If saving the lives of children is the basis of gun control why aren't the same people against abortion?

A miscarriage or stillbirth isn't child neglect or a crime in anyway. A fetuse isn't functionally a living being the same way a person is capable of sustaining life.

You can take all the steps needed for a healthy birth and fall short of a life birth. Late term abortions are only used by waiting mothers to give mercy to a dying birth.

In terms of guns. Take away a carpenters tools and he's not getting a lot done. Dumbfucks tend not to be macgyvers. I say make gun culture more respectable and duty bond. Less toothless, only cleans loaded gun dumbfucks that we currently are. If we were like Switzerland I'd be proud of us. But were far from that and it's very disappointing. Until we can be better we shouldn't have nice things.

The "saving the lives of children" rhetoric by the anti-gun people is just a scare tactic using one heart strings to browbeat them into believing the lies they peddle trying to weaken the US Constitution into a meaningless piece of parchment. In other words, they are using emotions instead of facts and logic which they know is useless in their cause.

The anti-abortion people can't use that argument because the majority of which being brainwashed by religious dogma which wants to take away the freedom of choice from people who are not blinded by the dogma since the medical procedure is a valid procedure and should be available like all medical procedures are. Keep in mind, there are religious sects that won't get life-saving surgery done because it's against their religious principles.

It’s simple, one is a child that’s been born already and one is a fetus that’s 3 months old max. One has consciousness and a mind of its own, the other doesn’t. One has great potential for their future, the other doesn’t until it’s born.

Well I mean I think it's rather straight forward. They don't consider a fetus and a child to be the same thing. They want to steal all our guns to save the child in school despite the astronomical chance they'll somehow manage to survive 4 years without having to reenact that scene in Saving Private Ryan. They aren't against abortion because to them there's no child involved. Now we can debate whether they're right or wrong, but holding the two beliefs simultaneously is only logically inconsistent if we have a shared operational definition of "child," which obviously the two sides do not.
