A new study shows women earn 99 cents for every dollar earned by a man. Are you happy the wage gap is now almost equal in 2023?

This is nothing new, really. The only thing that has changed is the organizations who do these studies are finally starting to factor in all the variables that cause what they refer to as the "uncontrolled gender pay gap". The "controlled gender pay gap" is still 1%, but that just means they haven't quite figured out how to control for all of the variables causing it. But they will eventually figure that out too, and as with everything else, it will come down to the different life choices men and women make.
It's interesting how feminists complain that women do more of the domestic and caregiver duties, but the other side of that coin is that their husbands are doing more of the provider duties by working longer hours, doing more difficult jobs, working more overtime and weekend shifts to bring home a better income for their families.
This was a telling study done by a couple of female Harvard economists who concluded the difference in men's a women's earnings came down to one thing... their different choices.

"Even in a unionized environment where work tasks are similar, hourly wages are identical, and tenure dictates promotions, female workers earn $0.89 on the male-worker dollar (weekly earnings). We use confidential administrative data on bus and train operators from the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) to show that the weekly earnings gap can be explained by the workplace choices that women and men make. Women value time away from work and flexibility more than men, taking more unpaid time off using the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and working fewer overtime hours than men. When overtime hours are scheduled three months in advance, men and women work a similar number of hours; but when those hours are offered at the last minute, men work nearly twice as many. When selecting work schedules, women try to avoid weekend, holiday, and split shifts more than men. To avoid unfavorable work times, women prioritize their schedules over route safety and select routes with a higher probability of accidents. Women are less likely than men to game the scheduling system by trading off work hours at regular wages for overtime hours at premium wages."
The only reason we still talk about the gender pay gap is that it's the last hill feminists have to die on, so they can't let it dies because it would mean the death of feminism.

The “wage gap” is zero, when you take all factors into consideration. Men do the more dangerous jobs. Men work longer hours, Men don’t take leaves to have babies. Men rarely call off sick. Men are competitive for promotion.
if a woman is willing to forego bearing children, work 12 hour days, hang off the side of a bridge, she will absolutely make the same pay as her male colleagues

If they are being paid for their abilities and work it's fine. Some women I know made more than males. Some probably make less.
A lot of the gap is ability to negotiate. I doubt the statistics because at the executive level, I doubt they do make that much... and execs are over compensated...
Coach, I want a woman to make the same more as I or even more if she does the SAME job, and/or does it better or more efficiently than I. I have worked in manufacturing environments with women that were, in fact better than some men, myself included.

The so called gap is figured out by adding everyone's together and looking at the different but the problem is that men go for higher paying jobs doctor engineer vs women that will nurses and secretarys, plus men work more overtime compared to women who like to go home to their families after work

I’m sorry but I have to say this as a guy who has tried to advocate for YEARSSS that women get paid better, women have good positions, women have authority that has really bit me in the ass. There are women who abuse their power and status and pull out the IM A FEMALE CARD and whine like a self entitled Karen. Men are the ones doing the shitty jobs, men are the ones helping create the infrastructure such as roads, highways and buildings, men sadly commit suicide wayy more, the legal system is against men for marriages which is why guys/men are turned off by women now.

The gender wage gap has already been debunked. What studies fail to mention about the wage gap, it's based on a average of what men make vs the average of what women make which is very misleading. Men are more likely to seek higher paying jobs, work overtime and are more willing to ask for raises, which skews the numbers in men's favor. If you really think about it, if the wage gab really existed, why don't companies higher only women to take advantage of smaller salaries?

I remember here in the UK they sample company payrolls and found every airline was a big offender you know the ones were the women were mostly cleaners, ticket checkers and stewards and the men were in ATC, captains or pilots for the most part
