for a fair start, i will give example of both.  a. the female professor at college had to pay only 1k for her course, while her husband, same field, had to pay 5k. he never complained, it was just something that once came up. in this case, i definitely think it was a privilege for her to graduate the course with lesser fee. they're both successful, but she's more successful and while she might be hardworking for sure, this woman privilege might have had played a role. b. women only gyms. those are only there to keep the creeps away. im not saying there are many harassment cases at the gym, but i have had girl friends mention that they don't feel comfortable with sharing it with men, stranger men to be more precise. one of them even built her own gym, next to her house because of this. if that was an affordable option, believe me, we all women would have our personal gyms lmao. another case, my best friend who sixty percent handicap, she has a fitness trainer and she insists on them being female. ik incels would say that if she's handicapped, she's probably the last person to harassed or whatever. but really, she feels that vulnerable as a woman that she can't trust any guy with her issues. i brought this up because many others comment on her personal choices that she needs help, she shouldn't be picky about the gender. but i understand her situation. it's hard to trust men.

Women's privilege does exist. And I have this feeling that that privilege has been successfully implemented with the help of guys as well.

As for the things women use to protect themselves. Yes, there are. Women need things to protect themselves. Gyms for example.
But I would stop there. The prices should be same, everything should be same. If this is not done, then it is not protection, but discrimination.

The man in your example got discriminated against. That should not happen. Many of us (guys) are able to appear to be understanding, but there are many who take their revenge in one way or the other. Hence, discrimination should not be done in the name of protection. Because things always come around.

I read a post this morning, about a females only business space and other thing. I think it is good, given that men also get men only workspace.
Thanks to false cases, men are wary of interacting with women in their workspace. One woman is enough to ruin not one, but many lives. The same goes in reverse direction as well.
Isolation of women and group of men only is something that men are doing to stay safe. Not to keep women safe, but to keep themselves safe. Big difference.

Most "privileges" that people will point out are just our mating strategies. Though EEO, EDI, and SBA are privileges that men are specifically targeted through. The flip side of that is that now, and moving forwards into the future men will be able to take advantage of those same policies by saying they feel like a woman to overtake the advantage women have had using those same policies.

I don't think it's too much of a stretch to compare it to women's sports, but applying that to the corporate ladder going forwards a couple decades for every company that has an HR department.

a.) You didn't really specify why she only paid 1k while her husband paid 5k. It might be for reasons other than gender. Are you implying that she was getting gender specific scholarships?

b) This is not necessarily a privilege. If there's a market for female only gym, then businesses are going to cater to that market. It's just basic capitalism. In the US, there are plenty of male only clubs today.

But I do agree that in general, women enjoy certain privileges, while men enjoy others. It's based on how society perceives men and women.

Of course it exists. There are many women's outfits that men would get kilt for wearing! Men usually get blamed for rape, even if a woman is the perpetrator. Ladies always go first. Women can use their priviledge to manipulate men. Women don't seem to have to be proactive and ask men out, but men seem to.

Yes, extensively. If I keep it in just on education. Women have to pay less money, seats are reserved for them, and women-only internship programs and most female professors don't wanna take male students while if a male professors say that he will lose his job. Some male professors also give girls more marks and make their male students do their part of the work, some male professor hand over a male student's research work to a female student for sexual exchange and scare the male student of the consequences, which happened to one of my friends.

Men and women aren't same as I see it. Apples and oranges. So I don't believe in concepts like privileges and double standards unless they're so extreme. They seem to function along the assumption that women and men are barely different from each other, and that contradicts everything I've learned both theoretically and practically.
