What do you think of people who are full of hate and racist?

I have this American family and they say the worst about Mexicans and talk about awkward topics I feel drained being around them what should I’d do

Just remove yourself from the conversation when they steer it towards hate. It is absolutely soul sucking to be around people like that. Leave if you have to. You can’t change other people but you can control how you react to them.

Life is short so why can't we all be kind to each other. I'm young but it seems to have gotten worse about 6 years ago.

Like politics and i watch what I say cause my uncle will tell me if I have a different opinion. It’s like walking on egg shells

Many are ignorant and just copy things they have heard others said. If you are hearing things you can ask directly “I am an individual, does that relate to me?”
