Why do western countries think of India as a highly rapist country where its actually the opposite?

India has many problems but it isn't as misogynistic as western people think of hearing from Fox news. Crimes against women are a deep problem in every society and everyone is ashamed of them but it's not just Indian men.

1. Indin media make rape cases a huge dramatic event to hide culprits and own publicity, some of the racist western media do the same for TRP.

3. In most modern states women have far more sexual freedom and partners than men.

4. Republican states In the US show far more misogyny than almost everywhere in India. Republican states ban abortions, jail doctors and people who help them, and even consider the death penalty.

Conservative north Indian states almost behave the same, however, positions of women are far better in the south and most eastern states are even female-centric. Females are heads of families and primary breadwinners. It's just more people from north India migrate to the west.

5. 50% of female abuse and rape cases are fraud, women lodge a rape complaint even after simple breakups if you don't believe me, search on the Internet. I have personally faced it, I helped one friend in such cases of rape and it later turned out she was having two boyfriends and was trying to make one jealous.

Look I am not defending rape cases, but the false narratives the western people bear while never visiting other countries. I have lived in Europe, India, US, and have friends from all over the world. Those who travel to different countries never have this false narrative.

Just like when Americans accuse Sweden of being the rape capital of the world, this is also nonsense.

To put it very simple, you are misreading statistics and not understanding the data which leads you to the wrong conclusions. Specifically, rape statistics in general is complete rubbish. Partially because said statistics is defined by each individual country, meaning what is classified as rape in one country would not necessarily be in another.

Secondly, Rape statistics is one of the most misreported statistics in the world. If we take USA as an example then only 16-40% of rapes are ever reported to the police and rape is also a crime in USA that often gets swept aside in court meaning many criminals are proclaimed innocent. In other words, the rape statistics we have from USA is only showing us a minority of a minority of the actual cases of rape. And this is true in pretty much every country to my knowledge.

You can say whatever you want quite frankly but if you are complaining about "false narratives" then this is exhibit A of what a false narrative actually is.

More than 50% of cases in India were proven false in Indian courts too, I have written this not to blame particularly the US but all of those people who regularly claim rapes only happen in India, or India is too unsafe. But actually, the situation is the same everywhere.

Because of all the gang rapes. India is one of those countries where a girl will be raped by the police when reporting rape. Only countries thst are worse are as bad are Pakistan, Egypt, Britain and of course Sweden.

The media is based on the use of selective indignation. They will hide most cases of violent crime and report only the cases they can make political profit out of it, this give us the false perception that everything is okay in our towns, cities, states, country, whereas we will see one case of rape in India or terrorism in the Middle East and believe that India and ME countries are crime-ridden places.

However rape accusations in India and the west are not the same, real rape does happen a lot but the majority of reported cases are fake. Due to parental pressure Indian women tend to lodge rape cases against former boyfriends or in case divorce happens.
