But in the case of abortion, that doesn’t count as a death or murder case.

This topic is a huge debate everywhere. Australian laws allow abortion in my state up to the age of 22 weeks gestation. I personally think that there are so many variable factors that go into making a decision to terminate an unborn human that it is impossible to play judge or jury on this or even to have an opinion. Eg - what if child come about due to rape/incest/ uneducated sexual consent etc - does a women have a right to choose then? Sorry hot topic of discussion and I believe it comes down to first and foremost quality of life for child and the health of person carrying it.
Because if a drunk driver killed a pregnant woman or a serial killer killed a pregnant woman they can tack on an additional charge. Has nothing to do with if the woman knew of the pregnancy and wanted it or not. That said most pro choice people aren’t debating if it’s a life it obviously is; but it doesn’t have a personhood. And it’s no one’s business if that life is wanted or not; the only people that should be involved in that decision is the ones involved in creating the life. Sometimes the other person involved in creating isn’t around or available to weigh in on the decision so it falls to the person who will ultimately have to deal with all the changes their body will go though.
So you admit you're a hypocrite
From what you said I gathered that you believe a mother can kill her own unborn baby, but a stranger can't
No I’ve stated that in the eyes of the law it does not matter if the one pregnant wanted the baby or not, it doesn’t even matter if they were aware of it, it’s an additional charge that will get more prison time. I’ve also stated that it’s no one’s business’s what someone chooses to do with their pregnancy but those involved in creating it.
So you're basically saying killing an unborn child is fine, as long as it's the parents who are doing it.
Personally, I agree with what some other people said, that under British law at least, you can only "murder" a "person", and a child still inside the womb, while it may be a living thing, isn't a "person", so therefore, it can't be murdered.
So YOU can murder your unborn child and be glorified for it, but if someone else murders your unborn child they should spent the rest of their lives in prison? So funny how that works.
I'm not. I'm just saying there's a double standard
Personally, I don't consider it a life until it is born. Why - simple expediency. We have to pick some time. Technology is not far away from where we an create a fertilized egg almost entirely in the laboratory from synthesized DNA. Then what? Is it a child once the computer calculates the sequence? Once the DNA is fabricated?
I really do understand why people oppose abortion, but I don't want any child to grow up with parents who don't want it.
Racism
Pro "life" people, are all about racism
They realize that SUPPOSEDLY blacks are starting to outnumber whites, so, why do racists want abortions to stop so badly. It's because it's a dog whistle at whites to stop aborting, but they want blacks to abort. They just won't say that to their faces
ABORTIONS ALWAYS BEEN ABOUT RACISM
Black woman goes to the clinic and gets an abortion. Two weeks later, she receives a random check in the mail for $1000. Confused, she calls the bank and asks who the check is from. They tell her, "Crime Stoppers"

I don't think anyone is debating if it's life at least anyone logical. Obviously it's a life in a sense. But it doesn't have personhood. By the way is generally only considered that in most places if the perpetrator knew the woman was pregnant. In the end it's all about bodily autonomy. It's a choice. Being murdered and having your unborn being murdered is not.
How is that uncomfortable?
Your question is based on a logical fallacy. Nobody has ever said the unborn baby only counts as life if the mother wanted it. When or where life begins is a question for philosophers but ultimately irrelevant. Death is inevitable, suffering can be prevented. If ending one life now, can save another there is a positive net gain in quality of life.
It counts as a life regardless. What matters here is, if that life is one we want to carry to term or not.
Because women are God now and can choose who lives and dies. Welcome to the dystopian future.
It still counts as potential life. The difference is the mother decided to go through with the pregnancy and is excited to bring new life into the world.
So basically the mother can kill it but someone else can't?
The question was "Why does the unborn count as life if he or she is wanted by the mother?" I'm saying it doesn't count as life. It counts as potential life.
To answer your question. Yes because the mother is the one who becomes pregnant and should have the right to decide if she does or doesn't want to give birth to it.
That isn't even the main reason why I'm pro-choice. I don't see why kids should start life at a disadvantage and be punished because their parents were irresponsible and reckless. The majority of these unwanted kids are going to grow up to be criminals anyway.
