Ukraine War Opposing views? Everything I see on CNN is spun positive. Do you see opposing views like this? I suspec the left media will see anything opposing policy as "Russian propaganda"... but is that reporting? Why aren't' they interviewing people like this?

Assaults and violent crime... are you seeing things like this in your feed? The race is often not called out anymore, unless it's a cop or "white on black crime". Black on other crime is not called out, correct?

Just seems there is a problem in media messages, and I wonder if you think it is feeding the division in perspective within the country.

I'll occasionally watch interesting clips from msm, like the ones you posted, if someone posts them.

I have other sources, including independent journalists and researchers who send me articles via email, and podcasters who interview honest experts. Also, some of my Facebook friends around the world are amazingly bright and informed. They share links to information that I wouldn't see if not for them.

No, I do not see videos like these. Mostly because they are stupid and I want either something entertaining or informing.

For example. Saying that the solution to crime is to keep criminals in prison longer is like saying the solution to famine is to keep the food in the factory longer. The prison is supposed to resolve the problem, to turn a criminal into a non-criminal. Extending the prison sentences is literally reducing the efficiency on the one job prisons has.

As for presidential gaffes? You have had Donald Trump, Obama and George W Bush. None of those fuckers can talk with the possible exception of Obama when he is not stuttering. That is the quality of American presidents I have come to expect throughout my entire life. Its not news.

Fearmongering over Russia is also stupid. Russia is getting beaten so badly it has become a comedy. As for the financially worried people, you clearly dont understand. To put it bluntly, most of the stuff sent to Ukraine is just 2nd hand military surplus USA had sitting around. Which means you are actually saving money because it costs a fair bit to keep these things in storage year after year without using it.

Then we have other financial aid to Ukraine. You are still getting a bargain. A few billions sent to Ukraine means you can axe defense spending since 50% of the reason you pay all that money is to counter Russia which now is being destroyed. A one time cost to help Ukraine vs a yearly drain on your economy as hundreds of billions of dollars go down the drain filling up those storage with stuff that USA will never use.

I literally have better things to do than to watch this nonsense that any reasonable human being would instantly see is rubbish.

Good writeup. I don't agree with a lot of it. I'll try not to be argumentative,
but the other presidents got a lot of grief and awreness, as far as I know. Bush was constantly satired on SNL, at minimum. Obama was polished, couldn't make fun of him. My point is... Biden is old, he does show signs of mental lapse... but won't see that on left media.

Russia/Ukraine - um yea, that's an important topic, but ya won't find a balanced view, nearly anywhere.

Interesting points on the finncials of Ukraine. I doubt that is factoring in the cost of loss of food production and materials and lifelong payments to wounded people. USA is funding Ukraine's pensions I hear, or NATO. Nothing like having a big "printing press"... This is why the "founding fathers" said "gold will be your money!". Both Donald Trump and George W Bush are really dumb on the level where I consider them intellectually challenged. Even if Biden were suffering from mental decline due to old age that still puts him head and shoulders above these two buffoons so I am neither worried nor surprised about the quality of American leadership. This is more of what I have come to expect.

Ukraine? There is no two ways about it. Ukraine is currently winning and supporting them is such a fantastic idea that you can't make an actual counter argument. The discussion would have to be "How much more should we increase our support?" because this is probably the smartest and most successful diplomatic move USA has done in my lifetime.

As for what Sweden is known for? Ikea? Meatballs? Steel production? Also we have a rather impressive weapons development program that gives you Americans a run for your money. Speaking of money, there is very good reasons we dont use gold anymore. It can't keep up with the growth of the economy so it becomes a bottleneck for development and the economy. Dropping the gold gave the governments more tools to control and influence both the economy and the world. Of course, tools can be abused but its overall a net positive.

As for what sources I use? I got a few that I trust, a few others I trust less but know their bias so that I can correct for when they stray into topics that they are less accurate on and lastly those who are incredibly biased but strictly focused on specific areas of expertise.

For example, when it comes to Ukraine I find that open source intelligence accounts has done a fantastic job on delivering very factual information that I can use to form a good understanding of what is going on. My two favorites are:

Fox News is fake news. When I see it in my feed I just point out that they routinely admit under oath in court that they lie and manipulate videos for money. I know people who watch it are going to continue watching it anyway, because feeling don't care about facts, but I figure having the information out there for anyone on the fence about it can't hurt.

c) violent people - the answer seems obvious to me observing NYC bail reform... you aren't allowed to think of that as it would violate a large voting block
d) race is part of the theme in the political news. Agree, people are in distress. They are also left, often, without the networks that get them to a better place in life. The "picture" of the society is painted differently in left or right media from what I see. The left looks deeply flawed to me, if not abusive to this culture. That's why I ask if these see these, it's another question of how it is translated. The left includes other races/colors, but the subject group in the media is black/AA.
