So lately I've been researching private security and correctional service providers for two different - albeit fictional - applications. This research has made me think about privately operated prisons and treatment centers.
Sweden recently had an attempted jailbreak incident where an inmate of an involuntary treatment center was freed by fellow gangsters while in transit to a dentist.
The government agency responsible for involuntary treatment In Sweden is known as the SiS, a Swedish name which can be loosely translated to the National Board of Institutions. The agency has no official English name because it obviously doesn't interact with the public.
How frequent are similar incidents - or jailbreaks in general - in the British, American and Australian systems, where private companies operate facilities like these?

Secure as any other prison.
However if you make money from housing inmates the justice system is flawed from the beginning, as the goal of a working prison system is to rehabilitate inmates so they can get released asap and got their life together and are given the chance to live a crimefree life.
Which is totally against the profit of a private prison.
Also a swedish organization wouldn't need an English mame, no organization has it unless its also sitting in an English speaking country. It can still be openly communicating with the swedish speaking public.
No such thing as private prisons here in Germany. We only have ~58.000 prisoners anyway.
I worked as a private contractor for a government prison. I can tell you for a fact that the private contactors are five times as smart as the government workers, and get about a third of the money.
