Why do conservatives bring up bidens "you ain't black comment" to prove he is racist when he apologized for it?

A racist like donald trump never apologizes for making a racist comment yet Biden has apologized for making a racist remarks. Every racist always has some gripe about being silenced and refusal to apologize for being a racist. So no Biden is not a racist despite making a racist comment because unlike trump Biden is trying to learn from his mistakes and is not digging in his heels like a racist like donald trump is.
