Do you agree sugar is an addictive drug like heroin?

Hmm, for me probably. I'm a diabetic and I can die without it, lol. My pancreas doesn't produce enough insulin and sometimes my body gets thrown out of wack because the body will filter out all that ecsess sugar through the liver and kidneys and get rid of too much
As a result, my sugar crashed. So, it's not much different than a street drug when you have to keep candy bars on you all the time, lol.
Yes sugar is everywhere and in everything in US
Did you know that Chips! salty ass CHIPS! Are loaded with sugar
Big Macs have 9 grams of sugar
That’s almost half of the daily recommended amount of you eat a Big Mac
The rest of what you eat for that day has to be low or zero sugar

Most people can cut off their sugar intake and not have withdrawal symptoms.
I've never touched heroin or had another type of drug dependency.
my drug of choice since a child is sugar. specifically.
white sugar, granulated sugar, powdered sugar, brown sugar, maple syrup sugar (the real kind)... icing especially vanilla or lemon but as well chocolate, cakes, pastries, pasta, pies, bread. Cookies, ice cream, baked goods of all sorts like danishes. Fruit of all kinda.
Sugar tastes good.
my family is like this... we were raised this way and still alive to tell about it. I met my Chinese wife's family and they hardly eat any sugar... probably healthier. A french/italian colleage is like me... loves some sugar and bread. My family history... doesn't look so good, we have "sugar" issues and die of such illnesses related.
I think it's powerful that nature built into us, our micro biome, and it is who I am. There's something wonderful about sugar... but it does have a pull.
Becareful what you eat... you are what you eat...
Sugar is about as "addictive" as air, or water. You need some of it, and without it you will die. Low blood sugar will kill you much faster than high blood sugar.
That said, While sugar is not addictive in the same way that drugs or alcohol are, it does have the potential to become compulsive or obsessive.
Sugar stimulates the release of dopamine, a neurotransmitter that is associated with pleasure and reward. Additionally, sugar can lead to changes in the brain's reward system that can make it difficult to control cravings for sugar.
As a result, people who consume a lot of sugar may experience withdrawal-like symptoms when they cut back on their intake. While sugar is not addictive in the traditional sense, it can become problematic for some people and lead to unhealthy behaviors.
YES!!! I agree. I drink and smoke like a train but these soda-drinking freaks are dying faster than me! My alcoholic smoking ass gets demonized to no end, but then they die in their 30's. I'm starting to feel like they have no room to talk shit about my bad habits when theirs is sending them to the hospital.
No, it's just the current nutritional villain. Ten years ago it was trans fats; forty years ago it was saturated fats; a century ago, it was- believe it or not- sugar. Give it some time, and it'll cycle out again.
It is addictive, yes. Not like heroin, no. It isn't deadly (even though consistent sugar in the diet can lead to long term diseases and problems. Sugar is easy to kick. You just have to go 3 or 4 days without sugar and your cravings go away.
II would say both sugar and salt are highly addictive- the main ingredients in restaurant/fast food.
I think it's addictive yes, but not on the same level as heroin!! 💯
it more so
No, sugar is just a food. Stopping eating sugar will not make you mess your pants.
Sugar makes me look stupid 🤪
No idea what heroine feels like but sugar is 100% up there are a substance that can be easily abused since they put the shite in just about everything
Only a drug and sugar addict can answer this 🤷🏻♀️
I used to use sugar in coffee and cereal. I stopped using it over a year ago and I don't miss it.
no I dont but to some it may be sure but is it dangerous like heroin hell no.
Not as addictive, but like caffeine it is addictive
It is addictive, but it’s not comparable to heroin. It’s more comparable to caffeine. Heroin withdrawal will make a person physically sick.
I think salt is more addictive than sugar
Nope. not even close.
Yes it gives you as massive dopamine hit,
yes and very bad for you or us.
Hardly. Now where are my candy cigarettes?
yup and more dangeriouse
It’s not as bad as heroine but it is addictive.
