It is true that different cultures and societies have their own versions of “truth,” and that these truths may differ from each other, but the underlying concept of absolute truth still exists. To say that there is no such thing as absolute truth implies that all statements, beliefs, and opinions are equally valid, regardless of their accuracy or consistency with reality. This is a difficult concept to accept, as it would ultimately lead to a lack of distinction between what is true and what is false.
That is why I asked if they were absolutely certain🤣
You can't be absolutely certain that absolute truth is false without violating the law of non contradiction.
Lol no matter what he replies with, it's wrong unless he retracts his statement.

That is not a moral argument so there is no contradiction and any honest individual would accept that they are wrong if given evidence of the contrary. Only people such as religious zealots believe that they hold absolute truths.
So... I dont think that was a particularly interesting chat.
If you are absolutely certain there is no absolute truth, you simultaneously believe in at least one absolute and one truth. Thanks for playing🤣
But I dont have to absolutely believe in something to believe it to be true. I can't really think of anything that can't be changed if I was given evidence of the contrary. For example, I believe that I am a person living on earth but if I was given evidence that I was just an AI living in a computer simulated world then I would have to accept that it is a possible scenario and might have more evidence to support it.
This honesty, that your views and opinions are not infallible, is something people like you appears to have problems grasping. Which quite frankly says more about you than it does about me. Thanks for playing.
Tell me you're a sore loser without telling me you're a sore loser. Good day.
Just because a famous philosopher said something doesn't make it right. An original thought would be a welcome addition to your replies, but sadly doesn't seem to be forthcoming.
AHAHAHAH!!! "Does not make it right"? Wow. You are dumb. That has got to be the most insane thing I have heard in months and that is saying something coming from me. Congratulations on being at the cutting edge of stupid.
I mean seriously. How do I even respond to that? Not only is it basically foundational in philosophy but it is also self-evident and here you are saying I should not use it because its not an original thought? I would fucking hope not. Going by your suggestion we should toss out the truth once it has been found because "its no longer an original thought".
I mean, wow.. how do you tie your shoes in the morning?
If you don't understand the law of non contradiction there is no help for you. No amount of internet bluster or childish name calling will change that.
Says the person that think epistemology is, and I quote, "Just because a famous philosopher said something doesn't make it right" which is ironic because if you did not know it already then epistemology is the philosophy called the "theory of knowledge".
Also, you clearly do not understand the law of non-contradiction. It simply does not apply in this scenario.
The issue here seems to be you don't like the answer not the answer's validity.
If you cared about the truth of the matter you would admit that the existence of absolute truth calls other parts of your life or life choices into question. The cognitive dissonance that would produce is scary, thus its easier to argue with strangers on the internet.
I view morality ad subjective, as moral values change with society, time, culture, religion and the individual person.
But the dumbass who said that no truth is absolute, is an absolute fool. Some first year philosophy student trying to sound competent.
everything is relative... that's an absolute truth
Shouldn't it be "there is no absolute morality."?
