What's your opinion on Columbus Day in the US?

It should be changed to a day to celebrate the Native Americans/ Indigenous people. Especially nowadays, knowing that Columbus did not discover America, and amongst other things, he has been accused of.

First, I am against all of these freaks who suddenly get so "offended" hundreds of years later about stuff the happened in history.

Finally, it is just a day on the calendar to me. I don't get it off at work so I really don't care that much about it.

I wonder if the French sit around and freak out and get offended all the time for things during the French Revolution and all the beheadings.

German society seems to be moving along well and their history issues are just 80 years old.

This country has endless people walking around butt hurt all the time and lying guilt on people today for things that happened 200 years ago.

Sorry, I've watched too many news stories on this crowd, I've seen them declare trees around a golf course racist, math is now racist, I've seen too many old statues, torn down, vandalized, I've seen them changed the name of schools dropping the name Thomas Jefferson, George Washington and Abraham Lincoln.
No history is above being changed to accommodate their endless state of being offended... no litmus test is ever PURE enough for them. They never tire of being "offended" about things from centuries ago.
They are a cancer to this country.

I’m not American myself but I think it’s wrong to celebrate a day when a group of indigenous people that have been living on a land for over 10,000 years lost all their culture and lives when Europeans arrived.
