Why do conservatives think that if liberals get away with a crime then conservatives get a free pass to commit a crime?

I didn't realize our entire due process and justice system gave people of different ideologies a pass to commit a crime. Because that is what conservatives do every time they are under fire for a crime. Like overthrowing the government on Jan 6th doesn't count for all that looting black lives matter did in 2020. Or trump is facing fraud charges, but what about Hillarys emails!!! I didn't realize our justice system gives out free passes to commit a crime.

With the intention of playing Devil's advocate, I believe they are emphasizing what they perceive to be a double standard.

Unfortunately, they are conveniently omitting relevant facts, either in an attempt to bolster their argument, or because they are simply uninformed.

They point to the BLM protests as a double standard, alleging that the protestors got away with it, while the J6 defendants are being prosecuted. What they fail to point out, though, is the fact that more than 14,000 people were, in fact, arrested in relation to those protests.

Furthermore, they highlight the similarities between Biden, Hillary, and Trump, while omitting the differences. They claim that both Biden & Hillary broke the law, with regards to the classified documents, and emails, respectively, while only Trump is being charged.

The key difference being that Trump is not in trouble for possessing classified documents, he is in trouble for hiding them, lying about them, and fighting the government's attempt to retrieve them. Biden & Hillary both cooperated, immediately, and every step of the way.

Biden was found to be in possession of classified documents, and immediately turned them over. Hillary testified and cooperated with the entire investigation.

I could list more examples, but the bottom line is, as I've said, that they misrepresent the truth, or omit/distort the facts that are inconvenient to tbe narrative they want to present.

They either excuse or whitewash their crimes, or somehow try to blame conservatives.

But since when do conservatives get away with crime? More often than not, they get the book thrown at them.

The two examples you provided were Witch hunts that targeted Trump. He was a disrupter that got in the way of the money flow in Government. The ones receiving the money want him GONE!

Until we can get fair and unbiased investigations we will continue to see discrepancies in accusations, charges, and prosecutions.

They don't. They are pointing out these crimes in addition, not instead of.

They are not like the losers who excused Biden for calling MAGA people fascists just because Trump had said something similar in the past.
