riots that have plagued Atlanta at the other end, demonstrate the truth of that assertion. Society's institutions are in disrepute and are disrespected and the gap is filled by violence all around.
Regarding your update: five cops stopped a guy for "reckless driving". Even their own police department says that that term is subjective and nothing the individuals said or wrote in reports indicated what the guy actually did. They pulled him from the car and proceeded to beat and taser him when he was being compliant. That is on the camera footage from the cameras the cops wear. At one point, one cop turned so that the camera would not catch some of the worse beating.
When someone is being tasered their muscles are reacting to the shocks and they will spasm. Impossible for the subject to lay still! Yet they stepped up the violence because he would not lay still while being tasered. It became obvious they were going to beat an innocent man severely, possibly to death (as they did do) so when he got a moment to get free he ran to save his own life. "If you run from police they will shoot get a brain." He had a brain. If he did not run they would kill him!
Lots of the camera footage has been released and it is clear that the victim was innocent and was only trying to save his own life. Those (past) cops are the scum of the earth. They killed an innocent and cast terrible impressions on all cops, which will make the jobs harder for all cops. And there will be protests which will spiral into violence. America will never get completely over this incident!
Yes but the one thing he did was run from the cop had he not rum and made the cops chase him down is the spark to this so had he not ran he would be alive today

When they first showed pictures of them without their uniforms, I thought they were showing 5 gang bangers who got killed. I am very curious how ANTIFA and BLM will respond knowing that the 5 officers were their own. I'm surprised the media even released their pictures.
Just to be clear, normally it would have been one cop giving a ticked and without the suspect even getting out of the car. And because of the nonsense of the charge of reckless driving, it likely would have been tossed out of court if he got a lawyer to fight it.
Truly disgusting animals. I saw the footage of what they did to that man, and I think you have to have the mind and heart of a demon to hit and brutalize someone who didn't do anything bad to you or family.

For what has been released, they are deserving of prosecution. They used force far in excess of that needed to subdue and killed an unarmed man in a traffic stop.
If the deceased suspect had been white do you think anyone would care?

You white people seriously don’t understand. The police systems are built by white people so even if they are black cops, they are acting out on how they are told to behave by the white man.
