What is good and what is evil? Me and you have fundamental differences on what that means I believe transitioning, anyone is evil, you think that’s right. I think supporting anything Karl Marx ever said is evil you do not.

We can’t have a total war on evil. If we don’t agree on what it is, I’m sure we agree that murder is evil or theft. But that some basics. So, in reality we can’t do either until we figure out what evil is and what good is once I was going to win once I was going to lose.

I guess you’re talking nukes. But WW1 ended with some wicked gas attacks that both sides refused to use in WW2. So mutual destruction on that scale is a deterrent.

Yes, I'm worried about nukes. There are still enough nuclear weapons out there to basically end civilization. A total war, by definition would include using nukes. I think a lot of people have forgotten just how bad that would be

Kinda, not necessarily. My Q was really the Clausewitz argument on war. That all levels of society should gear toward victory and it should be over as quickly as possible.

Others have brought up using complete arsenals, so I get you. But again, if we used nukes on the Taliban, that would have been a shitstorm that would engage China, Russia (probably allied against us) and lose our actual allies.

You misunderstand the purpose of war as fought by the US since WW II: It is not to "win" - it is to prolong the conflict and use up a lot of equipment (that will need to be replaced) so as to enrich the military-industrial complex - the people that really run this country.
